Where I First Met Him...
The lecturer droned on and on about the politics of the nation and I twirled my pen in frustration, who cares about it, the country was a cursed place to live in...I actually blame myself for offering this course in final year...
I looked across the room again at the new guy but he was already looking at me, it was like his gaze had not moved...
It was barely a week since semenster resumed and he just joined us today, I surely would not have noticed him in class if he didn't keep appearing in my dreams..
Sarah nudged me.."5 mins more"she said, I dragged my gaze away from the guy and tried to take some notes before the end of the class...The lecturer did keep to time and soon class was over
"So what next?" Sarah asked as we carried our bags..Sarah was one of my best friends, we had been friends from year one and my other close friend Jacqueline was in Economics and Statistics...
"Who's that guy?" Sarah suddenly asked and I looked away from him and looked at her, pulling her away I asked "who?"
"He's new, but you guys keep looking at each other"
"I think we should eat something before the next lecture ,I'm starved" I said instead
she stared at me "you are changing the subject " she said her arms crossed , Sarah was tall and lean like me with cute looks and I loved her but I couldn't tell her anything about the new guy ..it didn't help that I was dating her brother
"He just looks awfully familiar..." I said
"He does?" She looked skeptical " but he just resumed today"
Dejavu hit me "Let's just go.."I said pulling her away as I noticed him watch us leave...
"Hello Jasmine" Rebecca hugged me..she was kinda like the Queen bee of the class if there was anything like that, I didn't like her but I had to be nice...
"Omg Jas..I love your shoes.. You look so fabulous.."
"Thanks..I love your..." She waited and I found a word "bag...I have to go"
Sarah rolled her eyes as we walked away from Rebecca and her crew
"How do you do that?"
"Do what.

We got to the restaurant and ordered.. Jacqueline came to join us after I texted her, I kept thinking about the guy in class though even as I ate my food, was I dreaming or it was real
"Hey girls..what's happening" after exchanging hugs she sat down and delved into the food set before her as we had already ordered"what happened in class today "she asked
"If you minus the boring assignment we all got..nothing happened" I said
"What happened was there was a new guy who joined today..I think Jasmine was interested" Sarah said accusingly
"What..why would you even say that" I looked at her appalled
"You stared at him throughout class and wasn't even paying attention"
Jackie watched us then seemed interested "well is he hot?"
"No" I said immediately
"Then what was the staring for"
"He's scaringly fine..don't mind her" Sarah said
"I have a boyfriend okay..I love David"
"That's nice to know..I think you forgot that for like hour during class"
"What's your ish.."
"You both calm down and breathe.." Jackie tried to settle
"I dont want you cheating on my brother, he loves you a lot, even though I don't approve" Sarah continued her BS
"Thanks for being my security guard" I said with sarcasm
"You guys just chill .." There was silence "let's enjoy our lunch"Jackie said
David texted me and I replied, Sarah watched me with skepticism in her eyes, we changed subject and talked about the hangout this weekend but I couldn't stop thinking about him..images flashing as I shut my eyes and tried to focus on reality, the images were so real, almost like I couldn't differentiate my dream from reality anymore...
I opened my eyes and looked at my friends who were looking at me waiting for explanation...
