Finding Solace - Episode 11

 

Lol, so I couldn’t stop laughing at some comments but I should say one thing clearly. FIONA AND NICK are not siblings. The reason being that the accident occurred few years back and no one did a plastic surgery,lol, so Nick should be able to recognize his sister. But seriously, that would have been a nice concept too.
Also, Noah is the guy behind the screen that has been watching Fiona ever since she met with Nick. We do not know his agenda yet but we know it cannot be good or maybe it is but the guy scares me too . Here is what I will do to make things a bit clearer, probably I should write from Noah’s point of view too or what do you think? Lemme know if you want me to add Noah’s point of view at the comment box or not, The highest replies would win.

We got back at some minutes to ten pm. Sincerely, I had fun. Noah had taken us to an amusement park where I had the best times I have ever had as far as I could remember and he was also a gentleman. He never let me do something I didn’t want to do. Each time, he was always asking me if I wanted to try this out or try that out

. At a time I felt as if he was trying to protect me from something but I had no idea what because, well, there was no way he would have known I had a memory loss . Another thing was that, he never asked me any questions about my family or if I have been to an amusement park before. Everything had just gone the way I preferred.
His car stopped at the front of the house and he stepped out of the car, turned around before opening the door for him, that actually reminded me of Nick.
I smiled as he took my hand.
“Thank you Noah.”
“You are welcome mademoiselle .”
He walked me towards the front door and then we stopped.
“So , I hope you enjoyed our outing?”
I smiled. “Yes, so much. Been a while I had much fun.”
“Really? Nick seemed like a guy who knows how to make a lady have fun.” He said curiously but I smiled more.
“Nick is a busy man and I do not like distracting him.” I declared.
“Well, that is really nice.”He nodded, dipping his hands in his pockets.
I didn’t know why he was waiting, he definitely should not think I would invite him in since I barely knew him .
‘Alright then, goodnight Noah.” I quickly said, grabbing the keys from my purse. 
He took the hint and smiled. ‘Alright Fi. By the way, that is my house next to yours.” He said, pointing but I didn’t look. “I would call you.” He then walked back to his car and soon drove away.
I exhaled slowly as he was gone before turning to the door. I put in the keys but surprisingly, the door was unlocked. I stepped back, surprised. I believed I had locked this door. How come it was unlocked. I looked around, Nick’s two cars were still in the garage, he didn’t go with any so…oh! I recalled the lady Nick had said would be here, had he given her a key as well. I shook my head, maybe they were really close. With this thought, I pushed the door open.
The living room I had left earlier today wasn’t this noisy, in fact, it has never been this noisy. A loud music was playing from the music player, The door must be silence- proofed, because the music should be heard like ten blocks away. It was that loud!
A lace pink bra was hanging on one of the couches. A pair of high heels was kept under the glassy table and the big teddy was now on the couch instead.
This was insane! The lady just turned this house into her own home!
I sighted the remote under a very fine pure leather handbag that was on the floor and I took it and put off the music quickly. It was giving me such a headache!
When it was finally silent, I placed my left palm on my forehead, while trying to relax. That was when I heard the shower running until it stopped like someone just put it off.
This was unbelievable! Even if she knew Nick, she didn’t know me, she could have at least, met me first!
I waited patiently for her as I could hear the tap-tap sound of her wet footsteps against the tiled floor. There were two other guest rooms downstairs, so she must be coming from one of them, I thought to myself as I sat down, waiting.
Instead, Nick’s door which was at the other side was opened and my heart stopped breathing for a second. Was Nick around?
Instead, I was confronted by a young lady that was wrapped in a  pink towel which barely covered anything. She couldn’t have been more than my own age. Her long eyelashes shot out like twigs. Her beautiful long legs and perfectly manicured nails were still wet. Her nose  was pointy, she was so beautiful, like one of those super stars and she was looking at me with so much shock and anger.
“Who the hell are you?” She demanded and I snapped out of my thoughts.
“Who are you?” I asked back. She was only here to help me, she needed to show some respect.
She had that “Imagine-this girl” look and then she walked closer.
“I should be the one to ask the questions so you better answer before I throw you out!” She shouted.
I couldn’t believe this either so I stood up.
“Look, whoever you are, I am sure Nick told you someone lives here so it will do you enough good to explain who you are because I have been staying here for some weeks now!”
She scoffed and threw her hands. “I have been staying here for years ! What the hell are you talking about! I am Yvonne, Nick’s fiancé! So, unless you have a better explanation, get yourself out this minute! Or I will call the polices!”
Maybe I hadn’t heard that right but I did and that was when I realized the pyjamas I had won that first night was in her right hands.
I was quiet as several thoughts were running in my mind, Nick hasn’t told her about me or me about her. 
“Hold on, you said you have been here for weeks, so you were the reason Nick stopped calling me or picking my calls!”
I said nothing, I was battling with my own thoughts. This kind of shock and embarrassment seemed so familiar. The sense of panic and fear that engulfed my existence right now was also familiar. I had experienced these feelings before and it was as terrible as it was right now!
“I would like to call Nick.” I said softly, my brain scrambling desperately to make sense out of all these. Dipping my hands into my bag , I brought out the Samsung, I found several missed calls from Nick and it started ringing again. As I picked , the lady snatched it from my hand and began to shout at Nick.
“So you brought a whore to or house Nick! Is this the reason why you kept asking me when I would be coming? SO I wouldn’t find out anything about your dirty secret! I have found out! She is leaving this house this minute!” Then she ended the call and threw the door phone at me.

. I was unable to catch it so it crashed to the floor, the battery flying out and vanishing that instant.
“Get out! Slut! Never let me see you here again!”
My mind was still a surging perplexity and the more she shouted at me , the more confused I became. As my brain was trying to make sense out of all these, my mind was trying to remember where this has happened before. Yes it seemed it has, I was so sure of that. I left the house in fear of finding myself running mad. When I got outside, I realized I had no where to go or a phone to call anybody.
I blinked back the tears that were piling up. My heart was beating frantically and I felt so helpless. For the firs time, I felt the true pain of not having anybody.
Just then I remembered Noah had pointed to his house. I hadn’t looked. Thunder rumbled in the far distance so I walked down the steps. I would have to start knocking from door to door…
