Evidence Of True Love
They were so happy to welcome their new baby to the world as they later named her Monica. They lent money from friends just to mark the celebration of her birth. They loved and cherished the baby, Monica, with as much love that would last her a lifetime. Monica grew up with parental care, but because of the little money they made from work, they were not able to send her to school to acquire formal education. Three years later Monica's mother became pregnant with another child and later gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, who they named John . Monica was happy to have a brother who she would take care of as well as play with. They happily lived on until one unfortunate day when tragedy struck their household. On that fateful day, Monica’s parent left for the farm leaving Monica and her brother playing at home. Few minutes after their parent’s left for the farm, there came a heavy thunderstorm and rainfall that resulted to a flood that dragged John harshly along its current. Monica tried to save the life of her brother but couldn't. She cried and called for help but was too late for people to come to her brother’s rescue, since the flood was unexpected. Her parent’s on hearing what had happened, became sad and sober, but nevertheless ran off in search of him, they searched tirelessly but could not find him that day. Morning came, but was not a nice one for the once happy family

. Later on, a hunter passing by a nearby road found the dead body of John and brought him home out of kindness and respect for Monica’s household.
Her mother, on seeing the dead body of her son brought home, wept bitterly and refused to be consoled. John was later buried. Monica was well looked after and treated with so much care by her parents. They took her along where they were going out of anxiety over their son’s death.
Monica's mother later became pregnant four years after she lost her son. Her husband cherished her to an extent that he stopped her from working. Months later, she went into labor, she survived but lost her child while giving birth.

. She wept as she held her dead child while her husband consoled her. Weeks later they concluded that they would no longer procreate, but rather look after their first and surviving child Monica.
Monica was given almost all she desired for by her parents. They taught her all she needed to know about good morals. She grew up to be wise, humble as well been imbibed in with good character and fear of God.
For the fact that both of her parents were illiterate became their nightmare over their daughter's future. They debated on how they would be able to send their daughter Monica to school for her to be educated.
Her father always believed that education is the key to all success and for the fact that he was not educated which mostly caused his wretchedness thought and worried over his daughter’s future, ‘’she must be educated’’, he said. He called himself names. He queried himself for not achieving anything tangible in his life. Not even been able to afford the cost of sending his only child to school was something he felt he should be punished for.
While lamenting over his failure in life, he decided to hang himself to get rid of all the pains he felt. So, to the bush he went. While in the bush, he said ‘’I have failed myself and my daughter and will not be alive to see her suffer’’. He then committed suicide by hanging.
