After hours of No, not beautiful, go change and being dragged inside the changing room to change over a thousand and something dresses....Dee hoped this last dress would please her choosy mother....
Who was busy reading the fashion magazine at the waiting room...
"Wow, I am in love with this dress... The beaded off shoulder and how it holds my body.. I am in love...Hope mum will like it too...Am tired of trying all these dresses...I am even hungry...I bet my stomach is even growling...."Dee said to herself , turning around to have a good view of her ass....
"This dress make my ass a little bigger,i love it..." She beamed, shaking it....
"Mum, how about this???" Dee walked towards her mother unsure....
"It's perfect...." Someone whispered in her ear behind her..
"Nick!!!!" She screamed hugging him so tight that he could barely breath..
"Dee I can't breath.."
Dee let's him go laughing...
"You want to kill me before we get married...Do you wanna be a widow???..." Nick groaned rubbing his neck.
"There are like a million of men who will be ready to marry me..." Dee teased him looking at her mother....
"Mother, you see how she hurts my feelings." Nick stated.
"Mum, am I not pretty???"
"So if I die today you won't mourn me, you will just get married????"
"Yeah, the living can't marry the dead."
"And me, I will haunt you forever.You won't marry anyone apart from me..." Nick frowned and Dee kissed him cheering up.
"Enough you two, at least wait until you are one-year into marriage then you can start arguing day in day out." Margaret laughed placing her hands on their shoulders.
"So what are tomorrow's plans???" Margaret confirmed smiling, her eyes filled with curiosity..
"A surprise..." Nick replied.
"You can tell your mother in law???" Margaret pleaded.
"No, I want all of you to be surprised. So surprised..." Nick smiled.
"Okay, but I have to be there to see you two officially getting engaged... I am gonna be the happiest mother in the whole world.."
"Let's grab something to eat, I am starving..." Dee suggested and they all agreed.
The cast of star-crossed were busy taking photos at the red carpet talking to the paparazzis.
But all their attention shifted to the most beautiful lady in the event, Dee...
"Excuse us Dee where is Nick???"
"Are you two dating????"
"You two were spotted in France, is it true???"
The questions were making Dee dizzy..
She tried calling Nick, texting him but he neither picked up her calls nor replied..
"Dee, have you seen Nick???" A guy asked, his hand on her shoulder.
"No, and you are???" Dee asked perplexed of how he even had the nerve to touch her..
"I am Nelson, his best friend. I have been calling him, he ain't picking up. He should be here by now." Nelson sounded worried.
"You are scaring me, should we call the police???"
"No Dee, that's exaggerated. Maybe he is stuck on traffic." Nelson tried to calm her down, "He will be here soon"
"Dee, where is Nick????"
"Has he stood you up???"
"Were you his date???"
Nelson took her hand and walked her away from the paparazzis.
"I am sorry about that, they are stubborn and irritating at times. Not at times, all the time."
But Dee was busy staring at him, not listening to what he was saying.
"Do I have something on my face???"
"No, my late boyfriend was also called Nelson.He was a good man." Dee replied embarrassingly, smiling at the thought of him.
"I am sorry for...." They were interrupted by a phone buzz.
"Nick dumped me," Dee stammered, beads of water falling one after the other.
Dee collapsed in Nelson's arms.
