Bloody Fog - Episode 50

 

Esther and Dee were busy doing their nails in Esther's room.

"Dee, can I ask you something and don't get offended???" Esther stammered.
"Go on???" Esther flatly replied.

"I know I should not..."
"Esther go straight to the point, i won't get offended..." Dee had begun been impatient.

"Okay, don't get mad.

. I think you should go talk to Nick and find out why he dumped you . Maybe you did something and you don't remember." Esther advised Dee who was in deep thinking about the situation.

"I bet you are right. I should go there right now..." Dee retorted hugging Esther," I am glad I have my sister back."

"Are you not going to let the nail polish dry first???" Esther remarked.
"My baby first, nail polish later..." Dee scoffed, running out of Esther's room and went to get ready.

Esther let out an evil laugh.
"Keep your friends close and the enemies closer."
If Nick was to be hers, she had to know Nick's and Dee's every move. If she wanted her plans to succeed, she needed to know what she was dealing with and Dee's visit was the first step to formulate her plan.

Dee went looking for Nick at his mother's home and he wasn't there

. That meant he was at his apartment on the other side of  town. 

Nick was surprised to see Dee when he opened the door, he wanted to take her into his arms but his anger for her father couldn't allow it.

He wanted to burn all the bridges connecting him to her or else he wasn't gonna seek justice for his father.

"Hey Babe no Nick," Dee stammered playing with her fingers nervously," Can I come in???"

Nick pushed the door wider and signalled her to come in.
"What do you want Dee Kebata???" He thundered.
"I want us to talk, but why Nick?? Why did you dump me??? Did I wrong you???If that's the case forgive me..." Dee cried, cupping Nick's face.

"We just can't be together. It can't work between us..." Nick huffed.
"But you said you loved me and you would like to marry me????"
"That was then, now I don't want anything to do with you..." Nick threw her on the sofa...Dee sobbed into her hands and the tears dripped between her fingers...

"What did I do to deserve this??? Was I not enough??? I gave you my all, I was ready to leave my whole world behind for you..." A cruel sneer formed on her smooth face.
"How can I be with you when your father....." Nick exclaimed his anger and hatred getting the better off him.

"My father what Nick???" Dee enquired holding him by his collars.
"Your father will never accept me, he never will. And I can't marry a girl from a family into which am rejected..." Nick's tone was filled with anger dropping her hands off his collar and back to the sofa..

Dee stood up and walked towards him, making sure there was no inch between them and cupped his face," That's why we were to go live in Malaysia. Remember???" She tried to smile hiding her pain.

"And that was the worst mistake in my life," Nick whispered in a hoarse voice and walked away to his room.

After few minutes Dee followed him and sat beside him on the bed," Nick, I am sorry if I hurt you but you need to talk to me for us to solve this."
"You are suffocating me, just leave..."
Nick stood up but Dee held his arm," Nick for the love you had for me once, please talk to me..."

"Leave me alone, just go...it's over and I don't want you back...You are too nice and good for me..I need a go getter not a girl who depends on her father..."
Those words made Dee's heart shatter while she let Nick's hand go. Nick didn't bother to look  at her but just walked out.

Behind that door, Nick could hear heartbroken sobs. His heart was shattered, he wanted to run in there and hug her but it was like he was held with imaginary chains of hatred..

It was 8 o'clock  and Dee was still there. No sounds, no movements.
Was she dead??? Hell no, she had nine lives like a cat.

Nick turned away to the window, it was better to look at the stars than worry about Dee....
