Dee's hands were hanging low on the bed, no attempt to wipe her own tears.
"Dee talk to us, say something..." Margaret sobbed wiping Dee's tears.

There was no response for her other than intensification of the grief.

She poured warmth to him instead of throwing at her colours of love, he threw a sharp dagger of betrayal that added a new scar to the collection.

"Dad, should we take her to the hospital????" Timmy seemed worried checking her pulse rate.
"I think so too, I wonder what happened to her that a stranger had to bring her home. Love do you care to explain??? Gerald quizzed only to receive an eye roll for a reply. 

"I will explain it to you, She went to a party alone . Nick stood her up, it is said he dumped her. That's what you get for loving someone way out your league. She learnt the lesson the hard way," Esther explained laughing so hard.

"Esther that's it,  Can't you see she has suffered. How can you be so heartless???" Timmy barked lifting his hand almost slapping her," You asked why people don't give you time, with this behaviour and a cold black heart you are negativity, Who would want to be near you???."

"How is it my fault??? If she got dumped, she got dumped. I am just stating facts.." She replied, her arms crossed around her chest.

"Yes he dumped me, are you happy??? You are mad because you loved him and he chose me.

. Go celebrate, tell it to the press and blogs I don't care..." Dee thundered standing infront of Dee leaving everyone astonished.

"I will make him mine Dee, I swear." Esther brutally confessed and Dee gave her a hard slap," I am so unfortunate to have you as a sister. Get out!!!mGet out!!!" 
Dee yelled pushing her out of her room.
"What are you all waiting for???? Get out!!!" She ordered holding the door wide for them.

"My ba...." Dee cuts her mother off by raising her hand signalling her to shut up.

Nick's hangover was unbearable, pounding head, vomit taste in his mouth and the dehydrated feeling.

"Nelson, you are up early???" Nick said , scratching his head.
"It's two in the afternoon bro." 
"How is Dee???"
"Is that a question Nick??? devastated, worried, heartbroken after she read the message she fainted into my arms. On reaching her house, her family almost killed me, especially her dad."
Nelson explained, sadness in his tone.

"I am glad you sent me there but damn she is more beautiful in person and  kindhearted. I really like her, she is a good girl."

"Too bad, we can't be together. I really love her so much but I think the hate I have for her father over powered the love."

"Don't you think Dee is as innocent as you. The events happened 29 years ago and Dee was born three years later. So she also has no idea what happened, will you tell her???"

"Of course not, she would die to know her father is a murderer..." Nick retorted pouring himself some whisky.
"No more whisky, have some ugali and nyama. You need your strength to face the press and read the harsh blogs.." Nelson took the glass from him.

"I hope Dee is okay. How is she handling the situation???"
"How would I know Nick when I am here with you????"
"You are right, should I call her???"
"Dude, you just broke her heart give her some space." Nelson placed his hand on his shoulder, pressing it lightly.

I miss her thou," Nick wiped the tear that wanted to fall.
"I know, but at first you were to use her as a bait so it's only fair she moves on after all she has been through. No offence, I like you bro but Dee deserves better, a man who will always put her first." Nelson retorted, sipping  Nick's whisky.

"Bitter truth my friend..." Nick stammered walking away.
Grief seemed to consume him entirely, it was like an ocean. It came in waves, engulfed and overwhelmed.

There was a knock at the door and when Nick opened the door he received the shock of his life.
He almost had a stroke, cardiac arrest...name them all.

It was Esther!!!!!!
