Bloody Fog - Episode 51

 

Nick was so lost in thoughts that he hadn't realised it was midnight and Dee hadn't left the room yet.

What was she planning??? She must be hungry. I will take her some biscuits and warm milk.
He thought.

"Have something to eat, I don't want you to die on me. My house isn't going to be a murder scene." Nick retorted placing a tray on the bed side.

"I am not hungry."
"Whatever." Nick ignored her and walked out..
He didn't wanna check up on her but it seemed he was stuck at the door with the hope she would call out his name but she didn't.

Suddenly the lights were off so Nick guessed she went to sleep . He quietly opened the door and tiptoed to where she was lying half covered.
He covered her and without second thoughts, he pressed his lips on her forehead.

Dee smiled but couldn't move. She didn't wanna ruin the moment. Nick having the temptation to sleep beside her grabbed his pyjamas, shawl and ran out of there. Before his heart did something foolish.

He regretted hurting her but he couldn't control the anger lingered regardless.

Nick was deep asleep on the sofa when Dee silently bumped into Nelson,"Hey Dee???"

"Nelson, you here..."
"Where are you going so early in the morning???"
"I am not needed here Nelson, let me go home. Please give him this note.." Sadness featuring on her face..

"Okay, but let me drive you."
"No, I came with my own car..."
"Okay, take care...." Nelson hugged her and led her out.

. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Why do bad things happen to good people????

Dee had a long drive, listening to sad songs. She had cried so much that she was sure she was dehydrated.
She walked into her family having breakfast and her father forced her into sitting down and joining them.

"Dad, I am not hungry."
"Have you been crying???" Margaret asked noticing her red tomato swollen eyes..
"Nothing mother..."
"Dear, we don't want to lose you again.. For the past one year, your mother cried every single night. The family was shattered, we didn't know if you would survive it." Gerald explained, clenching his fists not to cry.

"Dad, mum and my lovely siblings, That time I was weak. I had been raped and the love of my life had been killed. I had sacrificed my happiness for the sake of my brother and father...I didn't know how to handle it but now I am okay..

. For me family always comes first. Thank you for your concern and I love you all.." She wiped the tears off her face, "I will go now before I am late for my painting classes."

Esther went after her and Gerald was worried," Go after them before they kill each other."
"They made up," Timmy replied on behalf of the unbothered priest and mother.
"Okay." Gerald replied seemingly not surprised.

"Dee, how was it????" Esther asked curiously.
"He doesn't want anything to do with me," Dee replied reaching for her towel.
"I am sorry about that dear, he ain't worth it. We will find guys who deserve us.."Esther consoled her, her heart jumping up and down with happiness. Nick was finally gonna be hers.

"Thank you, I need to shower..." Dee retorted heading to the bathroom.

On coming out of the bathroom, she found her mother in her closet searching for something.
"Mum, what are you looking for???"
"I am helping you get dressed like I used to do everytime you needed to go somewhere." 
"Okay..."
"My girl are you okay???"
"Mum, it's finally over.. I talked to Nick and he wants nothing to do with me. I am not gonna let this ruin me but make me stronger..." Dee lamented, avoiding her mother's gaze for her not to notice the tears that were threatening to fall..

"I know it hurts you my girl, but that's the spirit. I am here for you. And  I am driving you to your painting classes no buts.." Margaret hugged her and Dee couldn't help sob on her shoulders...
"And be careful of your sister, a girl in love is very dangerous. I know you want you two to get along but a girl in love neither forgets nor forgives easily..." Margaret warned her.
"But she is...."
"It's okay, I don't mean to come between you two just take care..."

Esther was busy dancing and drinking in her room.. she couldn't believe that luck was finally on her side. It was time for the second phase of her plan.
