Eve's POV
"Is this a sick joke????" I laughed so hard that my ribs ached.

"It's not...." Nick replied with a straight face.

"You thought I am a fool and that I would fall for it. Go to hell Nicholas...."I spat out with so much fury.

"Can you....."
"Is that what mistresses are called nowadays???Little sisters...." I chuckled, shaking my head in disgust.

"Can you just shut up for a second and listen????" He snapped and instinctively knowing how bad his temper can be, I tucked my lips in.

"Stay there and don't move, I will be back...."

He freed my hands and walked out of our room leaving me laughing at the silly joke. Who would even fall for that lie????

After some few minutes, he came back but with a girl behind him.

"Hello Eve, I am the girl who called yesterday..."

What the hell!!!!!She was wearing one of my favorite pyjamas and staying in my house . Great!!!!Just great!!!!

" Why are you wearing my spongebob pyjamas????" I thundered, staggering from the bed.

I was losing it. I hate people wearing my clothes without me giving them.

"Eve have you taken your medicine????" Nick asked in a concerned tone.

"Don't try to distract me from what's happening here!!!!" I warned him,walking closer and closer to the so called sister.

"Before I do something stupid, I want you the hell out of my house!!!!!"

. I am his sister...."She stuttered.

"Do you have proof????"

"Yes. Our mother died immediately she gave birth to me and my dad didn't see it necessary to tell granny and Nicholas...."She explained.

"But I thought both the baby and the mother died Nicholas...." I sent a deadly glare at Nicholas.

"I thought so too until she found me two months ago and everything about her makes sense plus I had a private investigator confirm her story...." Nick tried to hold my hand but I drew it back.

"I guess it's welcome home then...." I faked a smile.

I didn't know what to believe anymore. I just wanted to forget about the call and all events of tonight.

I tried to push Nick aside on my way to the bathroom but he only staggered back.

"Fuck!!!!!" I yelled,slamming the door.

"What did I do???" I cried out, sliding down to the floor...
"I fucked up..."
" I messed things up...." I held my head down....

"Eve open up!!!!!" Nick knocked on the door angrily.
"Go away!! I don't wanna talk to anybody...." I pulled my knees to my chest.

I can't do it....I failed. 
Deep breaths Eve!! You can do this!!!!

It's not your fault. You were drunk...

"Don't do anything stupid Eve...." He warned.
"It's my life Nicholas. Just go away and leave me alone!!!!" I roared...

"Physical pain is better than emotional pain...." I began convincing myself as the thoughts began overpowering me.

"Just one cut Eve!!!!Just one cut!!!"My monster whispered as I stood from the icy floor.

I walked to the cabinet and began throwing things on the floor looking for my box of razors...

"Where is it?????" I shouted growing impatient.

"Eve if you don't open this door,I am gonna break it!!!!"Nick thundered.

I am sorry Nicholas Kame...

"Here you are..."I said excitedly finding a box of razors beneath the towels.

"Physical pain is better than emotional pain...." I sighed deeply and took one razor from the box.

"Do it honey!!!Don't let anything stop you. You failed as a wife and you deserve a punishment!!!" The monster inside my head stated.

"Will he ever forgive me???"

"You kissed Mason. Do you think he will forgive you when he finds out????He will leave like they always do...." He chuckled.

"I don't want him to leave.I will punish myself but please tell him not to leave..." 

I shook the thought of him leaving me behind my head and focused on my purpose. To punish myself for kissing Mason. I had betrayed Nicholas and for that I needed to feel pain...

Just when I placed it on my wrist, the door slammed open making me flinch that I dropped it.

"What the hell Eve????"Nick scolded me.

"I messed up!!!!!" I sobbed on his chest, my hands holding tightly onto his shirt.

"You promised you will no longer do this......" 

"Don't leave me.." I sobbed.

"Why do you say that???...."

"They all do....." I pulled back from his chest and took few steps back.

"You are here because you pity me......" I couldn't control the chaotic thoughts that drained the strength in me.

I hated the feeling of guilt, shame and unworthiness.

"I messed up so bad!!!" I bit my lips anxiously...

"No, I am here because I love you more than anything Eve...."

"You are lying!!!!"I shook my head in disagreement.

"I would have left years ago when I found out about your mental condition but I didn't because I love you...." He took small steps towards me...

"But I have hurt you so bad,"I said between sobs,"And I don't want you leaving me too..."

"I swear I didn't mean to.

"Eve, where is your medicine???"

"I am worthless. I can't cook, I can't give you a baby, I can't be a normal wife...I just suck and I know one day you will admit to me I am a burden and leave...."

"Never!!!!!!" He wrapped his arms around me and held me close.

"I am so sorry, I am not good enough..."

"let's go to bed,it has been a crazy night....."

"I don't want to let go...."I squeezed him a little bit tighter feeling the tension in my body easing up. 
"Yesterday you promised no more getting angry and paranoid....."He reminded me the incident that followed after the stupid phone call.

****The previous day****
After I slammed the door to the guest room, I began throwing everything on the floor in rage.

The flower vase, the pillows,cushions, comforter and practically everything throwable in the room.

I wanted to feed the blood sucking rage inside but nothing seemed to work.

I wish I had taken my meds and maybe I would have handled the situation better...

I actually did lie to my friends. Nick followed me to the guest room and hugged me close from behind.

He understood my mental stability was way below average and that without him there I would lose it...

"You told me you understood...." I raged.

"Eve have you taken your medicine?????"

"I am not crazy....You said I made you happy then why is she calling you!!!!" 

My soul was desperate to release an element of rage on the whole world....

"You are worthless Eve... You are not a good wife...." The monster he was back.

"Stop!!!!"

"I am a good wife!!! I love him!!!!" I yelled.

"Then why is he cheating on you????" 

"He loves me...Go away!!!!!Nick loves me....." I shook my head vigorously to get him out.

I needed him to stop!!!!

"Who are you talking to love?????" Nick asked in a worrying tone.

"Stay away from me!!!!"I ordered...

Nicholas turned me around to face him and held me close to his chest.
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me...."

"And her????Is she my replacement????" I pushed him back but he only stumbled..

"Of course not. I would never replace you....."

"He is lying Eve,"The monster laughed sarcastically,"You are not good enough for him. He feels pity...."

"Go away!!!!!" I shouted.

"I promise, I am not cheating on you!!!!"

"You are lying!!!I am not a fool...I heard what she said and she even knows my name!!!Is this what you do when am not around!!!"

"No my love....I am loyal to you. I rather sell my soul to the devil that betray you!!!" He wrapped me into his arms. At first I was stiff but loosen up after a while and hugged him back..
"I love you so much Eve and cheating on you has never crossed my mind..."

"Then who is she????"
"Just a friend in dire of need...why don't we go back to sleep???I am so tired!!!"He yawned...

"Is the reason, you wouldn't make love to me???"

"C'mon!!!!" He sounded bored,"You know that I never have sex with you if you haven't eaten or had your medicine. That's the rule!!!"

"Fine!!!Whatever!!!Its not a necessity..." I pulled back and walked out of the guest room...

****Present moment****
"On second thoughts I have an idea...." Nick flashed me a naughty glint and immediately I understood what he was proposing. 

"I haven't eaten!!!" 

"Today I will compromise....." He placed both hands on my waist and lifted me up to sit on the bathroom sink.

"I have missed you and I want you to feel good and wanted tonight. I want you to know that no woman can make me happy like you do....."

I could feel his words sending wild tremors along my nerves...

"I love you Eve Raine Minni Kame..." He slammed his face on mine and kissed me hard, messy and passionately...

My body was on fire with passion and urge that I forgot how fucked up my life was for a moment.

I can't live without Nick. He makes my life better.
