Twisted Twice, Twisted Mine - Episode 42

 

2 week later.

Adee.

"So, let me get this straight... You don't know what a kiss is?" The girl, Pamela, my sister's best friend asks me and I nod.

Although it kills me to, she's laughing at me, they both are, what's the big deal if they are both in a relationship, with best friends for that matter?

I've found my sister, although in reality she found me, it's been 2 weeks of the longest period of my life and I'm glad the result is positive.

"How are you this naive?" Pamela asks and I throw a popcorn at her,i don't know why my sister hangs out with her.

We are in Levi's house and let me tell you I'm glad that my sister got him, his house is nothing compared to Vance's Condo, it's too big and too big.

Why am I thinking about Vance? Our relationship is over, there's nothing to think about. 

" Hey, leave my sister alone there's nothing wrong with being naive"

Addie says and although I appreciate the loyalty and support, I know she's lying.

"It's okay, she's right"

"Adee..."

"He kissed me and I ran out, I'm a wuss"

"He kissed you?" Adeline asks and I recognize my mistake.

"You didn't tell me he kissed you, is that why he's been driving over to the house almost every day?"

"He's been coming to the house?" This is news, why didn't I know? Oh, probably because I've been in my head with myself, alone with my sister.

"Yeah, I kind of make excuses because I thought he was your boyfriend and you guys are having a fight"

"He's not my boyfriend"

"Are we talking about that hot guy with the nose ring and stuff? The one we went to for your address and stuff?" 

Pamela asks and we nod simultaneously. 

"Wow, if I didn't have Aaron I would have  snagged him myself" Pamela says and I sigh, I'm sure he would have loved that, he must hate me by now, I'm sure me avoiding his calls and texts didn't help matters. 

My phone dings and I reach for it, I swipe the screen and it's another text from Vance. 

"Is he the one?" Addie asks. 

I nod. 

"Are you going read it?" 

I shake my head. 

"Why?" 

"I'm kind of scared" 

"It's normal and also it's just a text, read it, it's up to you if you are going to answer or not" 

"Yeah?" 

"Fingers crossed" She says in support and I double tap my screen to read the text. 

'Cat, reply this text else I'm going to storm your house, it's up to you' I read out loud and I watch as Addie slowly turns to look at Pamela. 

"So. Hot!...." They both squeal. 

"What do I say!" I lament. 

"Say hi" Pamela says and I type, no questions. 

Immediately my phone rings. 

I pick. 

"You done avoiding me?" He asks immediately and I notice his accent is prominent. 

"You are angry" 

"Obviously Adélie" 

"Why?" 

"Why?" he asks. 

"Yes" 

"I missed you, that's why" he say and my stomach does the turn it always does. 

"Oh" 

"Won't you like me now? Uh?Cat." 

"I like you" I find my self saying and i see Addie bulge her eyes out at Pamela and they both press their ears  to the phone. 

"Good, I'm coming to get you, where are you?" 

"You are coming to get me?" 

"Keep up cat, send me your address if you are not at home" 

"Okay" I say with a small voice before disconnecting.

We are standing by the movie theater waiting for Levi, Aaron and Vance. 

They went to get popcorn. 

When Vance arrived at the house, Levi and Aaron wouldn't let me go so they decided to tag along, make it a thriple date. 

I'm totally enjoying myself. 

I turn to Addie to ask what I have to do if Vance eventually kisses me later when I see her looking in the direction of an alley with a scared look. 

"Addie, what's wrong?" I ask, immediately stepping forward to place my body in front of hers.

. It's... Jerry and James" I remember them, she told me about them, I push her behind me.. 

"Stay, don't make any sudden movement" 

Pamela looks around for the guys and they are no where to be seen. 

The bigger looking guy, James, catches my face and he turns to me. 

He must think I am my sister, it doesn't matter, he's not getting her, he has to go through me. 

It's pretty late, the theater is empty, we are the only ones around, so we won't be getting any help from anybody. 

I look around for the guys again when they begin to walk towards us and I feel fear saturate my being. 

When they get about 5ft to us the guys materialize from the woodwork. 

"Hold it" Levi says and the bad man turn to him simultaneously. 

"Who are you? She has to come with me, we have some unfinished business" 

The one whom I presume to be James says and I take a step back. 

"Yeah? Why don't you tell that to the cops,uh?"Aaron says and immediately I see guys with guns appear, blocking James and Jerry from us. 

" What's going on? "Jerry asks in a high voice and I feel Addie step away from the cover of my back. 

James looks surprised when he see that there are two of us. 

The cops haul them away and I can finally breathe. 

" You know that's not gonna keep them for long right? "Vance asks the guys and they nod.

" Atleast until I figure out what to do with them " Levi says and my confusion grows. 

" How?..... "

" We noticed them tailing us while we were coming, they must have gotten your location Addie "Aaron says and Addie shudders, I pull her to me. 

" It's okay "I say softly, she relaxes. 

" We knew they wouldn't do anything with us around so we left you girls alone to draw them out, they fell for it, conveniently for us the cops where waiting. 

Levi says and Addie sags besides me in relief. 

"Does that mean I don't have to be scared anymore?" Addie asks and Levi nods, pulling her in. 

Vance pulls me gently by my hair and I go, he wraps his arms around me and I feel safe. 

I know, it's gonna be a while before we heal, it's gonna be a while before we forget but for now we have ourselves, we are together and that's all that matters.
