Adeline.

I stumble up the path towards Levi's house. I fall and a rock cuts into my palm, my knees scrape deeply, blood flows.

A sob rips from my throat, those people..those people took me from my family, they took me from my sister, from my papa and mama.

I run fast, so fast, I have to leave these memories behind, I don't want them, I've been leaving fine up until now.

My Sweet Adélie.

I bang open the door and step in, I need my Levi, I need him.

I step into the sitting room and he's there sitting on the couch, I see a vase broken at his feet but I don't ask, I need his strength now.

I throw myself at him and curl up, breathing in deep to calm myself.

I feel his arms go around me and pull me off his chest.

Something's wrong, he didn't hold me or kiss my head.

I raise my head, my eyes meeting Aaron's and his are dead.

I turn to Levi, I see envelopes scattered around him and I immediately realize my mistake, it dawns on me.

"Levi..." He lifts his hands and I shut up.

"I just have one question..

. Who in the flying f*ck are you?"

I flinch at his cold tune and I fall to my knees, blood flows from my palm, dripping to the ground as I clasp them together.

His eyes goes to my wounds, immediately shifting to worry.

"You were going to leave me" He says with a growl, stalking to me and I fall to my butt, my palm leaving blood stains on the tile.

"I..."

"Adeline!, you were going to f*cking leave me!, me!, you fucking promised me, you bloody told me I was yours and you were mine! We were naked on our bed woman! You said it in plain words..

" Levi.. "

" Was I.. No.. Am I a joke to you? Did you make me fall hard for you for sh*ts and giggles? "He rumbles and I whimper, curling into myself.

" Levi.. You are scaring her "Aaron says pulling him back and Levi visibly takes a breath to calm before turning to me and bending down.

" You fool woman, don't you know you can never leave me? I'm yours, you are mine"He says softly, pulling me gently to him.

"Now, you wanna tell me why you look like you've seen a ghost?" I stare into his face before I burst out into sobs..

"You... You were scary...." 

"My pretty baby, I'm sorry for scaring you" He says and I nod, he picks me up and I curl into him.

"Be useful, get me the first aid kit" He say to Aaron who rolls his eyes.

He leads me to our room, walking straight to the bathroom and setting me on the toilet seat.

Aaron hands him the kit and he kneels in front of me, gently wiping my palm with a wet towel and applying peroxide.

I rest my head on his shoulder and he kisses my shoulder, my eyes fall close. I'm so tired.

He gets done with both of my knees before he lifts my head and I open my eyes.

"What's wrong baby?"

"I met my sister" I say softly and Aaron stands straight from leaning on the wall.

"Is this a bad thing?" Levi asks looking from me to Aaron.

"I grew up in a foster home" I say and his eyes flares. It's a reminder to me that I lied to him.

"Tell me everything from the beginning baby" He says.

Levi.

"You handled yourself pretty well, I'm proud" Aaron says what feels like eons later and I nod.

"I had suspected that she was keeping something from me" I said, sucking back my cognac, it's a day for alcohol.

"Obviously you've decided to keep her" He says.

"Obviously"

"What are you going to do about Avery Mavery?"

"I don't know"

"Are you going to introduce her to Avery?"

"I don't know"

"What exactly do you know?"

"I don't know"

He sighs and I gulp down more of my drink.

He drinks too and we stay quiet for a while.

"I'm sorry I hid important stuff from you" He says.

"It's cool man"

"You sure?"

"Hell no man" I say and he chuckles, hitting my shoulder.

"What do we do about the restaurant owner, James?" He asks and I clench my fist.

That fucktard threatened mine. He's dead.

"I'm going to make him wish he never set eyes on her" I say and he nods, taking the last gulp of his drink.

"Good night man" He says, patting my back and walking upstairs.

I sit there for a while, listening to the sound of the house.

It's a long time before I go upstairs to my woman and when I do, I get into bed with her knowing that she is going nowhere.
