Mark drove home silently.
His one thought was to go back to his house and have a nice sleep.
The excitement is too much for him in one day.
He felt as if a big load was lifted off his shoulders.
The detective had searched Odili's office and recovered a number of hard drives, flash drives and lots of memory cards in which Mark's video was seen in one of them.
There are about other 20 home made blackmailing videos of various politicians in the hard drives and memory cards.
Mark heaved a sigh of relief as he watched the detective destroyed the gadgets.
He knew they have liberated so many people from the claws of these heartless fraudsters.
The policemen who arrived shortly before the shootings started had surrounded the complex and had arrested the entire crew workers in the studio when they wanted to escape.
Mark saw Ndidi among the suspects with handcuffs on her wrists.
She merely glanced at him, smiled and entered the police van.
Mark equally smiled back and bade her goodbye.
One of the two thugs they encountered on the road with a power bike was badly wounded.
They left him in a hospital under the care of another detective and phoned the nearest police station to come and take the dead one to the morgue before going back to the Studio complex for the final arrest.
His next activity now is how to face his wife.
He tried her number and noticed it's ringing.
"Hello"
He heard Amaka said in a drawn voice.
"What happened? I have been trying to reach you since morning . Where are you?"
Mark asked.
"I am at home

Amaka said and Mark smiled.
She is ready for trouble.
He could sense the antagonism in her voice.
Well, lets face it once and for all.
But he need to tread carefully.
Amaka is still the daughter of Chief Okpara, the richest man in this country.
She can draw a lot of water and make troubles if she feels like it.
"I am on my way home now. Is there anything I can get for dinner?"
He heard Amaka laughed.
"When did you became this caring? You wanna soften me up so I won't have the heart to retaliate?"
Amaka asked.
Mark sighed and cut the call.
He should better get home fast and find a way to destroy the remaining evidence of his awful adventure.
Then there is Ruby.
He will find a way to compensate her.
Maybe give her enough money to start a business.
He sworn within himself never to play such filthy games again.
It will only land him into serious trouble.
He stopped at a nearby fast food and bought pizzas for his wife and daughter.
Chidimma love pizza a lot.
What ever the case may be, he must face his family and end this saga once and for all.
He rode home in a better state of mind, knowing what awaits him in his house.

Mark is lucky he got rid of those blackmailers. He better turn over a new leaf oo (although I doubt he will) Can't wait to find out what Stella will do. I'm really enjoing this story
