Chief Gavin said. "you are right dad"

Felix nodded trying to fix his mind compass to his father's speech direction although he hadn't figured it out yet.

"and i am really happy and impressed on the intimacy and closeness between you and Martina"

the old man winked in a funny way. If Felix had the same mind set with him, he would have smiled but as the case may be, he face grew tall as he queried him.

"i don't get you Dad . What do you mean by that?"

"you see, Edmund is my friend and my business Partner. To stop beating about the bush. If you marry his daugther immediately after your graduation, we won't stand a risk in looseing the whole business to them since You have refused to join my business. So i am suggesting you starts dating her now and make your relationship with her Official"

Gbam! Gbam!! Gbam!!! His words sounded like a war bell to his ears. This was obviously what he had never bargained for.

"Dad. You are not serious about what you said right?"

he asked as he gathered his scartered thoughts together.

Felix exclaimed with mean expression and it caused the smile on chief Gavin's lips to fade away instantly.

"What do you mean by you can't?"

his father queried abruptly

"i just can't'

chief gavin inquired.

"i definitely cant ask her to date me because My heart belongs to some one else. I can't just abandon the girl i love with my whole heart to suit your business request."

Felix bawled. Chief Gavin was speechless for a moment. He thought that was what he had wanted so therefore he felt the urge and need to give him more reasons why he should hurry things up but he was obviously disappointed

"why do you like disappointing me?"

he asked when he had finally located his voice.

"its not like i am disappointing or disrespecting you Dad. You should know its my life we are talking about here"

Felix replied promptly not wanting to sound rude.

"okay. Do good to bring the lady you claimed you love with your whole heart home so i will know who she really is to have bewitched you and stolen your heart away from your future wife''.

"okay if that's what you want. But she never bewitched me."

Felix harmonized. Finally, he had a chance to Go to his room and practice the wright words use while applying for Mercy's heart like some preparing for an interview. The next day, he wore his cute tuxedo with his shining shoe. After being satisfied with his looks at the mirror, he took the resplendent Rose flower he had purchased over the day and headed straight down the stairs. The moment he steped outside the building. He saw martina walking up to him. His face grew tall immediately at the sight of her.

"wow. You looked so gorgeous. Its obvious you are prepared for a date with the beautiful flowers on your hand."

Martina hollered the moment she got close to him.

"hi, How're you?"

he asked looking nervous.

"i am good. I was actually hoping we catch a drink tonight since its been a week we havent gone out together. Seems you are already prepared so lets go."

she beamed.

"Em Tina, sorry to disappoint you. You know we never scheduled or planed any thing outing tonight and i am actually on my way to some where else. So the Date or the drinks can wait till next time."

Felix trailed off in anxiety. "where exactly are you going" martina inquired.

"to see someone , see you later"

Felix said. He took her right hand and kissed it softly then left to his car. Martina was left with heart break. Starting from the time they were too young, she has a gigantic feeling of affection for him. And that had kept her for dating any guy in Germany. She stood and watched sadly as his car accelerated out of the compound. That moment , she felt her heart cracking beat by beat and finally , it broke in to pieces.

"am i not beautiful enough for him?"

she pondered in her mind.

. - - - 10 minutes of driving, Felix took a glance at the mirror and saw a Black Mercedes behind him. He fucosed on the road again. He can't wait to tell Mercy all he had spent the whole night learning. Two minutes later, his eyes drifted to the mirror again. The black Mercedes was still following. He shifted his attention to the road again.

"How is she going to react when i tells her that i love her?"

he queried his mind which was laughing at him. He drifted to another road , the black Mercedes was still following. He then began to wonder if the driver of that car was following him.
