Michelle:

"You didn't have to follow me all the way here, you know?" I say for the hundredth time to Rory. He just takes my suitcase from me and pulls it towards the exit of the airport. I stop just short of the door. I'm nervous as hell.
"Why are you stopping? You have a long trip to his house from here." Rory says.
"Should I do this? Am I like a stalking now or something? William would be mad at me for sure. Damn, let's just go back."
"Hey, slow down . I'm so not enduring that long flight back right now. I need to sleep." Rory says.
"But--"
"I get this. You are scared. But you already took the bold step to come all the way to the hot country. At least take a chance on this." He says and offer me his hand. Gratitude fills me at how he's by me even after I chose William.
"Thank you Rory." I say sincerely.
"I'm here to please. Feel free to dump the daddy and choose me at any time." He jokes and I chuckle.
"Do you think his daughter would like me?" I frown again.
"I need food in my system to deal with this nervous woman." Rory says to the heavens and I laugh.
"I'm being serious!"
"Let's go. The sun is going to melt me very soon."
"What a baby." I tease.
"Your baby." He grins and I shake my head.
"William's baby." I blush.
"That's if he takes you back." Rory burst into a feat of laughter at my expense.
"Rory! " I punch his arm.
"Ouch! Don't worry I'll accept you back if you beg well." He jokes.
"I'm not dealing with you and this ball of nervousness in my stomach

. Let's go."
"Thank goodness." Rory mutters as I finally take the step to join him outside the airport.
"It's beautiful in a sort of dirty way." Rory points out at the city as we pull out of the airport in the hired car. I roll my eyes and stare out the window. My thoughts keeping me silent while Rory drives into the city with the help of the GPS.
"He should be happy to have someone as special as you are, following him all the way to his country. Or he's a fool. I can beat him up for you if you want." Rory says to fill the silence. He knows just what to say to me. I cover his hand on the steering wheel with mine and squeeze it affectionately. His eyes leave the road for a few seconds to smile at me.
"You got this." He assures me.
"I've got this!" I repeat.
"Good. Now sleep. We'll be there in let's say an hour. You need your beauty sleep so you'll be looking too good to resist later. He might just up and run with the bags under your eyes right now."
"Rory!" I slap his shoulder. Way to ruin the moment. He can't just be cool for more two minutes.
"Just kidding. But you need to sleep. I'll wake you once we get there."
"I'm not sleepy." I protest but my traitorous yawn betrays me just at the wrong moment. Rory raises his brows at me.
"Fine." I relax into the chair and let the fresh air cool my face.

William:

"Mom!" I startle a little as I walk into the sitting room to find her there.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work now? I told you I'll pick Aurora up from school. I was just about to get ready." I walk on to the small fridge and grab a can of water.
"I wanted to give you this." I turn around to face her. She's smiling ear to ear as she hand me a fancy bag. What's inside?
"Look inside." She bounce on her feet. I'm curious. I open the bag and my brows wrinkle.
"A suit?"
"Go try it on."
"What? I'm supposed to pick Aurora up from school." I point out.
"Just do as I say." She push me out of the kitchen.
"I--"
"Go. You're going to be late!" for what, really?
"Aurora's going to be waiting for me!" I call as I walk on to the room to put the suit on. Is there a wedding?
"I already sent my colleague to pick her up." I hear mom yell from the sitting room. Why would she do that? I walk on to the mirror in my room as I take my clothes off and put the suit on. It fits perfectly. I brush the side down self consciously. When was the last time I wore a suit?
"Have you put it on? You are taking so much time like a wo-- wow!"
"Mom!" I exclaim as she walks right into my room without knocking.
"What's getting you all red?" She laughs as she look at me up to down.
"I could have been naked." I protest.
"I've seen everything there is to see there."
"Jesus! My ears!" I clamp both hands over my ears.
"You look amazing son." My hands drop at the emotions in her voice.
"Are you crying?" I ask. She shake her head but wrap her hands around my waist.
"I've waited too long for this day." She sniffs into my suit jacket.
"Mom. What's this day?" She pulls away from me and wipe her nose noisily.
"Oh I almost wrinkled your suit." She says instead and fuss all over me.
"Mom. Do I get to know what the suit is for and why I can't pick my daughter up from school?"
"Here. Go to this address. Everything will become clear there." She hands me a paper.
"A diner? I'm wearing a suit to go to a diner? What are you up to mother?"
"You'll see. And you are going to love this. This is why you went to the states anyways. I'm giving it to you now."
"You are not going to explain any further, are you?" She shakes her head and I sigh. Stubborn woman.
"Fine. I'll go. But I'm out of there if this is a scheme I don't like." I say
"Oh you'll like this scheme." She grins. I narrow my eyes at her. She shrugs before her face lights up.
"Oh one final touch. Ta da!" She produce a pink tie and pulls it around my neck.
"Your daughter picked this one up for you." She says as she knot the tie. I let her do her thing.
"I used to do this for your father." She sniffs. It's so out of the blue, I freeze. She's never talked about him ever since she cleaned her act and stopped drinking. I prefer she doesn't.
"Don't talk about him to me."
"Don't say that. You shouldn't resent him too much.

. Blame your mother for being too weak to fight. I should have protected the both of you." She bow her head in defeat.
"No. He should have protected the both of us. He's not worth your tears. Not anymore." I brush off the stray tears from her eyes.
"I brought the demon into our lives though." She turn her back to me.
"What are you talking about?" I turn her to face me. She pat my cheeks with both hands.
"Look at me!!" She says as she wipe the corners of her eyes and smile a watery smile.
"It's a happy day. I shouldn't ruin it. Go before you get late." She brush my suit down one final time.
"But--"
"I'll explain everything after your meeting." She says before pushing me out my room.
"Call me once my baby gets home." I call back to her as I walk out the living room door. I don't hear her reply because I'm nothing short of flabbergasted and perplexed by the person standing on my front yard.
"Michelle." I gasp.

So guys, what could the suit possibly be for? Any ideas?
And please comment. I feel like I'm not doing well with you guys' response. Sighs
