S.I.R.E.N (The Journey of Love) - Episode 13

 

"How is your son doing?" Siren asked Juliet. She had resume once again and had brought Siren a cup of coffee.

"He is getting better since the day he heard he would see again. We are going to see the Ophthalmologist doctor tomorrow ma'am for the final checkup before surgery".

"Well that is good". Siren said, she smiled.

"Ma'am, why can't I tell my son the person who is helping him restore his sight is you, my boss?"

"Nothing really Juliet . I just prefer it that way and like I told you before, do not tell him".

"I know ma'am. Once again, thank you". Juliet thanked Siren who waved it off.

As soon as Juliet walked out of the office, Siren phone rang. She glanced at the caller and smiled to herself once she saw Davies name. 

"Hello Dav, what's popping?" Siren asked cheerfully

"Nothing just bored. Are you busy like right now?" Davies asked all serious.

"As a matter of fact, no. I am kinda less busy now. I hope there is no problem".

"No problem Siren. Get ready, I am coming to your office to come and pick you up, we are going out for lunch". Davis said elated.

"Okay, I will be waiting"

. Siren said and hung up the call. Her thoughts were filled with that of Daniel.

"So what is your answer to what I just asked you?" Joel asked Sirene.

"Yes, besides I am famished here".

"I know of a place that they sell good food (whispers lowly) even our kind food".

Old Paa was in deep thought. Once again he was at the sea shore staring at the ocean.

When should he tell Siren her heritage, about the lady who had brought Siren to him? Old Paa thought.

What does the shell means to Siren?. He had hidden the shell away from any prying eyes. He had even forgotten where he hid it at the first place. He has to find the shell and give it to Siren, tell her how the shell came to be in his possession. Siren has to know her birth mother was someone who had walked out from the deep ocean.

But his greatest mistake that day was when he didn't ask the name of the strange lady who had brought Siren to him that night.

"I have this feeling that something tragedy would happen if Jencita returns". Luciana said still not satisfy. They were in her hidden chamber.

"You worry too much Luciana over nothing. Jencita would bring Lucy's daughter to us".

Regaining her confidence back Luciana turned to face the white statue in her chamber.

"The child you have hid for so long would soon be here. Imagine all your hard work protecting your child is in vain".

"Salvador, it has been years since you last saw Lucy, get over it and moved on with your life. Accept the truth Salvador, Lucy is gone forever, from our lives". Jessica told her older brother.

She had never set eyes on Lucy before, She had been out of the state when her brother met Lucy.

She had only seen her once in picture. When she heard of her sudden disappearance, she had to come back to look after her brother and search for Lucy. But after so many years, their search seems to lead nowhere. It seems she simply don't exist.

"I have told you times without number that I would wait for my Lucy to come. Neither you, dad or mum can change my heart". Salvador reply his sister

"As soon as Joel and Sirene enters the  eatery, they sat down. A waiter came to them, pen down their orders and left to get it for them.

Soon he brought what they requested to them. Sirene dug in quickly. Nothing minding they were outside.

"I told you that this place has the nicest sea food around here. (Moved closer to Sirene) I hope you are enjoying it?" Joel said.

"Nice food".

. Sirene smiled up at him. Joel was happy when Sirene smiled at him. Even with the Wounds and scars on her face, Sirene looked absolutely Beautiful. He vowed within himself to always make Sirene smiled always. Staring at Sirene.

He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice the presence of his friend it wasn't until they hit him in his shoulder blade. 

Joel turned and was surprised to see him. He stood up and hug the guy.

"It has been  long we saw each other, right Joel".

"Yeah. How is your father?" Joel asked his friend.

"The Old man is better".

"I can see you still love this place". Joel said.

"Yeah, (Points at the lady standing beside him) she likes it more than me.

"And you too, what a small world". Joel said as he hug her too.

"I see that you both has come to eat here as we usually do in the past. Let me introduce you to my new friend. Sirene, this are my two best friends Siren and Davis".

Turns to look at Sirene only to see a look of shock and surprise in Sirene's face as she stares at his friends.
