Chapter 15

Previously on Siren

"Yeah, I was the Mask guitarist that played for Mr Davies on his birthday, do you remember?".

"The mask guy? Oh, I remember now".

"Yeah that's me". Daniel said with a smile on his face as he answered Siren.

"Wow, this is fate I tell you" . Siren said.

"Yeah right, fate. Are you busy now?" Daniel asked all of a sudden.

"Not really really. I hope there is no problem?"

"Of course not. I want to take you out if you were less busy, you know, to say thank you". Daniel said.

Siren heart leapt for joy as she processed what Daniel just said repeatedly on her mind.

"I am very much less busy then".

"Okay good. Let's go now if you don't mind".

At The Eatery:

"So how was it like when you regained your sight again?" Siren asked as they had settled down to eat their food they had ordered for themselves. Her dark blue hair glitters a little without their knowledge. They didn't saw it

. Their eyes were on each other

"I felt alive again. It was like I was placed in a room filled with darkness and suddenly you could see a bright light that was how I felt Siren. Thank you so much for being kind to me".

"Please that is enough, I am so glad that you are able to see again".

"Me too Siren, me too".

"Do you think your idea of opening this boutique will attract the lady here?" Pola asked Jencita as they moved around the enormous boutique mail.

"Pola you don't reason with your brain at all. Our kinds love and get attracted to shinny things. Let me just say this is a trap to lure whoever she is inside here. Don't forget as the princess of Oceania I have magical powers which you don't have. You just watch and see when I capture her with such a simple trick of mine". Jencita said evily as she grinned at Pola who was forced to grinned alongside with her.

"This past few days you have been smiling a lot and you don't even asked after me, it's unlike you". Davies said as he feigned his annoyance at Siren.

"Davies, do you know that Daniel and me has been going out to eat almost everyday for sometime now". Siren said in a elated voice.

"Wow Really? Tell me everything and don't miss a part". Davies said happily preparing his ears for the gist.

A Few Minutes Later.....

"Just like that? I am beginning to like this guy, Daniel. But you have to bring him to me to check him if he is as good as you claim him to be".

"Of course my soldier but mind you we are not dating yet". Siren replied almost immediately.

"But you wish to date him Siren, I can see it in your eyes".

"Hey Joel where have you been all day? I was worried to death you know. There is something called phone, you could have placed a call to reach". Sirene said as she scolded Joel who was just coming back from wherever he was.

"I went for a brief swimming Sirene. I am sorry if I had kept you worried".

"Okay, next time you call me to know your whereabouts", Joel nodded his head and she continued "So why were you out for swimming?"

"To clear of my head and mind". Joel said as he sat down on the sofa chair and Sirene sat down beside him, too close.

"What for?".

"I am in love Sirene. In my 300 hundred years (Mer folk live so long) I never expected to fall in love with someone I didn't expect". Joel whispers but Sirene still heard him.

"I see no wrong in that Joel. We fell in love at any given time, so be happy that you are in love. So tell me who is the lucky lady that got your heart beating". Sirene asked as she stares up at Joel.

"Would you hate me if I tell you who she is?" Joel asked all of a sudden.

Confused a bit "No Joel why would I hate you because of a lady you have fallen in love with. Come on Joel, I won't get angry so spit it out. Who is the lucky girl?".

"I am in love with a girl named.... Sirene". Joel said finally.

"She bears my name too?" Sirene asked.

"The girl is you Sirene. I had loved you right from the day you smiled at me. You were so happy. I know it might come as a shock to You Sirene, but believe me when I say I love you". Joel said pouring out his heart.

"Joel are you really okay? Did you really heard what you just said?"

"Yeah. That I  love you, I mean it Sirene".

"But I don't love you Joel, I see you as a friend. Besides I have someone else in my mind".

"I know, I was told by your friend Endolei. But it doesn't matter Sirene because I am willingly to wait. We live longer than humans. So I will till your human lover grows old with you and die, I am willingly wait for you".

Siren and Davis were coming out from the phone store. Siren had dragged him to the phone store to get an IPhone for Daniel. At the same time Jencita opened the door of her boutique to step out across them when Siren saw her and gaps out loudly drawing the attention of Davies to her.

"What is it Siren".

"Is that not your portrait Davies. The one you had always draw, the lady of your dreams. Is that not her?".

. Siren asked confusingly as she stares up at Jencita who has not yet know of their presence at the other side of the road.

Davies has been left speechless the moment he set his eyes on Jencita. Here was the mermaid who had saved him from drowning and get eaten by a shark years ago.

"Isn't it time you tell Siren the truth about yourself Daniel?".  Juliet asked.

"Not yet Aunty, I need to know if she truly love me the way I have loved her and have been watching her years ago. Come on aunty, just give me some time to put things in order. I love Siren, I have watched her from afar and took time to plan this", Daniel told Juliet.

"By pretending to be blind which you are not and me in disguise", Juliet said and continued. "If your mother, my sister, and your father eventually heard that their only son was pretending to be blind and poor to woo a girl that is engaged to the Williams family. Do you have any idea what they would do to them? Let us put a stop to this pretence and just go home. Look at me, A judge, has to pretend to be what I am not. I only followed you to the slums when you told me you brought  this acres of lands to rebuild these poor homes. I never knew you have drafted out your plans already. Just thank your stars that Siren treats me better".
