She was there, lying in a foetal position on the carpet. She looked pale and vulnerable. Even in her sleep she looked disturbed.

Brad lifted her up from the floor and placed her on the bed..

"Baby, are you okay???" Brad whispered pushing back the hair on her face.
"Yeah I am fine..." Reginah replied weakly.
"I will make us some breakfast.." Brad let's out an understated sigh and turns to leave when Reginah holds his hand, "I am sorry about yesterday.."

Brad didn't respond but twist his wrist off her grip. 
"I am not a monster Brad, I am just a girl in pain..." Reginah lamented making Brad pause at his steps..

"I wish you would let me in and allow me share your pain..." Brad's voice was filled with disappointment.

"I want to let you in Brad. I wanna tell you everything.."
"Yesterday I got hurt and you didn't care.. . Yesterday for a moment I didn't know who you were..." Brad found himself yelling.

"I was angry Brad, I met my father yesterday..." Reginah raged.

Her face read anger all the way from her eyes to her mouth.

"Brad, to him I am a mistake... To him I am the mistake he regretted committing

. I meant nothing to him..." Reginah spat out with fury, "Brad, he even had the guts to look me in the eyes and say that..."

Brad suddenly felt his disappointment being replaced with pity. What kind of a father was he??? He felt stupid, he would have insisted more to know what happened but he didn't.

Reginah slowly emerged from the anger she was possessing and walked towards Brad, "I am sorry you got hurt Brad. I am sorry that since the time you knew me all I have caused you is pain.." Reginah hugged him from behind and Brad just stood there like a stature...

"Brad my anger was stronger than my sane mind. When I saw Isabelle, I saw her sister Patricia.. my dad's new wife...I got jealous, my mother has been waiting for that man all her life. Why didn't he choose us???" Reginah sobbed on Brad's back..."Are we not supposed to be loved???"

Brad hadn't realized that he was crying too..He shared in her pain.
He took her hands and twisted around hugging her...
"Baby, your Brad is here... I will always choose you. I will always love you..."

The more Brad consoled Reginah, the more she cried.. It was like a catalyst to her tears...

"I am sorry Brad..." Reginah massaged his swollen side of his forehead..
"It's okay... I am sorry too that i didn't try harder..." Brad retorted, wiping her tears away.."No more crying baby.., It's okay.."

Reginah nodded resting her cheek on his hand, "I don't know what would become of me without you..."
"We are one and I am never gonna leave..." Brad kissed her forehead...

Then all over sudden something crossed Brad's mind, "Did you say Patricia is your dad's wife???"
"Yeah.." Reginah replied pretending to be unbothered..

"Sh-t!! Sh-t!!!" Brad cursed, hands on his mouth.

. He looked worried...

"Please tell me, we are not related??" Reginah stuttered dropping his hands off his mouth..

Brad replied after seconds of tensed silence, "We are not.."
Reginah sighed, slapping his arm. "You startled me.."

"Baby, I am afraid you are Carlos' half sister.."

"What??? How?? Where???"

"Yesterday he was so furious that his father never told him he had a daughter..."

"This can't be Brad, Carlos will hate me..." Reginah cried out, shaking her head.
"Why does my life has to be complicated???" Reginah covered her face with her hands...

"Baby we are in this together...Calm down..." Brad enfolded her in his arms..

"I don't want him hating me..."
"We will know of what to do when we get to that bridge, but for now get ready. We need a break from all this and I have the best idea... "Brad beamed..
"But I don't...."
"No buts, do this for me as a gesture after hitting my balls and missing a shoe that hit me.."

Reginah couldnt help but laugh...
"What's funny?!!I almost died..."
"Nothing..."
"Nothing... Baby you were like a wild animal and I was the receiver of your wrath.. Do you know how traumatizing that is???" Brad whined like a two year old.
"The good thing is you are alive.." Reginah pressed the swollen side of forehead.
"Ouch!!!" Brad squirmed.
"I will get ready and if you don't stop whining I will make sure your whole forehead is swollen.." Reginah joked..

"Do you have split disorder??? One moment you crying on my chest the next you are all bossy..."

"All I know is that we need to shower..."Reginah whispered in his ear seductively dragging him into the bathroom...

Quarter past one they arrived at Homai forest.
Reginah was the one who rode them there.

"Brad, do you plan to kill me and dump me here???"
"Seriously??"Brad looked at her disbelievingly.
"Like we are not here to fetch water or firewood. So what's your plan???"
"Don't ruin this Riri, just watch and see.."
"Okay my nigga." Reginah lifted her hands in surrender...

Brad had made arrangements for them to have fun...He needed his chocolate girl to forget her worries for a moment...

"Brad, I can't go with this thing..What if I fall down and die?? I don't wanna die.." Reginah begun being hysterical holding Brad by his shoulders.. The people around them had begun laughing...

Reginah had worn the skinny jeans from yesterday and Brad's jersey while Brad wore his faded blue jeans with his white V-neck shirt...

"Baby, calm down...All will be fine..."
After minutes of endless whining Reginah finally agreed to go on a zip lining..

"Can he come along???" She asked the guy in charge after she was strapped in and ready to go..
"No, due to weight restrictions..."
"Can..." She was pushed and launched from the platform..

At first she screamed Brad's name and could feel an intense rush but finally she got to experience uninhibited excitement of soaring through the air...

She enjoyed taking the breather and really enjoying the stunning view.  She could feel all her worries being carried away by the wind...

Zip lining summed up to one word freedom..

The ability to just let go and spread your arms was amazing..

After Brad's turn they went mountain biking, paint balling, archery and finally walked around the forest..

Brad was right , she needed a break. And that break felt amazing...

"Baby, thank you for that amazing experience... I am so happy.."Reginah wrapped her arms around his neck..
"But there is one thing missing???"Brad whispered.
"What's that???"
"Have you ever tried making out in the forest???" Brad wiggled his eyebrows mischievously..
"Gross!!!"Reginah sneered.
"It's not bad to try..."
"Okay, let's do it before I change my mind...."
