Pierced Rose - Episode 60

 

Everything seemed perfect... It felt like a royalty kind of a dinner. The Muigais were eagerly waiting for the Kimanis.

Reginah came in Carlos' car whereas Isabelle tag along with Patricia and Anthony..
It's not like she didn't wanna join her niece and nephew but was rather scared  of her niece's wild side.. 

When they arrived at the Muigai's mansion, the Muigais  brought  out their best smiles...

Brad was happy to see his chocolate girl and her the same... But the rest had mixed feelings. 

During dinner all Anthony and Mr Muigai did was talk about their upcoming project . Isabelle was stuck on eyeing the love birds: Brad and his chocolate girl..

Patricia was busy murmuring something with Kara whereas Carlos was on his phone...

Calvin was stuck in the conversation between the soon to be business partners.. He nodded when need be and talked when talked to...
Poor Natalia, the girl was bored to death... She just sat there playing with her spoon..

Reginah once in a while looked around and couldn't help but feel disgusted...

Her dad and her boyfriend's dad were both cheats...Now she understood why they were friends, birds of the same feather flock together..

The way they talked, laughed disgusted her. And there was Patricia, she hated her because she was jealous her father chose her even thou she was younger...

Well, well,well!!!About Kara there was not much to say but only that she was a manipulative snake..

. Reginah felt like throwing up...

On that table lied secrets, on that table lied deceit but nobody seemed to care apart from her and those who didn't know the  kind of secrets roaming around...

Reginah wished Patience was there atleast she would have neutralised the place but she lied out of this one....

Reginah thought she was being unsupportive but she now understood her reasons... The dinner was whack...

"So Reginah, how does it feel to dine among the rich???"Isabelle tries getting on Reginah's nerves...
But to her surprise, Reginah responded politely.
"Dear Auntie, why wouldn't I be happy when my boyfriend, dad, brother,aunt and step mother  are beside me??Trust me is a good feeling..."

Carlos and Brad looked at each other smiling, trying so hard not to laugh..

"I am glad you could join us.. "Anthony replied genuinely adding some extra points on Reginah's response...
Isabelle heaved a frustrated sigh while Reginah faked a smile at her dad...

"Reginah is a very good girl Anthony.. I guess she is your replica..."Kara beamed at Anthony who couldn't help but feel happy..
"I make good babies, look at my son Carlos he has won the young entrepreneur award three years in a row. Reginah my baby, obsessed with bikes and never disappoints..How can I not be a proud father???"

Anthony and Mr Muigai went on and on praising their children until dinner was over.  Trust me it was a relief to the rest, it felt like an irritating noise to the ears...

"I will get the files and be right back..."Kara said and walked to her office.

"I will go to the washroom..." 
Reginah excused herself and followed Kara...

"Mrs Kara, we need to talk..."Reginah ordered slamming the door behind her..
"Darling, is everything okay??!You know it's rude to slam the door..."Kara retorted turning towards her...

"Oooh!!!Save me the sweet bitter pill... No one is watching.."Reginah sneered walking towards her.
"I don't understand, I thought we were cool.."
"Are we cool because we are cool or because you found out I am Anthony's daughter???"
Reginah asked and sat on the leather seat beside her,feet on the table...

Kara was shocked... She could feel her blood flowing in the opposite direction. It was like Reginah had read her mind...

"Did the cat eat your voice???Poor mama.."Reginah pretended to wipe the fake tears on her eyelashes...

"I will narrate to you what you know...At first you wanted Brad to be with Isabelle because he was Anthony's sister in law but later you found out he had a daughter who loved your son...Yeeeei!!!Jackpot.."Reginah cheered and clapped saying the last statement...
"Then who calculated your odds and saw that it was fit for us to date because of your alliance. Is it true or not true???"

Kara begun stammering,"How did you find out???"
"I am a smart woman. As you said I am his replica.." Reginah boasted..
"But trust me...I really like you.. You are really a good girl..."Kara tried collecting the spilt milk..

"So here is my deal. My mum will soon open a bakery with my help..

. So here is where you come in,I need you to promote her bakery among your friends since it seems you work under the basis of i know a guy who knows a guy who knows another guy..."Reginah said in her authoritative voice...

"But..."
Kara tried to speak but Reginah raised her hand signaling her to shut up.
"Is it a deal or should Brad find out about his cheat of a father???"
"But I  thought we had a deal.."
"Deals are made to be broken mommy. This is what you get for trying to use me,  plus you got nothing against me..."Reginah smiled confidently, outstretching her hand."So deal???"

"Yes dear, we have a deal.."
They were busy shaking hands when Mr Muigai walked in...

"Hey what's going on here???"He enquired.
"Mother-daughter talks.."Kara retorted trying to smile after she was outsmarted once more..

"Bye, mother. That was a good piece of advice. Brad and I will put into consideration.."Reginah stated and kissed her on the cheek before going away....

Brad had been busy drinking at the balcony when Isabelle tiptoed to him and wrapped her hands around his stomach, her head on his back...

"Belle, let me go.. What if my baby finds us???Do you want another black eye or being thrown over the balcony???"Brad said in his commanding voice, dropping her hands off him..

He begun walking away when she held his hand.
"Brad, I still love you and I know you love me too..."Isabelle retorted with utmost assurity.

Brad shook his head and held her by shoulders,"Read my lips. I love Reginah and she is the girl I want to marry... Me and you are just ex lovers who can only be friends...Get it??!"
"But I Love you..."Isabelle sobbed unable to control the tears from her eyes...
"And I don't..."Brad shrugged,"Kindly I need my house keys back. I don't want my baby getting mad.. For each other's piece of mind move on..."

Before Isabelle responded, Reginah walked in,"Baby I have been looking for you???"

"I am here.. "Brad quickly walked to Reginah and kissed her...
"What took you so long???"
"Your mother and I needed to bond for a little while..."
"Okay,can I show you my bed????Its warm and cosy.."Brad whispered seductively in her ear...
"I hope the theme is naked and wild..."
"Aaaarggggh!!!!"Brad roared while Reginah bit her lip...
"Let's go..."Brad took her hand and they went away..

Isabelle just stood there admiring what seemed beautiful in her eyes.... She needed that kind of love...

"I am gonna make them pay for being happy while I am sad.." Isabelle swore wiping the tears off her face with the back of her hand...
