He walked in and Diana couldn't help but feel her blood course through her veins like an awakened river. Her prince charming was standing infront of her...

She tried so hard  hold herself back but couldn't.  She ran and hugged him but everything seemed to have changed..

Anthony pulled her back and sent her way what seemed like a practiced smile...

"Small house you got here,"Anthony said shoving his left hand in the pocket...
"Atleast we have a roof over our heads..."Diana replied walking behind him to the living room.
"I hope my daughter has always being comfortable???"Anthony looked around seeming displeased...

"She had no choice but to cope with what I could afford..."
"That sounds like a typical you.. It seems you still the same Diana full of excuses..." Anthony snarled more than he spoke..

"I am..."
"Don't bother explaining yourself...I am not here to chitchat.."Anthony made it clear.
"But you can tell me, how you have been???"
"Good!!!Take this.."Anthony handed her two kind of keys...

But instead of Diana taking the keys, she wrapped her hands around his neck.. . Her eyes stuck on her face...

"I have missed you Anthony..."

Anthony just looked at her, his mind taking him back to those years when he made the worst mistake of his life whereas Diana was embracing the moments when she meant the world to him...

21 years ago.

Anthony was a handsome young man who was lucky to be born with a silver spoon in his mouth..

He was happily married to Beatrice, atleast he thought he was happy until he meet Diana..

Diana was a simple girl from Karatina village who had come to stay with her sister Bilu in the city as she tried to make ends meet.

Anthony being  a regular customer in Baker's Dill  couldn't help but notice the new sales girl  mesmerising beauty..
He was enticed by her simplicity and naivity

. For a moment he thought she was the one..The one people are always talking about in movies..

Diana got used to seeing him everyday in the bakery shop in the name of he loved brownies and doughnuts And he couldn't go through the day without them that she fell for him...

What begun as a customer-sales girl relationship grew to friendship then love...Diana loved Anthony so much that she was sure she could lay her life down for him...

Little did she know he had a wife and a two year old son Carlos but even after Anthony confessed the truth to her, she only loved him more...

It was like she was under a love spell... She didn't care if she was the other woman, all she wanted was Anthony by her side....

Things seemed to move so fast, Seven months down the line she was pregnant...

Scared and helpless,Anthony assured her he was going to marry her. Like a fool she believed..
The gifts and money had clouded her insight. All she thought about was the fact she was marrying a rich guy...

During the pregnancy,Anthony was always there.. His visits to the apartment he had rented for her were frequent...Diana felt like the luckiest girl in the world...

But all was good while it lasted...As days went by fast, it was only six days till she could hold her baby in her arms..

She walked to the living room and found the house keys,a fifty thousand cheque and a goodbye letter..  She was devastated and broken but she had to remain strong for the being inside her...

Anthony had realized he had made a mistake and decided to mend his ways and get back to his family.. His 25 year old self wasn't ready to fight the world for Diana and so he took his family and relocated to Italy..

Poor Diana, Anthony had lied about everything apart from his name and that he had a family...
So she couldn't trace him....At 19 years she had to toughen up and be ready to face the harsh world.. The world that mocked and insulted single mothers...

At 19 years, her parents disowned her and her sister kicked her out. She had some personal issues so there was not much she could have done for her... She was bitter at life but not at the innocent child in her arms, she gave her hope, strength and courage to face the world....

"Did you not miss me for all these years Tony????"
"I didn't Diana, what happened between us was a mistake..."

Anthony hadn't gotten over his guilt and hate for Diana.. Deep down he knew she wasn't at fault but couldn't help it...

Maybe if she wasn't working in that bakery shop, he wouldn't have fell for her and cheated on his wife...

"But..." 
"Here are the keys to your new house and car..." Anthony butted in, glaring at her with angry eyes....

He dropped her hands from his neck and moved a step back...

"We don't need your money or pity..."Diana crossed her arms on her chest...

Anthony stated at her with no emotions on his face before he begun laughing,"Honey, you were unable to take care of my daughter all these years, unfortunately she had to take care of you..

Anthony begun erupting into his furious state...

"Don't you dare insult me. I tried my best...I did all I could...Or do you think the far she has come is because of your filthy fifty thousand???" Diana yelled..

Anthony held her by her arms and whispered venomously,"Is being an underage stripper one of the things you tried your best in... I am back to give my daughter the best life she requires. I don't need your permission for that Diana...You have messed with my daughter's life but I won't let you anymore. You are a insult to motherhood."He pushed her hard that she sat on the sofa...

"To set things straight, I am married to Patricia.. There can never be anything between us so snap out of it and move on..."

Diana couldn't fight her tears....
"Anthony all I did was love you..."She screamed slapping his chest but Anthony held her hands,"No Honey,all you were was a mistress who thought would trap me with a baby...I will be moving back to Italy soon and I want to leave everything sorted around here..."

Although she wanted to hate him, she couldn't. In him, she saw her baby girl.. Indeed she was his replica.

Anthony placed a one million cheque on her hand,"Give this to my princess.."He hissed and walked away...

Diana was left there in desolate sobbing, the sobbing that comes from someone drained from all hope..
Although she was hurting, her healed wounds resurfacing she was glad she had finally gotten the enclosure she needed...

A waking up call, it was time to move on...

Reginah walked into the house and found her on the sofa crying her lungs out...
Without asking any questions she dropped her bag and  took her in her arms....
For minutes she sobbed while Reginah rubbed her back...

Her world was always infront of her but in a spur of excitement she almost messed it up... She was the only one who always had her back and she was blind to see that...

"I am sorry baby girl, I am so sorry for being stupid.  I thought after seeing me, he would remember the old times but I was wrong...I messed up..."Diana lamented...
"Please forgive me my baby,"Diana pleaded going on her knees....

"It's okay mama, I forgive you..."Reginah hugged her...

Diana owed Carlos and Brad for making Reginah realize that her mother meant the world to her...They convinced Reginah to go back home and make things right with her mother...If it weren't for them, Diana would still have been there making the sofa wet with the tears with no one by her side...

After moments of emotional reunion between mother and daughter,Diana showed her the keys...
"Do you want us to return them???"
"Get up, we have things to pack up...We are finally moving out..."
