Pierced Rose - Episode 18

 

While everyone slid onto their chairs, they looked at the table with amusement.

The table had been filled with variety of dishes, it was hard for one to choose what to eat and what not to... They all looked delicious and their aroma was breathtaking.

"The chef must have been in a good mood to prepare all these. They look yummy..."Mike yawned rubbing the back of his neck.. .  He still felt tired, the five hours sleep made no difference.

"Good morning family," Reginah smiled walking towards the table with a jug of orange juice on one hand and mango juice on the other.

"Riri you???" Maggie asked sitting next to Mary..
"Yes, I made breakfast.."
"Where is the chef???" Brad asked taking the jugs of juice from her...

"He had a bad headache so I told him to rest...Have a seat Brad and have breakfast before it gets cold.."
"Riri we came for a vacation, why did you have to wake up so early??." Mary confirmed rubbing her sleepy eyes..

"I am an early riser, enough with the questions. Everyone begin eating before the food gets cold.." Reginah beseeched sitting next to Ben....

"Bff, come on start eating.." Reginah said, serving him some mahamri...
"Can I hug you right now, this is amazing.." Ben retorted after having a bite from the mahamri...
"Yes, please..." Reginah smiled hugging him..

"I am sorry Anna," Reginah joked pulling back, "It's okay, you deserve more hugs for this amazing breakfast..."

"You must be tired from preparing all this Riri, you should probably rest after breakfast..." Brad suggested, tilting his head to look at her since she was seated infront of him...
"Come on Brad, it was nothing..." Reginah laughed softly, pouring herself some orange juice..

"Mamma Mia what a breakfast??? I don't know what to choose from.They are all my favouritos. May it be mahamri, samosa, kaimati, mkate Mayai..Brad the chef needs a pay rise this is amazing..." Malcolm commented sliding into his chair excitedly followed by Michelle.

"Too bad it's not him who made this but Reginah," Brad stated with full confidence..
"Marry me right now Reginah," Malcolm outstretched his arms for a moment before sinking into his seat," If only I was single, we could have gotten married this minute..." Malcolm murmured, putting each of everything in his plate," I am gonna have all of them..."

"Reginah you should teach me to make all this or Malcolm is gonna leave me and marry you right away.." Michelle joked and the table was filled with laughter..
"Sure thing honey..."

"Guys after this delicious breakfast, what are we gonna do for fun???" Maggie asked with mouth full of Samosa.
"Let's  spend the day at the beach then at night we can have fun by the pool.." Mike stated not lifting his face from his plate..
"That's a good idea, atleast my bff here will have fun..." Ben said, his arm on Reginah's shoulder..

"Why did none of you wake me up???" Isabelle nagged sitting next to Brad but everyone ignored her," Wow!!!This looks yummy.." She retorted taking a bite from kaimati.

"Reginah made them..." Ben told her making her spit it on a serviette," I forgot I am on a  diet.."

"It's okay Isabelle, there is some mango juice.

. You can have some.." Reginah smiled signalling Brad to pass her the jug with the mango juice..

"Atleast there is some use for you during this getaway.. I can see you remembered you place.." Isabelle sneered pouring herself some juice..
"Isabelle, not now. Don't irritate us early in the morning.." Mary stated sending her a bored look.
"I am just saying the truth, a maid should always be a maid wherever she goes..."

Reginah had had enough of Isabelle tantrums, she needed to shut her up for a while...

"Guys, I need to tell you something about my relationship with Brad.." Reginah's statement made everyone stop what they were doing and keenly looked at her..
"Riri, don't..." Brad shook his head..
"Brad it's a high time we tell them the truth, they are our friends so they are family..." Reginah responded frantically looking at Brad...

"Are you two dating??" Ben asked in an expecting tone.

"I am Brad's housemanager, I work for him but he is more of  a friend to me than a boss. And that day when I came out of his car, I was from working at his place so he gave me a ride. Everything I said was a lie." Reginah bit her bottom lip anxiously.

"That's okay. I am glad you trusted us with this issue.. You weren't ashamed of what you do." Mike litled and Reginah was surprised...

Everyone responded positively to her confession. They didnt laugh or joke about it, they were just cool..

"No matter what you do may it work in a club or as a maid you will always be my best friend.." Maggie smiled making the table be filled with Awwws 
"And we will support you all the way.." Mary added standing up from her seat and when to hug Reginah..
"And you will always be the best housemanager I have ever had..." Brad retorted, flashing her a naughty grin...

"You see guys ,I told you Reginah should always be in all our getaways..She is adorable.." Malcolm said rubbing his now satisfied tummy..
"And I am lucky you are my Bff.." Ben twinkled putting a piece of kaimati in Reginah's mouth..

"Since everyone is saying something, I am glad to have known you Reginah," Michelle said, "You are an amazing human being.." Anna added..

"Enough guys,you will make me cry and I don't wanna ruin my make up.." Reginah said squeezing the hands of those beside her..
"Thank you too guys, you are like family and I love..."

"We love you too..." The whole table apart from Isabelle replied in unison.
"Guys come on it's just cooking, it's not like she has won some lottery???" Isabelle snarled with a eye roll.

"Just cooking, my friend can you even boil water???" Mary asked her and everyone laughed beneath their noses..

Isabelle begun stammering and Mary cut her off,"Just admit you can't boil water let alone wash utensils. So just shut up I beg...You know I am energised and in a mood to fight." Mary bawled out and Isabelle remained quiet..

"Good morning guys??"Jayson greeted taking a seat next to Mike..
"Man, have some breakfast courtesy of chef Reginah..." Mike retorted.
"It looks amazing and I am sure they are so delicious..."Jayson said smiling at Reginah who looked away...If Jayson thought everything was gonna be solved with a smile, he was wrong... His mistake was unforgivable...

"Guys I will have a walk, see you at the beach soon after you have freshened up. I will be waiting for you.." Reginah stood up and walked away....
