Pierced Rose - Episode 25

 

Reginah was going crazy, it had been two weeks since she had seen Brad or even heard of him.
He was neither at home nor school. It was like he had disappeared into thin air...

It felt like time had stood still and the world was rotating anticlockwise. Nothing was  normal and the world seemed dull...She missed him so bad and it was now that she realized he meant the world to her..

She asked around but no one seemed to know where he was...It was like all around her only she was worried...

She looked for him everywhere but all in vain. If  it were possible, she would have turned the world upside or even travelled all over the world just looking for him..

The aching of longing to be with him echoed through the very narrow of her bones.
She missed his muscular arm that she dreamt was wrapped around her as much as she missed the smell of him..

It was the third day she hadn't gone to school faking a flu. Without Brad, she didn't feel like doing anything apart from stay at home and feel sorry for herself for not expressing her love for him long ago...

She plopped on the sofa and looked at his photo in her phone as tears gathered behind her eyes.
He was smiling, why not??? She had made him pancakes his favourite..

She briskly wiped the tears from her eyes, their memories still fresh in her mind. The way they met, how she treated him, how he saved him from drunk bafoons, how he was always there for her and many more but all she did was either hurt him or push him away..

If he was there, he would take her into his arms and make her feel better. If only she would see him for the last time and  shout for the world to hear how much she loved him...

If only he was there to occupy the loneliness that was eating her up. Where was her beloved???

Everything felt different. With Brad, it was true love..  She was sure to spend the rest of her life with him. He was her light, laughter and hope. The love she had for Jayson was nothing close to what she felt for Brad...

He was the electricity that sent sparks to her mind, body and soul...

Suddenly Maggie got inside the house dragging her from her thoughts..
"Reginah, we have to get to the airport now!!!! Brad will be landing in an hour's time..." 
"How do you know???" Reginah stood from the sofa.
"Her mother told me, we need to go.."

They both hurriedly ran out of the house. Did she have time to shower??? F-ck it..

The arrivals lounge was a curious mixture of bored and excited people and there was Reginah with her pyjamas. Their friends were already there and everyone was wonderstruck when they saw her but she didn't give a f-ck. Jayson couldn't come since he didn't wanna ruin Reginah's special day. She deserved all good things in life and he wasn't one of them.

All she wanted was to see her love once more...
In the Arrivals lounge some people looked like they were waiting for the bus and the others waiting for the president himself..

The one hour felt like a lifetime..

After an hour of impatiently waiting and moving around in circles, Reginah spotted the bored tired Brad walking into the Arrivals lounge. She couldn't believe her eyes that he was actually there....

"Brad!!!" She shouted running towards him with all her strength..
"I love you Brad," she cried out wrapping her arms around him.
Brad on hearing those words, dropped his luggage bag and held her tightly.
"I love you Brad so much.I love you!!I love you!!!I love you!!" She shouted unable to control the tears  burning behind her eyes...Brad knees went weak by her confession...

Brad pulled her back and his hands reached for hers. They interlocked them as they kissed passionately. Her lips pressed against his with passion, love and affection..The kiss felt right.

"I love you my Reginah.."
"I love you too my Brad.." Reginah replied pushing away her fears...
With her Brad, she felt home..

"Why did you leave me??? Do you know I have looked for you everywhere.." Reginah lamented, hugging him once more..
"I had gone to help my big brother Caleb sort out some business issues concerning our hotel in Belgium." Brad  stated placing his cheek on her head as he stroke her hair diligently.

"I missed you so much..."
"I missed you too baby. The last two weeks have been the worst days of my life.. My life has no meaning without you..."

Brad felt amazing and alive on hearing Reginah saying she loved him..
"Brad, I am now sure of what I want. I want you and only you.. To hell with my fears, all I need is you. My love, my heartbeat and my everything..." Reginah cupped his face..

"And I love you too honey. I love you too.." Brad brought her hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss upon it.

By now they had attracted a crowd but both of them were lost into each other and hadn't noticed. 
They were pulled back to reality by the claps from the crowd..

"Congratulations Brad, it seemed your plan worked.." Mike said giving him a hug.
"What plan???" Reginah asked a weird look on her face.
"You said you needed time so I didn't tell  you about my trip so that you would finally know what you want..." Brad kissed her before she could say anything.

"Bff, do you notice you are in your pjs??" Ben joked and Reginah hid her face in Brad's chest embarrassingly.
"It's called being crazy in love.." Mary laughed.

"Baby it's okay," Brad said lifting her face from his chest," I love you the way you are.."

"Finally the little girl will stop crying and acting all crazy looking for her prince," Maggie teased, hugging her, "I am happy for you honey, you deserve the best.."
"Thank you dear."

"I need some whisky to celebrate the new couple in town.." Mary beamed also hugging her.
"I will buy you three bottles of whisky.."

They all congratulated the newest couple in town. Luckily Isabelle had no idea of anything..

"I now understand why you guys were unbothered. You knew where he was..." Reginah stated snaking her arm around Brad's waist, "But thank you, you made me realize what I what. And that this handsome man beside me.." Reginah retorted, kissing him once more..

"Enough with the kisses, you are making us jealous.."Malcolm poked pulling them apart..

"Honey, shall we go home???" Brad asked and Reginah nodded excitedly as they interlocked their hands and walked towards Maggie's car while Mike carried his luggage bag..
