Overcomer - Episode 22

 

Omotola's POV

I resumed school, I joined the Redeemed Christian Fellowship in my school, I didn't take my studies for granted, I also didn't make much friends because I wasn't use to it, I had 3 close friends Chioma Benson and Damilola Badmus. 

My school life was going fine, I didn't even remember I had a mother, until it was vacation, towards the end of the semester, I was returning from the week day service, I met someone I least expected to see, guess who???

Bisi, as she walked towards me to hug me, I have really missed you, how are you doing, she said, am fine, am sorry for what happened then, it's nothing, what happened is in the past now and it opened my eyes to life, am a Christian now, she said.

Wow, that's great, what about Stephanie, I asked, oh Stephanie, she is studying law abroad, she said, we talked for a while, I was really happy , we exchanged numbers and house address , then we went our separate ways.

Exams started, you need to see everyone on campus, they where so serious, some slay queens do not even have time for their bridal makeups again, this is the period you will know fine girls, for the 100levels, some of our papers where CBT, I had 4a's and 2B's, the rest will be posted on doing notice board when the new semester starts

Everyone was preparing to go home, no more foodstuffs think it's time to go to Lagos, I need to sort things out with my family, I got home that weekend, I couldn't even recognize the twin girls again, they are just 2 yers old oo, they where so pretty, I greeted Asake, then went inside, I saw my stepfather, good evening sir, what are you doing here??, He asked angrily, I came to apologise for what happened last time, I said kneeling down.

If you had killed me then, would you be begging my spirit, he said, his words pierced my heart, I am deeply sorry sir, I said. I can forgive you, just on one condition he said 

Mr Alabi's POV

I was surprised to see Omotola, what are you doing here, I screamed, she said she came to make amendment, and I told her the only way I Olatunji Alabi can forgive her is by having s*x with her and not the usual ones, make up s*x.

That's not a problem, she said but not tonight, ok dear, go inside and relax, tommorow is ok by me.

Omotola's POV

I was shocked he still had the effontery to tell me to sleep with him, I gave him an excuse that I just finished my period that day, so we plan for the next night.

I noticed Asake was sleeping around the house, Babe if you are sick, you should visit the doctor and stop self medication, you look so pale, ok small madam, she said, walking away hurriedly

I locked my room, so tight that night, to avoid story that touches, I don't trust that man at all, before I got up that morning, Mr Alabi had gone to work, I packed all my stuff and went to Anty Funke's place, I know he will never forgive me for playing on his intelligence, but one has to be wise, once bitten twice shy.

I remembered Dr Kemi, I called her inside the bus, she answered almost immediately, good morning ma, it's me Tola, do you still remember me, why not, you would be a big girl by now, she said

. Yes ma'am, I am on my way to Ijebu ode, do you still work there, no my dear, o work at Ibadan now. She said

Wow!!, I school at Ibadan, wait to, you are now in the university, Yes ma'am, you are talking to a Barrister in the making, I could here her laugh, that's nice dear, make sure you visit me , I will send you my address, I have to go now, there is an emergency.

I got to my aunt's place, two days later, mom called me.

BUNMI's POV

What did you come and do in my house, you this unfortunate child,  have I not warned you not to come there, oh cause I still give you money, mom I said, dont mummy me, when am talking you don't talk, you listen. So you think you can still seduce my husband, thank God he left the house for you.

You are so shameless, at this age, all you do is sleep around, to the extent of s*ducing your stepfather.

Mom, you are accusing me wrongly, I omlo came to apologise to you both, but unfortunately you where not around she said.

Why did you not call me, mom do you pick my calls she said, stop interrogating me Tola,I shouted angrily,  I seize to be your mother from today, don't expect anything from me again, including money, I curse the day I fell in love with your Father, I cut the phone

Omotola's POV

Tears gathered my eyes, aunty Funke came in, have you seen your life, you better stop shedding crocodile tears, small pros*itute, you just like to inflict pain on that woman, I warned against keeping the pregnancy then, see the end result

Since your mother has disowned you, you can no longer live here, I give you only today , first thing tomorrow Morning, pack all your things and leave my house. I know ur next Target now might be my husband she said

I cried all through that night, I couldn't sleep, I don't know why I went there, God you are the only one that sees a man's heart, you know I did not have any bad intentions.

I packed all my things the next morning and left for Ibadan, I went to my lodged, Dr Kemi i was around , she told me to come on Friday

Dr Kemi's POV

I was very happy to see Omotola , wow!!, you look really beautiful, we ate and chatted, I noticed she wasn't happy, so I made her feel free with me, my kids had gone to school, we had enough time to chat.

She told me everything , she had been going through, I felt really bad for her, and how her mom disowned her, thank God you are on scholarship, I will give you #30000, think of a profitable business to do, so you can use that for your feeding.  

Thank you so much ma'am, God bless you, you have always been a saviour, a knock interrupted us, who is it, come in the door is opened

A young lady walked in, she hugged her, you didn't tell me you where coming, Tola meet my elder sister's daughter, Mercy.

Senior Mercy, she said hugging her, do you guys know each other, Yes ma'am, she is the senior I was telling you about, that helped me .Tola said

Wow!!, What a world

Omotola's POV

Senior Mercy, am so excited to see you again, I hugged her, I felt so relieved, something kept telling me, you meeting Mercy again, it's a sign of breakthrough, we all gisted, Mercy left later that evening.

Doctor Kemi begged me to stay for the weekend, it was fun, especially with her wonderful kids, Mikel and Esther,  Chioma and Dami called me , the next day, conference calling, Chioma agreed to host me for the remaining , I was so excited

The weekend was already over, I thanked Dr Kemi, she gave me the money she promised me, feel free to call or visit me, any time you want to, she said

I left for Chioma's place, i met her parents. I greeted them and they welcomed me so well

Mr Benson's POV

Good evening my dear, you are Omotola right, welcome to our house, feel free,  I hear you also bear the same surname with us, yes sir she said

That makes us one, enjoy your holiday.

Omotola's POV

The holidays where already over,  I thanked Chioma's parents for the accommodation and feeding, I was surprised when her dad handed an envelope to me, pls manage it.

We both went back to school
