Mrs Benson' POV

TOLA'S mum agreed to come to Ibadan, we told Tola not to come out for sometime, so her mother won't be pissed off by seeing her

Good afternoon Madam, sorry for keeping you waiting, am Clara Benson, this is my husband , I said .

Am Bunmi Alabi (Mrs), I brought out the album, i don't want us to waste much time,

Is this a business meeting , she shouted, calm down ma, it's part of the business, the costumes are in the album, My husband replied

She looked at my husband angrily, as if she was thinking of a reply, then I dialed Tola's number, it's time to come out

BUNMI'S POV

He looks so much like my Joseph, just that he was much more fairer, is he the one or not, how come he is fair, my Joseph was a dark handsome guy, then his wife introduced him, the surname, I tried to be calm, I couldn't help it, when he spoke to me, I got pissed, then I saw Omotola walked in.

What are you doing here Omotola, I was happy to see her but  pretended not to, Alabi warned me not to see her or have anything to do with her again, or he will divorce me and take my daughters away.  I have really missed Omotola.

Business , she replied without smiling, my baby use to be Happy seeing me, but now she isn't , let's go straight into business Madam, Tola said.

Mrs Benson'' voice brought me back to my senses

Mrs Benson's POV

I pointed at the picture, do you know this man, Joseph she said angrily, have been looking for this picture for years now, this was our only picture together she said looking confused.

I looked at my husband to continue from there

Mr Benson's POV

Joseph died many years ago, I said in tears, she looked at me, how did you know?, Where did you get our picture, how come you look like him, Bunmi said

Calm down madam, he came to visit me and the rest of our families all at Ebonyi state, after a business meeting in Kaduna,  I was still working there then before I got transferred to Ibadan.

He told us about you and showed us this picture, he told us about his plans on marrying you, he also told us you where pregnant, we agreed to come and seek your hands in marry the following month, he speaks few days with us and decided to come back.

My elder brother, loved travelling at night, mom warned him that day, but he said he had to go, he want you to see him first the next morning. Tears dropped from my eyes

Some hours later, we heard there was a riot in the park, he board a bus from and lots of people died, which included Joseph, I observed her face for a while and continued, we traced you to Ondo state because he told us you where from there, he didn't tell us your specific location, we did not find you, then we buried him

She could not control her tears anymore, It was so obvious she really loved him, my wife was consoling her, I wasn't even able to mourn him, Tola also cried, she collected the picture and held it so close to her chest, it wasn't funny at all, Chioma and Kelvin came out , they where shocked with the way we where crying.

I am happy, we Finally found you two, from the first day I saw Tola, I noticed the resemblance, so I didn't want to jump into conclusion

. I handed over Joseph's share of my father's property bto  Tola and promised to take care of her feeding and allowance till she graduate.

BUNMI'S POV

I wish I knew he was dead, I cried all through the night,  I even called my sister to inform her  about the latest, have been trying to reach you since, Mama is very sick, we need to go to the village, I was so hurt  at least she should show a little respect to him even in death. I said

She hissed and hung the call, I had to travel to Ondo the next day to see Mama, it's been a while.

Omotola's y

I was happy to meet my father at least I know what he looks like, I knew I resembled him, he looked so peaceful in the picture, I don't need anyone to tell me about him, the way mom and his brother cried was enough to make me believe he was an honest man. I begged my uncle (Mr Benson) to make a reprint of the picture for me.

Mom was so Caring to me that day, I really missed that part of her, though I wasn't moved at first, Tola I know I did bad , disowning you and not catering for your needs, if I know getting remarried would make me disown my pride, I wouldn't have, your youger ones also need me, I had no choice.

Mom and I reconciled , she then called Anty Funke, who told her mama was sick, she needs to travel tommorow, o decided to go with her, let's spend this little time together

BUNMI'S POV

We got to the village 5 pm, I called Mr and Mrs Benson to inform them and also appreciate them, Mama was looking do strong and beautiful I even doubt, if she was sick, I told her about Joseph

May his soul rest in peace  , I knew something must have happened, thank God we found out, at least I will tell my husband when I see him.

Mama, which husband, stop all this, you will be following me to Lagos this weekend, I am quitting travelling around for business, I want to focus on my kids, I said.

Ok, she replied, just make sure you bring me back to the village to bury me, she said sleeping, this woman, I said smiling

Tola stared at me , mom based on psychology, she speaks like someone that will die anytime soon, keep quiet, let's go and sleep.

The next morning, Mama didn't wake up, she died, I cried so much , it's been a while since I saw her, I extended my stay in the village to two weeks, My elder brother said we should bury her once and for all, Alabi came for the burial, Mr and Mrs Benson and some other people, I noticed Tola kept distancing herself from Alabi.

I just wish Alabi can forgive this girl and we all live in peace, Alabi travelled back the next morning, Asake just put to bed a baby boy, I wondered why he left , he took the kids along with him.

Everything was finally over, I gave Tola #50000, please spend it Judiciously, I will look for means to keep in touch with you. Be very careful Omotola, I said hugging her.
