"Dupe, why did you act that way?" I raised my voice at her. I had forgotten that she was my friend because of the stress we went through before we could find her.
"I'm sorry friend," she responded with her head bowed. I felt for her because I knew how it felt when you can not express how you are feeling, it hurts a lot.
"No problem, but I'll be much more happy if only you can tell me everything I need to know," I said frankly.
"Hmm, what exactly do you want to know? I'm ready to explain everything," she said like a child who is already fed up of his condition.
"Do you know Bosun anywhere?" I still asked the question I've been asking the two of them.
"Yes," she said
"Yes? Where, how and when?" I couldn't control myself again
"He was my husband. We divorced some months ago..."
"Stop it, I don't want to hear anything again," I cut in and left her at the verandah
. I went inside to confront Bosun,
"Bosun, can I get an explanation to this?" I shouted
"To what?" He asked as if he did not care, I was surprised that he could be as mean as that.
"You and Dupe of course" I said
"Dupe," he laughed sarcastically
"What's funny in this?" I was confused already
"Please Lara, I don't understand something, why are you taking this matter too personal?"
"Because you both are my friends"
"No, that's not it," he said mockingly
"Then what?"
"You're acting as if I betrayed you or something," he said bluntly.
"What! How do you mean?" I was short of words because my body system was disturbed already. He moved closer to me.
"Lara, I know you love me, it is visible to the two of us, that's why you are being too protective," he held my hand, we looked straight into our eyes, I was afraid already
