If I was told that I will meet Bosun, I would argue. I woke up that morning not knowing what next to do because of the stress I went through the previous day, the thought of it flashed back to my mind how my boss was shouting at me because I did not complete the task I was given. "Lara, I don't understand you these days, you're not concentrating on your work, it seems you've gotten a better job somewhere", he says. I nodded both in affirmation and objection, shaking as if a heavenly breeze just fell on me, I replied him, " yes..no, no sir."
"Your job is on the line if you're not careful, there are many people out there who are better than you and yet they are still seeking for job", he said angrily.
" I'm sorry sir, ..."
"Sorry for yourself." He cut in.
I was so furious inside of me, I felt like I should bounce on him like an hungry lion will tear a dog into pieces
. "You've not paid my salary for over three months now and you expect me to carry out every activities in the office, what a fool!" that's how I was thinking inside of me but I couldn't voice out, I followed the adage sayings which states that a goat that is being scolded and it is still bragging, will it bite its owner? ...
As the thought of all that ensued between me and my boss hit me, I felt weak within and I didn't feel like going to work but I got no choice. I quickly got up from bed, straight to the bathroom, I rushed everything because I didn't want any issue again and as he has said , I've not gotten any better job so I needed to hold this one tight.
I found myself at the bus stop, though it wasn't a magic though, I walked down there

. I waited there for about two hours, no cab passes, even bikemen went on strike, I was down. Another wahala(trouble) today,
"Why did you come late? Don't bother to explain anything, you're fired! Just pack your necessary things and leave this premises," that's what I imagined would happen once I got to the office because there was no hope of getting any means to take me to the office.
Not too long, a Lexus jeep packed in front of me and the cool voice I heard from inside made my day better, "hello damsel, can I give you a free ride?" the car owner said.
I immediately forgot all what my mummy taught me about ritualist because the condition I was didn't warrant that, "yeah", I replied. I entered the car and as we were going, conversations began even though my real self was already in the office , I couldn't concentrate.
" It won't augur well, if I am with a beautiful lady like you and I didn't introduce myself, or nobody has ever told that you're beautiful? he asked
"Many people have said that, both males and females and I've confirmed it myself" I replied.
" what a cool voice, hmm, a beautiful face, beautiful voice and I'm sure you are beautiful inside" he said smiling.
"Thanks," I said shyly
"Anyways, to cut the long story short, my name is Bosun Williams"
"I'm Lara Kofoworola"
"Wow, you have a beautiful name too, you're awesome"
We got to the front of my place of work and I was glad because I would be spared of the unnecessary stories I've been listening to for about two hours now, I alighted from the car and give an appreciating thank you. But as I was about to take a step forward, he called me back, I just grinned. "Can I get your number? if u don't mind" Something went through my spine that I couldn't fathom out, I was just wondering what he want again, but I don't want to be ungrateful, and gave him the number and left. As I entered the office, what I met surprised me... To be continued
