My Boyfriend and I
When I got to the hotel, it reminded of the day I first went there for a business purpose, how I felt that day was that I should be on a date with my boyfriend because everyone just seated in twos. I was now happy that even though I was not in a serious relationship with Bosun, but at least I had a date with him. I was looking all around to know where he was seated, my eyes caught an old friend of mine, I walked down to her,
"hi, or am I mistaken? Is this not Dupe Adams?" I said doubtedly.
"Yeah, I'm the one," she replied.
"You don't recognise this face?" I was agitated to know
. She thought for a while and shouted excitedly like a little child whose mother just brought home Christmas cloth.
"Lara Kofoworola! Wow, you're now big o, how's everything?" We talked on and on about our past experiences when we were in school, our present status and the likes. I was almost carried away with the conversations before it occurred to me that I actually came to the suite for a date, we had to end it and we exchanged our digits. "I'll call you when I get home,' I told her while I just spotted where Bosun was.
" Hi," I greeted
"Welcome," he replied
"I'm sorry I keep you waiting, you won't believe I've been in this premises over an half-hour now, I met an old friend of mine, you know ladies' stuff," I was trying to apologize to show that I respected him.
"No problem," he replied
"Was that all he could say?" I thought.
"How was your day today?" He asked me.
"Oh, my day was awesomely good," I responded joyfully
"I can't wait to hear how it was awesomely good"
"Guess what?"
"Your boyfriend proposed to you?"
"No, another thing," I was acting like the way I used to act when I was a child whenever I was having a talk with my mum. He called the hotel attendant and we made order for what we needed

. Then, we continued with our discussions.
"Sorry for interrupting, let me guess for the last time...," he said while looking straight into my eyes, by the time our eyes contacted, I was feeling shy and the spirit to talk left me.
"OK," that's all I could say.
"You won a visa lottery?"
"No,"
"Then what?" He asked lovingly, and something went down my spine that I felt some connection I've never felt with any man before. I do not know what made him to be so attracted to me because I've not had any fantasy for male folk since I've attained adulthood.
"When I thought my boss would give me a sack letter, he handed to me a promotion letter instead,"
"Wow, this call for celebration," he exclaimed. We discussed different things about how our day went, laughed together and all. By the time it was 10pm, I told him I could not stay any longer because I need not to get to the office late. He drove me home, when we reached my house, he parked the car and held my chin, many things ran through my brain, I thought we would have our first kiss that night, I was about to close my eyes when he removed his hands and said, "thanks for making my day, I wish this will not be the last." I opened the car door, and he asked again "Do you mind if I give you a ride to the office tomorrow?"I quickly grabbed my copy, " I'll appreciate that." We bade ourselves goodbye, I waited till he drove off but I wished he could spend the night with me, I could not tell him so that I would not appear cheap. I went inside and all I could think all through the night was nothing else than Bosun. While I was fast asleep, my phone beeped, I did not want anything to disturb my sleep so I put my phone in silence. Thinking that I would call whoever it was the following morning... To be continued
