"My friend, I made it at last, I almost got missing," Dupe said as she was following me home. When we met at the hotel, she has promised to visit me, but we've not got in touch since the time Bosun was admitted to the hospital. "Thank God you eventually made it," I replied.
When we got home, I remembered that I wanted to inform her that I had a visitor. Bosun had been with since the day he was discharged . I could remember that day, "Bosun, what are friends for? It is dangerous for you to go back to that house," I insisted that he must follow me to my house until he inclined.
"Wow, your house looks beautiful as his owner," Dupe exclaimed
"Thanks dear, I'll soon come to your place too," I said
"Where's the man of the house?" She asked as she was glancing through the sitting room.
"Man of the house? Do I look like a married woman?" I asked with enthusiasm
"Hmm, just teasing you I know you're not married," she said jokingly. "But I know there will be a lucky man somewhere," she added
"You've not changed since secondary school days, miss teaser, anyways no lucky man yet o" I laughed
"Hmm, I will say you said so,"
"Seriously, anyways what about?
" Me, it's a long story but I'm a divorcée, " her mood swang this time. And I know that she's passing through a lot but I did not want to prolong the discussion, so I had to pause it for her.
"It is well my dear," I consoled her
"Thanks my sis,"
"Oh let me quickly prepare something for you, don't mind me," I stood up to go to the kitchen.
"Am I a stranger or visitor to you? Let's go to the kitchen together," she said as followed me

. We talked and talked when we were in the kitchen to the extent that I almost forgot to add salt to the food. I even forgot about Bosun, but I remembered when the food was ready and I exclaimed, "ah, you won't believe someone was in this house and I have forgotten." "Really, who is the person?" She asked. "A friend, let me go and call him, it won't be polite if you don't meet him," I rushed to the room where Bosun was staying. I gave him the guest room that was upstair because since the time I gained promotion, the company gave me an official car and a duplex building.
"You're back," he said and sat on the bed.
"Since, I'm sorry I was supposed to have come to check on you, I came with a friend of mine," I said
"Really, has she gone?" He asked
"No, I came for two things, the food is ready and I want you to come and meet my friend, you remember the lady I said I met on our first date," I did not know what came over me that day because since the time Bosun had told me that I was like a sister to him, I've been acting cold to him, bringing him to my apartment was just parts of my heart of generosity, I have waved every feelings I had developed for him. But laughing and talking to him that day was unexplainable to me and I knew he would be surprised too.
"Oh I remembered, let me dress up, I'll meet you guys in a jiffy," he said as he stood up and went to the wardrobe side, I left him alone and closed the door.
I got to the sitting room and Dupe was nowhere to be found, I was so scared and started shouting her name all around,I later saw her outside with my peacock.
"So you are here, I've been looking all around for you," I said tiredly
"Yeah, when I peeped outside and I saw this, it reminded me of my moment with my ex-husband..."
"We'll talk about that later, let's go and fill our belly first," I dragged her inside. We got to inside and Bosun was not yet in the sitting room, I had to call him and he promised to meet us in a moment. I started to serve Dupe's food, and she was already eating when Bosun came.
"Since, anyways welcome," I said
"Thanks, " he sat down
"Dupe, meet Bosun," I said.
"Huh, huh..." Dupe started coughing continuously, Bosun and I rushed her to the hospital... To be continued.
