Made - Episode 32

 

He sent instructions on where i would take the box. To say i was scared would be an understatement. All my body was numbed with fear and i could not stop praying to God for a miracle or just something to make this night come to a smooth end. At 1:00 am dead in the night i took the box Rob had brought to my place to where Kim had instructed. It was by the fountain i had bumped into David the third time i met him while trying to get away from Kim . The splash of water from the fountain did nothing but increase the rate at which my heart beat against my chest. The chilly night was so quite all i could here was death whispers. The sudden rustling of twigs due to occasional blowing of wind almost made me jump. I was accompanied with David but that did not help calm me down. I was out of my wit scared.

We placed the box by the fountain. Immidiately the phone rang. I almost screamed but managed to stiffle it by gritting my teeth. David just held me as i made to recieve the call.

"I can see you have brought your love piece with you." He said arrogantly.

It took everything in me not to spiral out of control. My eyes darted from one end of the park to the other but i could not see any sign of him. I knew he was there maybe hidden beyond the park

. He was watching me. What could be his end game?  We stood there. His voice reverberated at the other end making me shake to the tiniest bone. 

"I know you contacted the police."

I could barely breath now. My heart constricted. I almost collapsed. I waited for the next statement.

"Don't you worry. I have collected that evidence. Nevertheless i will give you what i promised. A clue to where Robert is held."

He laughed at the other end and as his laughter crackled through the earpiece i could not help but feel dread and sickness in my stomach.

This was way too easy.

"Under the murk and the dirt a beauty unexplored." He said before hanging up the phone.

My heart sunk.

What could that possibly mean? Could It be a hideout somewhere? Was it some sort of secret code? But to where. Frustration built inside me. Why was this happening to me?

"Babe what does that mean?"

I shook my head slowly not wanting to look at him. This things were now happening because of me. I wouldn't let sleeping dogs lie. I let a tear slip from the corner of my eyes.

"It must have meant something to both of you, maybe a movie you watched or someplace you have been together." David suggested brushing away the tear that had just slipped.

I try to rake my brain. Nothing was popping. Maybe because of all the fuziness caused by the fright my whole system was soaked in. Whatever it was i could not figure it out for the life of me. 

"I don't remember am sorry."

"It's okay babe." He said pulling me deeper into his warmth.

The only option we had was to look in wahatever places that could be possible hideouts or those that could hold any clues. I called Mercy and Philip to meet me at Kims place.

Peter tagged along.

The whole place was clear no sign of any illegal activity taking place here. Just a normal house. I stared at the living room couch as if something would pop up and tell me the mystery of the phrase i had just been told.

"Let check Rob's place." Mercy suggested.

The helplessness in was feeling deemed a bit. We crammed into my car and Drove towards Rob's place. All the while nobody said a word to the other.

The door was unlocked.

David pushed the door open. The hope we had harboured in the twenty minutes we rode to this place quickly vanished. Except for a turned table there was nothing. No sign of Rob or that he had struggled while his captor took him away. I screamed in frustration. Tears could not come. I was just angered and scared. What was i missing? Should i have left Kim to rome around and do his stuff? Where was God? Wasn't this a good course? I needed a path between the red sea.

"Danny you need to calm down. We still have twenty three hours." Philip suggested. If he was scared he did well to hide it. Peter stood close to Mercy silent. He was here for his girl.

" Maybe we should go to your former school." David suggested. It looked like a good idea. We had made a great deal of memories there. If any place could hold a clue it might as well be here.

David rode at a neck breaking speed. Within thirty minutes we were in the campus i met Kim. We alerted the campus security and everybody went in to a wild hunt all over the campus. We found nothing. No clues.

I went to my car frustrated. I could not talk to anyone. My body felt exhausted. My mind numbed with fear and dread. Where could Rob be. What could that phrase mean?

"Thanks baby for cheering me up." I said kissing Kim lightly on the lips. He drew me closer to himself letting my nostrils bathe in the scent of the cologne had on him. 

I was in low spirits and sweet Kim has suggested a walk to try cheer me up. He was such a cool guy smart, charming and attractive. What could i possibly do without him?

We stood holding each other looking at the ruins or rather a seable portion of a building that had dissapearred. I turned to ask Kim what had happened to that building but to my astonishment he was no longer there with me. He had vanished. A huge presence hovered over me. And then came the voice.

"You will need an axe." 

"Babe....babe...

. wake up."

I woke up to David softly nudging me. 

"You will need an axe." I told him what i just heard in my dream. I must have fallen asleep out of exhaustion.

"What do you mean i will need an axe? I was just waking you to show you this..." He was pointing at a piece of paper on his hand."

Det. Jonnes is here to help us.

After the development of Kim collecting the evidence i was a bit worried d that involving the police would greatly infuriate Kim. We could take a chance though. We needed all hands on the deck. Even his. I silently prayed that it would be a special suprise to Kim. After all we did not call the police. They just showed up.

"Grab an axe. We need to get going."

"Go where?"

"To where Robert is."

Yayy!! So Kim's last move is on progress.
