"This boy thinks he can fool us with his punchlines abi?" Adesuwa said as she finished reading the text from Asante’s phone to the trios hearing, that morning. Asante had told them what transpired, the shame, guilt and all.
It was Saturday, so the ladies were still in bed trying to regain the strength that Mrs . Njorege’s case study preparation had eaten.
"I am just imagining, if I were the one in your shoes yesterday, it won't have been funny oh. I will just melt" Akosua said as she laughed out.
Back in Bernard's hostel, for the first time in a while he had spent quality time thinking about a particular lady.

As his custom was in the morning before he carries any other task, Bernard had taken a few tabletsof Tramadol (a kind of hibernating drug) as he needed to dissociate his mind from the whole embarrassing issue of the previous day. He had thought of several excuse or stories to give to Asante, without coming up with any positive results.
Soon enough, the knock he heard from his door soon scared life out of him with the vigor with which the visitor was banging the door.
He could have easily thought the noise was from his roommate or Chacha, the room rat. However, Nekesa had slept out last night in his girlfriend’s place and as his custom was, he would leave the first lady’s place this morning and go to the other lady’s place. And keep swapping them until the weekend is over.
Chacha was used to waking up late on Saturdays. They were used to the rat already and they didn't even bother hurting it anymore.
The voice behind the door however sent some chills running down through Bernard’s spine as it was Asante's.
"Could it be that it's love that is giving me this goose bumps or the drug I took?" Bernard thought in his heart.
Apparently, Asante could not resist the text message as she had to come herself to see him rather than even buzzing him.
Although she knew that, the step of coming here was probably wrong as Bernard had not even given her an explanation for what happened or even an apology yet. However, she also knew that her first wrong and major shortcoming was ever falling in love with him in the first place. She was already grossly too into him and couldn’t think of anything else but him.
With a mix feeling of shock and excitement, Bernard quickly welcomed her as he offered the chair for her to sit.
With little explanation and apology, the duo had fallen into each other's arm once more. Just two days ago, Asante had had her first sex. Two days after, the reality of a s**ually active life had befallen on her.
She was no longer thinking about the lady in the restaurant, the other lady he was probably still having an affair with, or even her responsible self anymore. All she could feel now was pleasure - pleasure of having Bernard's rod go in and out of her like the first sets of drilling machines that went into the oil field of Oloibiri.
Perhaps sex was this powerful, perhaps she was just being foolish.
However, an individual’s true character are usually revealed on the aftermath of events like this - when a Man has seen it all.
Could there still be more for Bernard to see before revealing his true character? Or He was already in love too?
