"Babarian boy, listen to me, this is a bad idea" She says and I bend my head to look at her from my position on the tree, a hand raised, she looks at it before looking at me from her place on the ground. 

"Has anyone ever told you that you are rude?" I ask. 

 

"I am not" She retorts. 

"You are" I say, making sure the rope is tight before extending an hand to her. 

"I am not climbing that thing Stellan" She says and I mock gasp. 

"Wow, did you just call me by my name? And you didn't spontaneously combust?" 

"You are not being funny" She says. 

"Really? I thought the main reason you liked me was because of my witty self" I say sarcastically. 

"Hardy har har" She says and I chuckle. 

"Well, personally I think you are just making this conversation long because you are a wimp" 

"I am not a wimp" She says and I extend a hand, she swallows before shaking her head before looking back at the stream. 

"Uh, no, thank you I will like to remain firmly on the ground" She says. 

"Trust me,it will be fine, it's not the first time I've gone rope dipping before" 

"What is rope dipping? Did you make that up?" 

"Yes, rope dipping is a form of jumping I created, it includes you getting your ass up this tree, grabbing this rope and jumping off this tree into the water" 

"What? No, what if there are rocks? Snakes? Crocodiles?" she asks and I raise a brow, she takes a step backwards. 

"There are no rocks, there are no snakes and certainly no crocodiles, I would know, I've been swimming here for ages now" 

"You are Nineteen, can't be ages if you are Nineteen" 

"You are eighteen and you sound like my grandma, are you coming up or what?" 

"No,i am not and beside I'm not jumping into the water fully clothed" 

"Chicken, you are a big chicken" I say and she looks affronted. 

"Well, You baited me, if I jump and I break my spine make sure to tell my father this was your idea" She says and I see she's really scared. 

"Do you trust me?" I ask, extending my hand. 

She looks into my eyes, it's been 2 weeks since we went fishing and since then I've gradually gotten to find out that Sybil Knight might not be all she projects. 

She's feisty but somehow still soft at the same time and I've dedicated my time into making sure this vacation is an adventure for her. 

"Do you trust me princess?" 

"Uh.. Yes" She whispers and I smile. 

"Then grab my hand, it will be fine" I say and she does with a slight hesitation, I pull her onto the branch, wrapping a hand around her, her head comes up and she stares into my eyes. 

Her eyes are golden, this close I can see little flecks of honey and gold.

It looks like a flame, She is the flame and I'm the moth drawn in..

She clears her throat before asking. 

"So.

. Uh, what do we do?" That breaks the spell, I grab the rope, securing her hand around it. 

"Count to three in your head and jump, I will come with you as soon as you let go" I say and she nods, turning to stare into the water before turning to look at me. 

"You promise I won't get hurt"she asks and I know in my bones that this moment is profound. 

" I promise princess "

She nods before turning to the water and letting go, she whoops as her body connects with the water. 

I wait for her to turn and she does, her face split in a grin, her hand wiping water out of her face. 

"How's the water princess?" 

"Get in here, it's the best thing ever!" She says before turning around in the water. 

I dive into the water, backdiving as I go, water splashing everywhere and she squeals. 

I thread the water towards her and she's grinning. 

I lift my hand, stroking her wet hair off her face. 

"You look beautiful" I say and she does, with her eyes sparkling and the sun shining behind her. 

She drifts closer and my hand wraps behind her neck, I pull her closer but she stops, ducking into the water. 

She appears a little ways away. 

"Thank you for bringing me, it's lovely" She says and I give a jerky nod, turning away to get myself under control. 

I know it's too soon to make a move but that doesn't stop me from trying.

I wait in the darkness, wondering if she's going to do it. 

This evening at dinner she had agreed to come with me to the town hall dance. 

I grin thinking about the teasing she's going to get from me if she doesn't show up. 

The stairs creak and I turn to it, she's tip toeing into the sitting room, her eyes on the stairs behind her. 

"Hey" I say and she startles. 

"Why did you do that?!" She whisper yells and I laugh quietly. 

"You got away" I say and she gestures for me to be quiet and I nod, grabbing her hand and exiting through the kitchen. 

When we get outside she puts on the sandal she's been holding and she grabs my hand. 

"Let's go" She says and I nod, grabbing her, the moon lighting our trail into the garage where I get the truck and we drive out of the compound. 

"I've never done anything like this" She says, excitement in her voice. 

"Good, because today's going to be a wonderful night" I say and she nods, her eyes shiny. 

When we get to the town hall the party is already underway. 

"What sort of party is this? I'm I dressed appropriately?" She asks and I almost tell her that she's the best thing this town will ever see in another 100 years. 

"You look lovely Sybil" I say get eyes flies to mine. 

"This is the first time you've called my name" She says before exiting the car. 

I do too, walking to her and grabbing her hand, making sure who ever sees us is aware that she's mine. 

I immediately see Carter as I enter and he's by the DJ, waving at me. 

I wave back, stirring Sybil towards him and she follows her eyes taking everything in. 

"This is my friend Carter" I say into Sybil's ear and Carter waves. 

"Is this her?" Carter asks, shouting a little to be heard above the music. 

I send him a look and he smirks. 

"She's fine! Good job dude" He says and I flip him the bird, I turn to a passing server grabbing a cup of punch for her and she accepts, sipping before frowning. 

"Not to your taste?" 

"No" She says, dropping the punch on the nearby table, a slow song comes on and I grab her hand, taking her directly to the dance floor. 

"What are you doing?" She asks her voice quiet even though there's a lot of noise in the crowded room. 

"I'm dancing with you" 

"You didn't ask me.. I don't think I..." 

"Shut up Sybil" I say and she does, I pull her close, slow dancing with her, I feel her body settle and I know she's relaxed. 

I bring head to her ear. 

"You look prettiest when you are relaxed princess" I say and she glances up before hiding her face in my chest. 

I kiss her hair, savoring the moment.

This is the reason for the lack of updates. 

1.i was slightly busy with assignments and stuff. 

2.I was a little very sick, lol, I'm good now though but as y'all know you are always in my mind I've got a surprise for y'all.
