Everything happened as planned, Nonso was back the next day and although I didn't get to see him because I was still in the hospital and he went home, I got his love through the plenty gifts he sent me.
"I really can't wait to see him", I confessed to my girls, "that's obvious, it's written all over your face, see how you're blushing", Uju responded as though I needed it.
"But I think if he loved you as much as you loved him, he'll decide to see you before anything", Nneka blurted, "but instead he's there having a party without you", she concluded, looking as angry as she sounded.
"Ah ahn, Nneka", Uju turned to face her, "I'm sure he'd have come here first if his parents had allowed him, you know they can be controlling at times, especially his mother, Madame Lucy", she looked at Amaka and they burst out laughing simultaneously, then my mom randomly walked in.
It's funny how I'd do anything to make her happy, she does a lot for me and I feel like I don't thank her enough. My mom once told me that I'd get married to a loving man, one who would be so much more than my dad who was my first love, and when the lucky man realized my worth, he'll come personally to thank her. She gave me a lot of confidence boost that I'd become a great wife so I wasn't scared of that, right now, I just couldn't wait to become Nonso's wife.
"See this one has zoned out again o", Amaka said as I quietly came back to reality

. "Future Mrs Chiedozie, your husband to be will pay you a visit tomorrow, you should prepare", my mom said grinning from ear to ear.
"Awwwn! The lovebirds will be reunited!!" Uju said and they gave a loud shriek, my mom just stood there laughing.
Random gist came up to lighten the mood and pass time and before we knew it, the time was 10:00pm and visitors had to leave. Our apartment was thirty minutes away so I was expecting them early the next day, if they allowed them, they'd spend most nights with me.
As soon as they left, I started fantasising about Nonso's visit tomorrow.
Hoping he would not have changed. Meanwhile, my legs were off the aids and I could walk partially well.
The doctor said I'd be discharged very soon.
Sleep soon came and found myself in a very strange world.
Nonso was standing beside my bed and my legs were amputated, everyone was happily present and I seemed like the only sad one. I was in pains and each time I cried out, everyone laughed like I said something funny. They all took turns giving long speeches and when it was time for Nonso to talk, I noticed he wore a traditional attire like a marriage costume and he had a white lady beside him, wearing matching outfit with him. After his long speech, he kissed her and everyone laughed again. He kept calling her Diana and acted like I wasn't right there on the bed.
Their speeches were quite inaudible and their actions were weird, I couldn't understand why my legs were amputated, I finally got scared and then I woke up.
What I saw when I woke up shocked me.
