Warm Brown Eyes
For a moment, they both stared into each other's eyes. Dee felt safe, she felt what she felt the first time she saw Nelson. It was excitement.
Suddenly Dee looked away and he abruptly let her go.
"Hello, I am Nick and you are???" Nick introduced himself outstretching his hand for a shake.
Dee was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
What if he was another monster in her life???
What if he was genuine???
Honestly she had no clue.
She played with her fingers staring at his hand confusingly before he pulled it back.
She ran out of there while Nick ran after her before he was distracted by a number of girls who were screaming their lungs out.
She locked herself in her car, the image of the handsome guy stuck in her mind.

. She regretted not telling him her name but in a blink of an eye she felt terrified after the memories of Travis molesting her and Nelson's death played in a slow motion in her mind
. She was done with men.
Back at home, she found everyone moving around worried.
For a second a heart skipped a beat.
"Did anyone die???" she thought to herself since that's the only news her family is used to.
"Hey," She murmured at least she believed she did.
Ben turned around and saw her looking down tensed.
"There she is," Ben informed the others running to her and melted her into a hug.
"Do you know how worried we were???? What if you got hurt???" Ben yelled shaking her by her arms.
Dee dropped his hands and ran upstairs to her room.
"Couldn't you have just asked her nicely???" Timmy barked at Ben shaking his head side to side.
"I will talk to her and apologize." Ben assured running after Dee.
Margaret was broken inside, if only she could get back in time and prevent Dee from meeting Travis

. What was she to do to make Dee the happy shy girl again??? She couldn't tell.
Gerald tried to comfort her but she slapped his hand away. She wasn't gonna forgive him so easily especially when it involved Dee.
Ben walked onto Dee and found her painting sun rise.
"Hey dear??" He begun only for her to look away.
"I am sorry I yelled at you. I was scared I had lost you. Please forgive me." He apologized holding his ears.
Dee turned around smiling and gave him a thumbs up. She later hugged him and wrote for him on her notebook.
Thank you for caring. I am okay.
"What's with the sunrise painting???" Ben got excited.
Its means the beginning of a new life
She wrote on her notepad.
Before Ben could response, Esther walked in.
"Am I interrupting anything??" She confirmed without taking another step forward.
"No, not really." Ben assured.
"I am sorry to barge in like this but am bored and wanna watch my favorite soap opera with you guys," Esther explained herself, "Do you mind Dee???"
Dee only shrugged and continued painting.
Esther switched on the television and tuned into the channel with her favorite soap opera.
Dee looked around and her eyes stuck on the television. It was the guy with the warm eyes.
She walked to Ben and Esther.
She patted Ben and pointed at the television.
Ben couldn't understand so she walked to the television and pointed at him.
"I guess Dee wants to know who the actor is????" Ben told Esther but she wasn't listening. Her attention was all on the Soap Opera.
"Esther, Dee wants to know who that actor is???" Ben shouted shaking Esther.
"What???" she snapped.
"Dee wants to know who that actor is???" Ben whispered.
"Its Nick Mwaingiwa, the actor who is loved by many." She replied not taking eyes off the Television.
After minutes of watching, Dee felt hungry so she went downstairs to get something to eat. On her way to the kitchen, she heard the door ring.
The house servants were no where to be seen so she got the door.
She was shocked and dumbfounded, there was the guy with the warm brown eyes.
