Caramel Coffee
Dee was lost in thoughts seated on her room's balcony.
"What is this Nick of a guy doing to me???" She thought sheepishly sipping her drink.
Since Nelson's death, she was dead inside. But now it seemed the new brown warm eyes made her feel alive.
Her thoughts were distracted by a red rose in front of her," a beautiful flower for a beautiful girl."A familiar voice complimented.
She turned unable to hide the smile on her face. She could bet on a 100 bucks that the flushed cheeks told it all.
"Thank you,"she wrote on her notepad.
"Welcome Dee, I wanna grab some coffee but got no company so I thought of you." Nick flirted Dee making her cover her face in shyness.
"Please say yes, you can't turn down a handsome man like me." He boasted wiggling his eyebrows.
"Okay," she replied on her notepad.
She grabbed her clutch and followed Nick out of her room.
"Where are you guys going???"asked Esther after bumping to them.
They both shrugged as Nick held Dee's hand and they walked away.
"Let them have some fun, Dee needs this."advised Margaret placing her hand on Esther's shoulder who was now cursing under her nose.
"But I wanted to go with them,"Esther insisted but her mother couldn't take it.
It had been a while, since Dee had a life outside her room . Her mom wouldn't let anyone ruin that moment not even Esther.
They sat at the coffee table near the window, Nick couldn't tell what he felt

. All he knew is that he felt sorry for her. Her story was saddening, thanks to her big mouthed sister.
"What will you have Dee???" asked Nick, placing his hand on hers.
But Dee's attention was on Nick's eyes which were vibrantly glistening with a deeper glow.
"Dee!!!Dee!!!"he called out stroking her cheek.
"I know am handsome but if you keep on looking at me like that, I will fade away." He teased her only for her to let out a silent laugh.
"What will you have Dee???"he asked again lifting his chin at her.
He noticed Dee was confused and decided to use the question answer method.
"Does Dee want black coffee, caramel, French vanilla or hazel nut????"he enquired.
But still there was no answer.
"I love caramel, how is caramel for you???" He beseeched. And there she nodded with a smile giving him a thumbs up.
He now felt how hard it was to talk to the dumb especially when you don't know the sign language. "Their caretakers needed a pay rise.

It was a special date for Nick. It was the first time he went on a date with that kind of a girl. All he did was plunge his big eyes into hers. He didn't caress her thighs or kiss her even thou paparazzis were everywhere. He was tempted to pull a publicity stunt but was sure it wasn't fair for the Dee to be the prey. Especially after all she had been through. She wasn't like the groupies he found in the clubs or bars.
It may seem foolish to the world but to him just sharing coffee with her was memorable. Just watching her blush every now and then tugging some hair behind her ear made his heart lively.
Looking at the beautiful chocolate petite beside him was a lifetime achievement.
Her innocence and simplicity was something to fall for.

Gerald received a scroll and he was certain it was from Andrew. That was how they secretly communicated, through scrolls.
His knees were literally shaking, his hands trembling barely able to open the scroll.
"Was he declaring war on him???What was written on the scroll???" Those were the questions that rang on his mind.
Hey brother. Long time, come see me tonight. We need to talk.
The message made him restless.
Should he have him killed???How was he gonna kill the untouchable??? How was he gonna get out off this mess???.
