The pretty girl stood in front of the mirror, she looked perfection.

. She felt she loved what she saw. She was so focused in hiding in her pain that she forgot how pretty she looked when she smiled.
"My little girl looks beautiful," her mother complimented her, her hands on her shoulders.
Dee replied with a happy smile.
"Does he make you happy???"
Her mother confirmed cupping her face.
Dee nodded placing her hands on hers.
"I will make sure nobody ever takes your happiness away from you again."
She assured her, giving her a hug.
Dee melted into her arms, her eyes stung with tears.
But the moment was disrupted when Esther slammed the door open.
"Siz, you didn't give me the details of your coffee date."
"Did Nick talk about me during the date???"
"Does he like me???"
Esther asked the questions at a lightning speed not giving herself time to breath.
Dee looked at her quizzically not knowing what to say or how to react.
"And why are you dressed up???? Where are you going at 9pm????" Esther interrogated her.
Before Dee could write up the respond, her mother came to her rescue,"Its the premiere of Nick's new movie so he invited Dee as his date."
"What??? And what about me???" Esther groaned, "Please, let me take your place . You know he has always being my crush

Dee's heart crushed and doubts begun filling her mind. Their mother noticed and swore nothing will prevent Dee from going, "Dee,Nick invited you even thou he knew you don't speak. So he doesn't care if you speak. Go have fun my girl, you deserve it." She encouraged Dee, placing a light kiss on her cheek.
Esther gave her mother an eye roll, hands crossed around her chest.
"Mum, but I wanted to be Nick's date." Esther cried.
"Is it my fault he chose Dee and not you???" Their mother rudely responded handing Dee her clutch bag.
"I believe your date is here," Margaret told Dee, sending a smile her way.
Dee bumped into Timmy on the door, "Where are you going at 9pm???" Timmy asked his brotherly instincts kicking in.
All Dee did was shake her head in amusement. For Christ sake she was old enough.
She walked away brushing shoulders with Timmy.
"What was that all about???" Timmy confirmed from the women in the room.
"Just know when to act up as a caring brother." Their mother responded.
"I can't believe she wore boyfriend jeans, crop top and heels to her date with Nick. I would have preferred a short dress." Esther commented pretending to think hard.
"Not everyone is slutty and desperate Esther." Timmy responded with a grin.
"Where have you been Timmy???" asked his mother after noticing how messy he looked.
"Just know when to act up as a caring mother." He responded walking away.
When Dee walked out the door, Nick couldn't stop staring at her.
It was like little mischievous demons were playing with matchsticks in her eyes.
The closer she walked to him, the more he rose his eyebrows in amusement.
"Dee, you look lavishing. I bet you gonna be the most beautiful girl tonight."
He bent forward so that his two magnificent warm brown eyes were right infront of her," I am glad I made the right choice."
Dee blushed looking away which made his heart hammer in his chest.
He gently kissed her forehead and interlocked their hands walking her to his car.
Esther was all along watching the chemistry and she couldn't help but feel jealous and mad at Dee.
"Nick deserves a girl like me not a shy dumb girl. What did he see in her???" She blurted to herself gulping down the bottle of whisky she was holding.
