Benedict:

It's just suppose to be a tactic to get the Cyndi to quit chasing me but the feel of Amy against me? It's messing with all of my senses. Has it ever felt like this? Hell no! What is this small woman doing to me? I feel her slump against me and my arms catch her firmly.  She makes a sound in her throat I never thought I'll hear from an innocent woman like her and that's all it takes for me to forget why my lips are plastered to hers and I deepen the kiss. She m*ans, I groan . My hand wrap around her hair and I tug her head back so I can get as deep into her mouth as I can. My body is on fire. I kiss every inch of her mouth and more. She's just clinging to me, letting me have my way with her here on the beach and the beady feeling it's giving me is nothing short of maddening.
"Ben!!" Cyndi's screeching voice douches water on my libido. Amy starts to wriggle free of my touch and I hate the woman behind us, killing the mood. I let go of Amy and she staggers back. I want to hold her but she puts her hand out to stop me.
"I'm fine." She stutters. She's not but Cyndi's glacial eyes is enough to have me turning to the other woman.
"What are you doing here Cyndi?" I ask cooly. She looks from me to Amy then back to me.
"Don't let me ask you again." I say quietly.
"What do you mean what am I doing here? I heard that you're back in California

. I came to talk. I know you said you needed time but...can we talk somewhere else?" She eyes Amy up and down.
"I'll just leave you too." Amy starts to retreat but I grab her arm to stop her.
"Cyndi was just leaving. Weren't you, Cyndi?" I ask the woman who looks hurt but I know better. I'm the star now and she wants some of what I can give her.
"Ben, remember what we've been through. We.."
"We've not been through anything Cyndi. Remember? As soon as I tore my knee and my career just about ended what did you do?" I ask her.
"Baby, I was in just as much pain as you were. I needed to..." I raise my hand up to stop her.
"What did you do, Cyndi?!" I snap. She starts to sob but I know how good she is with unnecessary drama. She's just a groupie for my teammates now and I want nothing to do with that. That's not my life anymore.
"You jumped to the next big thing. My teammate none the less." I hear Amy gasp but I don't look at her.
"Ben.."
"I don't want you anywhere near me again Cyndi. Or I'll file that restraining order I should have months ago." And with that, I take Amy's hand and pull her with me away from the immobile Cyndi. Thankfully, she does not follow.

Francesca's father POV:

"Hello?" I move away from my wife and my grandson as I register who's on the other side of the line.
"Boss, we have a problem." I frown at that. Nothing can go wrong now that I'm almost done with the riffraff who took my daughter away from me.
"What's going on?" I try to control my voice as I plant my ass on the chair in my study.
"A unknown car pulled into the residence just this morning sir."
"And?" I snap.
"When it pulled out about an hour ago, right after madam Tina left the building, I thought it was suspicious so I followed it."
"Who were the occupants of the car?" I ask impatiently.
"It's windows were tinted so I couldn't get a look inside. I kind of missed the car when we turned an intersection just at the outskirts of the town."
"Where are you going with this?" I grind out, my gut already telling me who it was.
"It's Francis. He was taken to a clinic by one of his men. He's outside the city."
"What?!" I jump out of my chair with anger.
"Boss I.."
"What are you talking about?! You had one simple job!"
"Boss, I didn't know anyone was still loyal to the dying governor." The idiot still have the mind to defend his major slip out.
"You're an idiot!" I yell at him.
"I'm so sorry boss. I'll fix this. I'll get him out of the hospital tonight." He says. I push back on my chair and exhale.
"We can't have something like this happen again." I say thoughtfully.
"What should I do boss?"
"Kill him. Tonight. I can't have the public know about his illness or have him getting better."
"Yes boss."
"Make it look like an heart attack. Or make it seem like the doctor's mistake. It can't point back to us. You got it?" I ask him.
"I'll get it done." I don't let him say more before I end the call. I drop the phone on my desk and let my eyes close.
"I'm not sorry Francis. Your day has come." I grind down on my teeth painfully.
For eight months I've waited for the news that Francis has finally left this world but the bastard just keeps holding on to life no matter how many pills I have that woman, Tina feed him.
This is better. He can die and I can have revenge for my daughter.
"Francesca, forgive your father." I mutter under my breath as emotion threatens to grip me. I hold the edge of my desk tightly to ground myself. My doctor already warned me of my blood pressure. I can't have anything happen to me before Francis pays.
A soft knock on my door has me opening my eyes.
"Come in." I drop my phone into a drawer in my desk before looking up at the little boy standing at the door. My lips can't help but spread into a smile.
"Ola, come." I beckon to him and his small form walks around my table to sit on my lap. I ruffle his hair and he smiles a little.

. Not the one he used to smile before his mother was snatched from us and his father abandoned him with us but it's something none the less. People will say he's a kid and doesn't understand the finality of death but this kid knows his life took a drastic turn when he could no longer have his mother put him to bed. I can feel anger rushing through me again.
"Grandpa, can Granny take me to school tomorrow? I don't want the driver to take me tomorrow." He says with bright eyes. I pat his cheeks and nod.
"You know what? Grandpa is going to take you instead. And that birthday party I didn't want you to go to, I'll take you there after school." I tell him. His smile gets bigger.
"You will? Promise?!"
"Of course kid."
"Pinky promise?" He pulls his tiny finger up to me and I remember the last time he thought me how to do this. I place my pinky finger around his and touch our thumb together.
"There. You believe me now?" I ask him and he nods.
"Okay. Now go let Granny feed you dinner." I let me down from my lap.
"Thank you Grandpa." He says before running off. My heart can't get better than this and I know it. This pain is going to kill me someday but not before I take Francis with me.
