NARRATOR’S POV(BONUS CHAPTER)

After some months……

“I am really happy you are back dude. I have really missed you.”

Francis laughed as Angela embraced him again. They were sitting together in her living room and he had arrived the previous night and spent the night at her place.

She was looking as cool as a rainy day in a white and black pajamas and she handed him a cup of hot coffee.

“But don’t ever pull that stunt again else I will really kill you this time.”

Francis laughed, placing the cup on the table. “I’m sorry babe . I didn’t plan to be back so early also. I meant to stay for like six months and not just four months, but I realized something which encouraged me to come home.”

Angela sat beside him, a bowl of popcorn in between her laps.

“You could have called at least. By the way, what happened?”

“I met someone there, also a doctor. He was also a volunteer. His mother was among the casualties.”

“Oh my God.”

Francis took a sip from his cup before he continued. “He grew up with his foster parents in the States. His biological who lived in Haiti recently contacted him that they should meet

. After a long conversation on the phone, he told her he didn’t want to meet. She pleaded and did everything. A day after, the unfortunate happened and that was how he finally lost her forever, so he came to Haiti, the woman was dead and he now lives in regret”

“Hmm…”

“ The story touched me, so I decided to leave and meet my father”

“Yaay! I am excited. Now that you have come back to your senses, how do you wanna do that?” Angela asked curiously.

“I already called my father’s P.A. Mr. John, he is going to pick me, I just need to give him a time, though he is already on my neck” Francis replied.

“WOW! I will be seeing your face in the magazine and the TV. You will be a super star!” Angela cried excitedly.

“No no no, I don’t want that. I am a very private person and the spotlight is not my thing.”

“Even more exciting. I heard Frank Nicholas only has one picture on the internet, he is also a very private person.”

“Well, I guess we have lots in common after all” replied Francis. “By the way, have you spoken to Romeo?”

Angela hissed. “Please don’t talk to me about that dog, I don’t want to talk about him”

“What happened?”

“I don’t want to talk about him okay!.” Angela snapped at him and stood up. “I will be right back”

ROSA

The whole frenzy about the new person coming in to join the house was too much for her, she could hardly concentrate on her writing. She needed to sneak out of the house.

Pulling on a loose pair of denim dungarees over a black polo shirt, her trainers and her laptop bag across her shoulders, she put on a face cap and stepped out of the room.

She put on her headphones and was lost in the music as she walked down the big passage and began to climb down the flight of stairs.

She remembered when they had moved into the mansion, it was like all those houses you see in the movies. Even though it has been some weeks since they moved in and she had passed this floor several times, each time she couldn’t but wonder at the beauty of the mansion.

It was huge and elegant. The golden chandelier tangled from painted roofing. Exquisite paintings were everywhere. The house was decorated with so much elegance and extravagance all at once.

Right now there were some men working on the floor. The floor looked like  a large hall which she knew could only be used during a party or a dance or whatever that would accommodate quite a large number of people.

She got to the floor as she by-passed some men carrying a ladder. John was in a corner, unfolding something like a banner. Oh wait! He just signaled to someone at the far end of the hall and the banner was glowing. He unfolded it to its full length and Rosa could read “Welcome home Francis Nicholas junior” glowing from tiny pieces of lights all merged together. Wow! This is one lucky child!

“Hi John”

John looked up and gave her a radiant smile as he spotted her. “Hello beautiful. How are you?” walking towards her.

Rosa almost laughed out. The way John walked usually cracked her up, as if he’s got a hunchback. She knew she has seen that before but no idea where.

John seemed  to be in his fifties and he was Mr. Frank’s most trusted P.A. he seemed to be around much and seems pretty nice too. She wondered why Debby never got along with him.

“So how are you doing this morning my Rose” He teased.

“I’m great. I can see we are getting ready for our prince yeah?”

He smiled. “Yes, we are very excited. I personally cannot wait to meet him. I will be very happy to see my boss being happy again.”

Rosa smiled. “That is very sweet. Well I got to run john, talk later”

John smiled and waved goodbye as she scurried out of the room.

By the time she got out of the building, the time had already gone. The compound was a city of its own and if you are walking, that is when you realize how long the walk is from the gate to the building.She increased the volume of Katy Perry’s Unconditionally that was playing in her headphone which was plugged in her ears. She walked through the archway entrance into the familiar park where she had always gone to clear her head.

The park covered a wide area that could fit about six houses. There were benches for people to sit in every corner and jogging tracks were all around the edges of the park. The west corner had some swings too on which many children played. Deciduous trees, Flower edges and bushes grew all around, making the park pleasant and attractive.

A feeling of relief came over her as she noticed that her spot has not been taken. There were many trees in the park and it was common place finding several people coming to read, hangout or to sleep by the sides of these trees, and the spot you so much desire could get occupied at any time.

She sat by the bottom of the tree, placed her laptop on her laps with her back against the tree while she got comfortable.

She opened the laptop and pressed a button on the keyboard. The CHAPTER 7 stared back at her, she needed to be focused and get things done, the next class was tomorrow and she had no idea how to fix the love twist yet.

How would she get inspirations with everything that has been happening. The way they had ended up in Franknicky’s mansion was still like a movie to her. It was too fast for her, even normal dating takes time right?

How had Debby pulled that up? She had separated herself from both mother and her closest friend, yet she was doing even far better than she had ever done. Sometimes, she praised her. She would do anything to get what she wanted, even if it meant using her body.

 Rosa scoffed at this thought, to Debby, her body was the easiest thing for her to use. So long as she got what she wanted and it seemed to be working really well for her. On a normal day, people would expect such a “bad girl” would suffer at the end of the day but as Rosa could see, Debby got better and better and she was now the queen of the Frank Nicholas mansion.

Talking about the man, Rosa remembered the first time she had seen him, (she had only seen him few times around the house). He wasn’t really different from the way he had looked in the picture he just seemed real, more real and paler and those eyes…..those eyes that stared at her seemed to burrow down to her skull. She remembered he had felt too familiar to her but why?

She sighed, she had just left the house and now she was still thinking about the house.

Her class was tomorrow and she was still at chapter 7. Jordan had left for a business, leaving Nancy screwing her way around just as the real Nancy(Debby) was messing herself around up and down to achieve fame and wealth, it was really working for her as she was now the queen of the Tantric land. So what next?

The way Debby had screwed Vera over was still a mystery to Rosa. She remembered she had come to the house after leaving her mother’s house on that very day and she kept laughing and talking about how she would make her life better alone. She also said something about locking Vera up in her apartment while she took over. It seemed to be very amusing for her as she kept laughing that night.

Rosa could understand Vera must have shared her plan to get Frannicky to herself with Debby and she had in turn used the plan for herself after locking Vera up in a room. That was really horrific.

How was she going to include that in her book? Perhaps if she could get the way it happened and put it in her book, it will surely add an intrigue to the book.

She needed to probe Debby but she knew now wasn’t the proper time. Ever since Debby heard a child was coming to join them, she had been so nervous, probably scared the boy would not like her and since she disliked children.

. Knowing the age could have helped but no one was ready to give her, not even John.

Hmmm, talking about John.  She remembered before they had moved into the house, John had spent the night twice at Debby’s house and few weeks later she got to meet Frank Nicholas. There was no doubt she had an affair with John and that was how he fixed her up with Frank. It seemed too obvious and Rosa knew she was the only one that knew this. This was probably the reason why Debby had asked her to move with her because she was the one who knew almost all her secrets and she wasn’t ready to let her go just like that with all those secrets.

If she couldn’t come up with a love twist yet, she could give Madame Lydia this tomorrow. She could fix this into her plot. Just one thing- she had to be very careful because Debby must not read this.

She smiled. She already had something to write. Leaving the house had been a good idea after all. She brought out her glasses from the bag and began to type.
