"Hubby! It's so hot whenever you bend over the oven like that!" I shake my head at the insane flirting going on right beside me in my kitchen. Who would have thought this would be the start to my day. I'd just wanted to bake some cookies for my husband as a thank you gift for taking care of me last night. But the couple who got married with me a few days back arrived suddenly this morning . Now we are making a big breakfast. No, the husband, William and I are making breakfast. The wife, Michelle, just flirts and keep us amused.
"Like this?" The husband bend over the oven and wink at his wife, I can't stop the giggle that leaves my mouth at their blatant public display of affection.
"Oh, so hot!" Michelle squeals and spank her husband's ass, I nearly choke on my tongue.
"Stop it William! You're making her blush!" Michelle squeals again and I bow my head in mortification.
"No. No. I'm not blushing!" I blush harder while the couple laugh at me. I turn away from them to hide my burning cheeks and busy myself with decorating the cupcakes William and I made. The couple behind me chuckle and flirt harder. They're so cute.
"Oh Rory! Maya, he's awake!" My head snap up at Michelle's announcement and true to her words, Rory is standing by the kitchen's door staring at the scenario in front of him.
"You're here." He says cooly, his eyes on William

. I take this opportunity to ogle him. He's shirt isn't buttoned up and the trail of hair going down from his rock hard abs make me gulp down saliva.
"Earth to Maya!" Michelle's snapping fingers bring me back to the kitchen.
"Wha--t?" I stutter when the couple start another round of laughter. I don't know what's funny.
"He's hot isn't he? Ogle him to your satisfaction!" Michelle wink at me and I turn into a sputtering mess.
"Wh--wh--what? No! I wasn't!." With my head bowed down, I sneak at peek at my glorious husband. He's appraising me. I snap my head back down.
"You shouldn't call another man hot in front of me." I hear William tease.
"Of course you're hotter. Isn't he, Maya?" Michelle prod me.
"What?!" My head snaps up and everyone's eyes are on me. Rory's stare feels like fire on my skin. I shuffle on my feet awkwardly.
"She asked you if I'm not hotter than your husband." William repeats. I try to remove my gaze from Rory as I shake my head mildly.
"Come on girl! don't take Rory's side because he's your husband. He's not as hot as my husband right?" Completely flustered and out of my element, I struggle for what to say? I like Michelle. I don't want to disagree with her but then Rory is hotter! With his rock hard body and curly hair. He's really not a Nigerian. He's too hot.
"Mara! Leave the girl alone." Rory comes to my rescue. I release the breath I didn't even realize I was holding.
"It's Michelle and she isn't a girl Rory." Michelle scolds.
"Whatever. I'm hungry." Rory says and I take that as my cue.
"Oh! I made muffins and cupcakes. I'll just set the table." I put in quickly.
"Fine. I'll in the dining room then." Rory says and starts to walk back out.
"Hubby, you should go with him. Maya and I will bring breakfast." Michelle tells her husband who nods.
"Don't be long." He places a quick peck on her lips before hurrying after my husband. Michelle looks on at his back with dopey eyes.
"He's mine." She mumble under her breath before she turn back to face me.
"You guys seem so in love." I say quietly.
"You wouldn't know the start of it, honey. We went through a lot to get here. Sometimes I still can't believe we are here. Married!" She stare at her wedding ring with a huge smile on her face. I envy you.
"You do? Rory is a great guy as well." Michelle says and I realize I said that aloud.
"I know. I didn't mean he wasn't great." I try to cover my lapse.
"Rory's a hard man, you see. He's been through much and as for a love life, he doesn't have much experience with that. He's mostly been alone. I think he has trust issues. And he doesn't know how to receive love."
"Really? He's been alone most of his life? How bout his family? No siblings? Parents?" Now that I think about it, I don't know much about my husband. Michelle shake her head slowly.
"He has no one. I'd love to tell you more but It'll be better he tells you himself. When he's ready." Though disappointed, I nod.
"Listen, from now on, I'm your love coach. I'm the biggest fan of this marriage and the both of us are going to plot and plot until we have Rory eating out of your palms." She whispers into my ears.
"We are?"
"Huh-uh! Oh I'm so excited!" She bounce on her feet. I can't help but catch her excitement as well.
"I think I'm older than you so you can call me big sis from now on. We will be more than friends okay?" I find myself nodding with a big smile on my face. I've always wanted a sister and Michelle looks like a good person.

. And she's pretty with lots of charm. I want to be like her. Would Rory like that?
"That-a-girl! Now, let's go feed our husbands. We need to go on our outing early after all." She says.
"Outing?"
"Yeah, that's why I'm here. Outing with a girlfriend! Wasn't that on your list?" My brows furrow in confusion.
"My list?" I ask
"The one that also said kiss a stranger! The list that brought you to Rory!" Michelle says and my eyes bulge out. How does she know about the list?
"Rory knows too. You dropped the paper  that day. We read it." What?! I mentally cringe. Oh! The things on that absurd list! Rory must think I'm a freak.
"I'm sure he's still with the list. He took it away that day. I should have known he was already falling then! He ended up marrying you!" Rory has my list?
"Don't just stand there with your mouth open, our husbands await." Do I even want to go out there knowing my husband has the list I made of the crazy things I wanted to do? Getting a tattoo and gambling is even on the list! God have mercy! What was I thinking!
"Let's go!" Michelle calls out.
"I'll be right behind you."
