We drove to her house, my phone rang immediately we got there. I pulled it out from my pocket, and checked who it was. It was Dozie. I answered the call.

"Guy how far nau?", Dozie asked.

"I dey, any problem?", I retorted. My eyes, gazed at Funmi's direction, she had struggled to remove her heels, now faced with zipping down her blouse's zip.

"We are coming to your house today. I'm driving along with Femi down there", Dozie said.

"I'm not at home, man", I said.

"You are not at home?!", Dozie shouted rhetorically . I heard Femi's voice at the background muttering. He said, "Afamefuna is always at home. Something must have kept him outside today".

"Yes, I'm not at home. You really don't want to know every other things", I said. He terminated the call, and I kept my phone back. I sat on the sofa. I looked at my wrist watch, it was 2:00PM. I looked around, it seemed like Funmi was inside her bedroom. I called her out, and told her I'd be going to my house sooner. She begged I should wait that she ordered a food. I waited. In less than five minutes, a courier arrived with two big nylon bags. She paid

. Is that pay on delivery?, I asked. She said yes. I never knew, food outlets accept pay on delivery, I said again. She laughed. After the courier had left, she locked the door and went to the dining table. I joined her at the dining table. She emptied the packs in a two flat ceramic plates. She took a spoon of rice and requested I should open my mouth. I did and she fed me. She continued, and at times, I'd hold the spoon with my teeth and she'd shout I should leave it. I will laugh and she would do in return.

"I haven't been able to eat the plate of food at my front and you haven't taken a spoon, so far", I said.

"It's nothing", funmi said and cackled. There was a knock on the door.

"Who could that be?", I asked staring at Funmi. She stood up and was about to leave to open the door, I dragged her back, and she rested on my body. She looked up into my eyes. She was shorter and had to look up.

"Before you open this door, answer this question. Will you be my girlfriend?", I popped the question.

"Really?", she pushed me and freed herself from my grip. She laughed and walked to the door, held the bolt and opened it. I noticed she was silent for a bit. A man walked in. It was Raymond. She closed the door, and ran to my side. She hugged me and shouted, "Yes, I'll be!". Raymond sat on the sofa, clapping his hands. We were looking grimaced.

"Nice drama", Raymond clapped again and laughed.

"Really? Drama? You are yet to overcome the reality that I'm done with you?", Funmi said. "What about we become friends only. You seem not to be over yet", she said again, and made a face.

"Friends for what?", Raymond asked. I shifted to the dining table, and continued eating the food. They continued talking which I wasn't listening to.

"This food is sweet, darling", I said. I finished eating, grabbed the meat and munched it. I left the plate of food that belongs to me for her. I knotted my loosed tie, picked up my jacket lying haplessly on the chair, hugged and pecked funmi. I left immediately, and she bade me good bye. I looked back, Raymond was driving close to my back. I got to my house, the gateman opened the gate, I entered. I packed my car, and came out from it. I saw Raymond entered my house. Immediately, Dozie and Femi entered too.

"Guy, what kept you so long?", Femi asked.

"It's nothing", I said, staring at Raymond who was busy admiring my house. I was getting uncomfortable. They both noticed. I told them to wait for me, and I moved to where Raymond was, and greeted him with a slight anger.

"This is creepy. Why did you follow me to my house?", I said angrily as my anger kept accumulating.

"Nothing. I just wanted to confirm something. I guess I lost funmi for real", Raymond said, raised his hands up, turned his back and walked out.

. I shook my head, turned back and went to meet Dozie and Femi.

"Who is that?", they asked.

"Forget, I'll tell you when we enter inside", I said. We all laughed and entered the house. They continued chattering in the sitting room, until I removed my clothes, bathed, brought my laptop, wines and glass cups. I joined them in the sitting room. I offered them the wine and glass cup. I concentrated on my laptop to execute some Monday works. I explained everything to them, from the scratch. After I was done, I told them I'm ready to settle down sooner. They both congratulated me.

"But guy, I hope you will handle this one as a real man and no equality bullshit any longer. Women don't want emasculated men", Dozie said. I shook my head and continued concentrating on my laptop.
