The elders of the three quarters sent for Erenmuo immediately on the subject of Anukili. Erenmuo is from Enugu, Aguleri. He was the brave warrior who volunteered himself and led the group that eliminated the other two giant warriors Onoja-nwa-oboli and Otokwulijojo, who constituted nuisances to Aguleri in their various communities just like Anukili. Erenmuo honoured their call and the report of Anukili was given to him
. The elders sought his opinion on how to eliminate Anukili. Erenmuo laughed and told them they should consider their mission accomplished, saying if he Erenmuo could dismiss Anukili's co-giants then Anukili would not be a problem even with his size and strength.

. The elders were happy with Erenmuo’s words. They told him they believe and trust in him, and that was why they had sent for him. Erenmuo then promised to get back to them in three market days to discuss the steps to take in eliminating Anukili.
Erenmuo returned to elders after three market days. He told the elders that he had discovered how they would kill Anukili, that they would get rid of him by burning him to death

. “Yes that will be good, but how would that happen?” asked one of the elders. Erenmuo answered, “very simple, we shall make a public announcement in every corner of Aguleri that whoever would have a hut built on him and dance from Ugwunadegbe to Odene River with the hut, will be crowned Eze Aguleri, by so doing Anukili will be declared the next king. “Perfect!”, the elders said in agreement to Erenmuo’s suggestion knowing that Anukili would definitely want to be crowned king, and for that reason he would come out and declare his interest in the competition if the announcement was made, and no man in Aguleri will have the guts to challenge him.
It is said that in the earlier days, any issue discussed by the elders were meant to be kept secret, and if any elder discusses this information outside, calamity will befall him and his generation.
The announcement was made through the town crier who went round the three quarters of Aguleri announcing that the elders of Aguleri have come up with a conclusion that in the next three market days, the Eze Aguleri will be crowned and whoever will be the king must have a hut built on him, and dance round from Ugwunadegbe to Odene river with the hut on him.
The youths and women of Aguleri in various communities jubilated, happily saying to one another. "At last Aguleri would have a king who will lead us and bring the entire Aguleri together as one community". The young men of Aguleri, started challenging and hailing one another calling themselves different great names. Some claimed that royalty is in their lineage because of the great names they bear, while some said the event should begin immediately. They were all ready to be king with a skyrocketing determination to achieve such great feat.
