Synder-Ella - Episode 38

 

Everywhere was quiet as Zichat spoke. Henry recognized her immediately as the lady he had seen hugging Synder. He stood up.

“Hey, I know you.”

Zichat began to climb down while Pauline and Kat were discussing in hush voices.

“What is going on here?” The queen asked, confused. “Henry, Katrina, what is happening?”

Katrina couldn’t talk, she knew she had been so stupid to have thought this would actually work.

Zichat got to where they were all standing, she bowed . “My queen...”

The queen frowned and threw Katrina a questioning look, “is she not your friend? The one that I locked up?”

Kat couldn’t reply.

“I am, my lady, but I am not her friend. She lied to you.” Zichat declared.

The queen frowned. “What is the meaning of this Katrina, do you have any explanation? Why are you quiet? Pauline? Katrina, isn’t this lady whom you said got Henry kidnapped?”

“They can’t say anything because they have nothing to say!” Said a voice from another angle of the room and everyone turned to see Fiona.

Pauline gasped, “you this stupid child, what are you doing?”

“My queen.” Fiona said with a bow...meanwhile, Henry and Zichat were already climbing the stairs.

“Who are you?” Porsha asked.

“I am Kat’s sister and I was the one who got the prince kidnapped!”

Everyone in the room gasped.
“What!” Kat shouted, stepping out, not believing her sister.

“It is true sis.” Fiona stated, “you have always been thinking you are so perfect and that was why you got to go for the competition. Mother doesn’t even care about me! Do I even matter to you? What makes her so special Mother! DO you even know what happened to our driver? The guy almost died, if not for me!” She faced her mother

. “I orchestrated the kidnap so they could ask for a ransom, you spent so much for her training and I asked you for money, you couldn’t even give me...Jango and the rest were so stupid, they should have dealt with her, probably broken her front teeth”

Katrina slapped her right across the cheek and she slapped her back in return...they began to struggle but one of the guards interfered, holding them back.

“You are a big disappointment to me!” Pauline shouted at Fiona, “this is why you are just good for nothing!”

Fiona wanted to reply but she kept quiet.

“I can’t believe you could do this to your own sister.” Katrina cried.

“Oh please...stop your crocodile tears...what you did to Francis was worse. The poor man is still recovering...thank God he called me and I got there on time. Did you even bother to ask of him....?”

The queen sighed at everything she was hearing...,”this is a complete waste of my time.” She faced the ladies in waiting, “take the gifts back, we wouldn’’t be needing them.”

Synder opened the bathroom door and stepped out.

. She walked to the mirror and was checking her face when a soft knock sounded on the door.

“Zichat, come in, why knocking...” She said and the door opened, Zichat stepped in, half-smiling and looking suspicious.

“Hi.”

Synder looked at her and frowned. “Why are you acting so suspiciously?”

“There is someone here to see you.”

Something ran down Synder’s spine as she saw Henry, she almost lost her balance but...she was standing.

“I will excuse you.” Zichat said before walking out while Henry came in.

For a while neither of the two spoke....

“Hi.” He finally said.

“Hi.” She responded. A dangerous feeling was welling inside her....

 “What about Katrina?” She asked

“I don’t know her, I am not here for her...” He replied. They were both quiet and he walked to her....

“All my plan was to get a princess and get to know her, it backfired and I got captured with you but...it was a mistake and the best thing that has ever happened to me.” He said, inches away from her.

Synder swallowed, “you took the wrong person Henry, I am not a princess....”

“You are not a princess but if you are willing...” He said, going on his knees and bringing out a little black box which he opened ....

"Will you be my queen?"

“I am sorry my queen, the prince got in the way, he wasn’t the one that I had in mind...” Fiona finished until they heard Zichat scream....

Everyone turned towards the commotion and Henry climbed down with the two ladies, on Synder’s finger was a diamond ring. Katrina swallowed....her worst nightmare just happened...

Henry went to his mother, all smiles....

“Mum, this is the lady I was talking to you about....and she said yes....”

The queen sighed, “I am just finding out so many things and I am so confused.... but are you sure you want to marry her....?”

“Yes..” Henry replied, signaling to Synder to come forward....Synder stepped forward, curtseying to kiss the queen’s hand.

“I still don’t understand...who is she?” The queen asked.

“She is a nobody...” Replied Pauline...”my queen, she is just the maid...”

“Oh no!” Said the queen, withdrawing her hand. “Henry, your father would not want this...”

“I don’t care what my father thinks mum....i love her....irrespective of who she is...she is everything to me.”

The queen sighed, she could feel an headache coming up already....”This is not possible....it’s not done Henry...even if she is not a princess, she has to have a class, she has to be a proper lady.”

Synder sighed and was about walking away....but Henry stood his ground...”mum, you can’t be serious...”

“I’m sorry honey but that is just how it is....”

“But what if we can prove that she is a proper lady?” Zichat demanded, surprising everyone.

“What are you talking about?” The queen asked again.

Zichat stepped forward, “my lady, Synder’s father, the former hand of the king was her father and these two ladies here belong to Madam Pauline from an earlier marriage before she married him, that means, Synder is the rightful lady of the house!”

Everyone in the room gasped.

“You this stupid girl! You don’t know what you are talking about...?” Pauline shouted.

The queen stood up and faced Zichat, “that is some serious allegation lady, do you have a proof?”

While all this was going on..Kat quickly typed on the phone in her hand and Synder’s phone vibrated in her pocket, she brought it out and read what was on it, “if you say yes her allegation, kiss your inheritance goodbye.” She looked up and found Kat looking at her, like a sort of dare.

“Do you have a proof, young lady?” The queen asked again.

“Yes. Synder, say something!” Zichat said to her friend who remained quiet while everyone was looking at her...

“Can’t you talk?” Zichat asked again but Synder only shook her head.

“Is this true love? If it is, you need to speak up....” Henry asked her as well but before Synder could say anything...

“Yes it is true!” Fiona retorted and all the attention was now on her. “I was eight when my mum married her father, we are not his biological children and not only that, mother has taken possession of her inheritance which her father left for her upon the pronouncement of her marriage....it is true my queen...”

Kat and Pauline bit their lips at Fiona’s confession and they knew the game was up and there was nothing to be done.

“So why didn’t you say something? Are they holding your tongue?” The queen asked Synder angrily.

“I am sorry my queen, but Katrina sent me a message which got me tongue tied.” Synder replied, handing the phone to the queen who read the message and became angry.

“This is the worst family on earth!” The queen shouted. “From today,  Pauline and her two children will no longer be occupants of this house and there will be a new agreement letter which will state that Synder is the rightful owner of everything you have. And not only that, I command you to serve her for six months in the palace when she becomes the queen...you are going to be her maids and you will do anything she tells you to do, failure to do that, you will be locked up for the rest of your miserable lives....!” Then she turned to Synder...”Synder darling, you are welcome to the family...”
