It was forty days, and after the church Thanksgiving, there was a naming ceremony as it is done in the Igbo culture.
Friends came, wined and dined as they celebrated a child given to them by God..
The boy was named Emeka(jnr) by his father, Emeka.

At Iya Ojuelegba House,
Iya Ojuelegba entered the house and met her husband resting on a sofa, with his leg stretched on a stool, after a hard day at work.
"Ekaaro, daddy", she said. She called her husband, daddy, out of respect.
"Ekaabo", he replied.
"How was your day at work", she asked.
"My day was stressful but I scaled through", he replied.
"Thank God", she said and entered their room.

In some minutes after,
She came out again.
"Err, daddy, there has been some things I have been meaning to tell you" . She said, sitting on a chair facing close to him.
"Okay, say right away, I'm a bit dizzy and can sleep off sooner", he replied.
"You know our daughter have erred us and it's been long we decided to dissociate from her, let's call everything truce", she cut in.
"Please!!!", he shouted.
"You just spoilt my day", he continued.
"I think Tope that disobeyed and visited her is trying to poison your heart and mind against me", he said angrily.
"No o, I'm just being caring towards our daughter", she cut in and a silence followed.
He fumed, "I have done everything right for her by allowing her marry that outcast, so best you can do is to dissociate from her or we dissolve this marriage". He angrily left the sitting room and Mama Ojuelegba was calm, worried and sad.
She had lost her daughter and can't afford to loose her husband

. She made up her mind to forget about Yewande. She can't afford to loose her marriage and society will use her as object of mockery, after all daddy is a man and she is a woman, she said to herself.

At Yewande's house, she was so happy because her sister had been helpful, and Emeka was relieved unlike the first delivery he did barely everything.
"Sis, I would be staying with you for six months before I make my way to my new home", Tope said.
"Your new home? What about our daddy's house", Yewande asked inquisitively.
"He had disowned me for disobeying him and coming to stay with you", Tope said.
She continued, "you know your husband approached me one day and begged me that your condition is critical and you need help, hence why I am here". I can't afford to loose my sister for our father's selfish reputation.
"I am really sorry for putting you in this mess", Yewande said and moved closer to her.
"Why not stay with us, or you have where you'd be staying?", Yewande asked.
"Yes, I do", Tope replied.
"Okay", Yewande said as they embraced each other.
"I am really grateful for this sister that stood by me", Yewande thought to her heart.

**********************
Tope had been helpful, the months she stayed with her sister until her departure.
Emeka and Yewande planned a befitting departure for her as she exited to her new home.
They gave her nice packages and money.
"Tope, I'm really grateful for having you as my sister", Yewande said.
"Tope, you are really compassionate and God will never forsake you", Emeka said.
"Thank you all", she said and bade them goodbye.

Emeka, junior, was barely two years and Ifeoma was five years and, she had started primary school education.
Whenever Ifeoma had gone to school, Yewande was relieved of burden.
Schools were on break and it was Christmas time.

"I think we should travel to the village", Yewande told Emeka while they laid in the bed .
"You wouldn't want another session of drama from Mama", Emeka said.
He continued, "I heard Adaku isn't yet married, and I don't think I can stand her sight".
"Well, that's not my problem. Your parents will at least accept your offsprings and that will calm them down", Yewande chipped in.
"Hmm, nice idea", he agreed and they concurred.

Meanwhile, In the village.
Emeka mother was shouting at her husband.
"You see why I never agreed to the marriage?!", she screamed rhetorically
She continued in a high pitched voice, "Now that stupid Yoruba girl had bewitched him not to visit us again".
"But he still sends money to us and his siblings", Papa cautioned.
"Which money? Will you shut up?! Does money supersede attention from him?", she asked.
Papa wasn't ready to contain her rants as he left her to rant in peace.

December 1985
Emeka left to the market to get things they would be needing to travel with, to their village.
It was 12:00pm when he left.
Yewande was busy arranging the house while Ifeoma played with Emeka, junior.
6:00pm, he hadn't arrived yet.
8:00pm, she became tensed and decided to look for him in his friends place.
Dozie first, and he wasn't there.
Chinedu second, neither was he there.
She decided to tune in to television, NTA for news at 10pm.
It was 9:30pm.
9:35 - there was a power outage.
She heard heavy noise outside, like wind blowing in its full majesty.
She looked out, but there was no wind.
Ifeoma and Emeka junior were fast asleep. She noticed the door, made a cracking sound, as it continued opening by itself and she panicked.
"Who is that?", she let out as the door banged and closed so fast by itself.
Yewande was covered in sweats as she trembled.
"I hope all is well?, I hope my husband is still alive", she cried.
She couldn't sleep till 2:00am, until nature took its cause and she slept involuntarily.
She swam in countless of scary dreams till dawn.
There was a knock on the door, she opened her eyes as she was covered in a pool of sweat.
Her heart leapt.
