So early in the morning, Yewande left the uncompleted building with ifeoma, in order for them to avoid story that touch.

She had a substantial amount of money which would help her start a meager business but now, she had lost hope.
The money can get her a face-me apartment in a ghetto area coupled with agents she had to settle.
For the house to be complete, she needed kitchen utensils, house furniture etc.
Yewande was devastated.
She took Ifeoma to a bukataria, which is a colloquial for restaurant, down a street they had been walking down. They ate to their satisfaction to have energy for their continuous walk.
A thought came to Yewande's mind while she dragged Ifeoma by her hands and walked down the street.
One could mistake them for snow white as dust covered them.
"Beg for money to compliment what you have", the voice said.
"Then rent a house, get some kitchen utensils and use the remaining money to start a small business", the voice said again.
They journeyed to a main road where there was traffic congestion to aid their begging.
Yewande kept passing cars held by gridlock but couldn't muster courage to approach one and ask for aid.
She continued walking down, with tears drenched her eyes as passerby's stares in pity . She found those stares uncomfortable.
Just then, her inner mind told her to approach one of the car held by gridlock by her side and she did.
"Good day, sir, my name is Ye....".
The man was formerly on a dark shade, so he removed his shade.
"Yewande!!!" he screamed.
It was Chinedu.
"Come inside my car", Chinedu said.
Yewande entered with Ifeoma and they both sat at the back.
"What's the problem? With all the wealth Emeka amassed? All finished", Chinedu asked rhetorically.
"They have collected all from me", Yewande sobbed.
"It's okay?", Chinedu consoled.
"Where is Emeka, jnr?", Chinedu asked again.
"He was taken away from me", Yewande said facing palms.
They were out of the traffic and had gotten home.
They all came out from the car and entered Chinedu's house.
"Have a seat", Chinedu told them.
He continued, "why haven't you run to help since? Me or Dozie?".
"I didn't know your whereabouts", Yewande said.
She continued, "And Dozie didn't help, he had an excuse he was facing financial crisis", Yewande sobbed.
"Wow! This is serious

. Friends indeed", Chinedu retorted.
"I think you both should have your bath and eat", Chinedu said and pointed bathroom and kitchen to them. He made to his room and left them in the parlour.
Yewande and Ifeoma did as he requested.
They hadn't bathed since Mama sent them packing.

Chinedu came back to the sitting room and handed a cheque of hundred thousand naira to her.
"You can stay in my house for two days, before I get you sorted with an apartment", Chinedu said.
Yewande was mouth agape. She thought she was in another realm as she fell on the ground.
"Stand", Chinedu said smiling
"It's nothing", he said again.
"Thank you,I'm grateful. You'd been my saviour", Yewande had praises littered in her mouth.
"Thank God", Chinedu replied and walked out.
Yewande was happy, at least her dead hope is seeming glistering.
In two days time,
Yewande and Ifoema moved to their house.
She couldn't stop thanking Chinedu for the help.
She had started healing from her inner wounds and found solace in happiness.
She started off with selling cooked food in all assortment.
She made a wood stand, and a raffia palm frond as the shade.
Just like other bukateria around with poor funding.
She had two long chairs and a table where customers sat and eat their food, as she sold her food.
Days in, customers started trooping in to patronise her; she cooked perfect tasty food very well.
She had experience from cooking for her mother in their restaurant.
She enrolled Ifeoma to a Government primary school. She used to attend a private school but Yewande hoped all will be well.

1990
Yewande liked Ifeoma so much that she wouldn't want to hear that someone beat her.
Ifeoma had really helped her cause.
She was a brilliant and obedient child, so she wasn't using her mother's love to be troublesome.
Anytime she came back from school, she helped with chores at home before coming to join her mother to make sales.
She was ten years, though she stopped school for a while during their sufferings, she came back to repeat the class and she had been the best. Ifeoma was currently in primary five.
One fateful day, she came back from school and was crying.
It was last day at school and they were given their report cards.
"Ifeoma, why are you crying", Yewande asked.
Yewande continued, "okay, I understand, you didn't take first position again but these are trivialities provided you passed".
"No Mum! I was first by a higher average but some old female bullies in my class the failed their exams again came at me for covering my book during examinations", she cried again.
Yewande was riled and asked Ifeoma to lead her to where those girls live at. Yewande went to their house one by one to serve a warning to them or they'd see what she was capable of doing.

October 1990
Ifeoma was back to school as usual.
She had resumed a new class and had gotten acquainted to her primary six teacher.
Her teacher liked her very much and always went home with her as she drops her off in her mother's shop.
A fateful day, Yewande was selling food under her shade as usual and a tragedy struck.
