The Seal
"Tell me what happened", Jason said as soon as he got into the Ed's apartment. He had just travelled down from Mija to Salga to heed Ed's call, he was exhausted but he couldnt rest until he knew what he was up against here. He couldn't ask for details over the phone for fear of the details of their conversation falling into the wrong hands. Now that he was here looking into the face of Ed, the supposed chosen one he was afraid
. The one who was supposed to save the whole of man kind is terrified and shaking like a leaf. The shock of his whole ordeal had just set in.
"Tell me what happened", he said again pulling Ed's palms from under his armpit and squeezing it to reassure him.
"I---I felt..."
"Hey calm down, I am here to help. Take a deep breath and begin". Ed took several deep breaths and finally found a steady voice.
"I was walking to the market and all of a sudden I felt a gust of wind gathering behind me and I turned around.... It was Mangi himself, I couldn't believe it but he is free..."
"Wait! Lemme get this straight. You saw Mangi?"
"I saw Mangi he told me he was coming for me."
"You saw Mangi?... That's not true

"I saw Ominas in the form of humans, at their touch I crumpled to the ground unable to do anything but lie there holding my knees to my self. I thought I was having one of my panic attack episodes but when I got into the bath to take my bath after that ordeal I saw this..." He unbuttoned his shirt and slowly revealed a symbol that was crested on his chest.
At the sight of this, Jason gasped as he reached out to touch the symbol on Ed's chest. It was two drangons with entangled tails blowing fire at each other; "The Ifra" Jason gasped out in awe. The sign of the beginning of a new war. "If the Ifra has appeared again after all these years then you best buckle up for war. It's gonna be a long haul".
Ed rubbed his temples in a circular motion. "Why me? Why did they put the symbol on me?" He asked almost crying out his frustration.
"They are gonna use your blood to keep the gates to the spirit world perpetually open so they can go in and out at will", Jason answered gravely.
"You mean they are going to kill me?"
"In the end they will but before then you need to keep this seal concealed. The Ominas will kill anyone who sees the seal on your body."
Edward was sad, he didn't have much friends and people found him to be weird and generally avoided him. Now here was another reason for him to even be the one avoiding people. He had no friends, no except Kana and.... Jane. He jerked up suddenly startling Jason.
"Jane... We've got to save Jane." He said in a panick.
"Who the hell is Jane?" Jason asked, a little annoyed at Edward - the Chosen one's child like behaviour.
"She is one of the only two people who ever really called me friend".
"So what now?"
"She saw the seal!!!".
