Made - Episode 7
Friend indeed
Two days later i was discharged from hospital. Mercy came to pick me up with my car. I had insisted that i was going back to my house despite Mercy persuasion for me to go stay in her house for a while. I knew evil was in Kim's heart but assured myself that as long as i left him alone he would not follow me. This chick is crazy right?..we should call her crazy Danny. After hours of arguing Mercy gave up and let me do what i wanted but on condition that she would place cameras all over my place to be sure i was safe. I didn't argue on at this point . I just wanted to go home.
The car pulled up infront of the apartment i lived in. Mercy parked the car in its space, alighted and went to the car boot to pick up the bag containing my belongings.
"Are you coming or what?"
A bit startled i opened the car door, alighted and timidly followed Mercy. I know she is still upset with me for wanting to stay at my place with crazy Kim still around I cant believe i won that argument.
Three weeks had past since i left this apartment on that eventful Sartuday.
"I will take the stairs" i said
My apartment was on the first floor. As i took one step after another climbing up i was not sure what to expect

. After finishing the first flight of stairs, i sat on the last step of the second flight.
'Girl this mess is crazy.'
I held my head between my knees and shut my eyes. I could see him clearly. His feet aproaching the wooden gate. Was he actually planning to shoot me or was it just a stunt to scare me off? I shuddered at the thought of him wanting to kill me. Joke or not it showed some serious darkness embeded on Kim's soul. I finished the last stairs and i was suprised to see Mercy standing there still waiting for me. The door was locked. She handed the keys to me.
The house was clean and i could smell the scent of my favourite air freshener. Everything was neately arranged. Utensils were all cleaned and laundry done. My bed was also neatly spread with clean sheets.
"Thanks Mercy you shouldn't have bothered yourself with all this. I could have done it you know"
"Girl please, have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately?"
I stopped infront of the mirror and flinched at what i saw. I had shade alot of weight.
"All you need to do is too eat, sleep and relax. No more Kim."
"No more Kim," i replied.

. For the first time in my life i meant it.
"Philip said he doesn't want to see you at work until you are fully recoverd. You should have watched you two at the hospital it felt like you had been friends for ages.
"You were watching us? From where?" I was clearly puzzled.This girls_gossip would kill us one day.
"I had to see the birth of twin Philipo with an F." She replied petulantly as we both burst into laughter. Mercy then proceeded to prepare my favourite meal. Chicken stew and chapati. She even offerd to feed me which i bluntly refused. Remember when i said Mercy was the one person i could count on, forgive me for such an understatement. She is just the perfect example of friends we do not deserve. Almost like the undeserving grace from God. We finished our meal and Mercy had to leave for she had to report to work early the following day.
"Before i leave, a gentleman brought this for you."
It was one of my atm cards.
"Where did he get that?" I asked
"He said you bumped into him at the cafe and left without picking it up."
I rememberd the incident, just then my phone buzzed.
'Hey Danny, no more cold days. Get well soonest. Please take care of yourself.'
