And so meeting Gideon had all started when she was writing her Final Year project. Being the only one among her roommates who wasn't attached with another emotionally, she had so much time for her books than Adesuwa or Akosua.

On her way to the Library on that fateful day, she felt for the first time in three years a line that touched that emotional cord of hers.

"Excuse me Beauty! Your face looks familiar" Came the voice of Gideon who just was panting, as he had to run in order to catch up with her before she enters the library.

Calming himself down with a heavy sigh, he said "It's either I have seen your face before in the sun during the day or I definitely have seen it in the moon during the night."

“Have someone ever told you before that your beauty competes with that of the stars?” Gideon added to make sure she stops and give him a listening ear.

Of course this caught her attention. Gideon was dark in complexion, very masculine and well-bearded. A perfect definition of one who belongs to the gang ofbeardmen. I still wonder why ladies love bearded men this much sha

Asante couldn't tell why she even waited for him. But for the fact that she did, probably means there was just a bigger picture to the whole thing. She had thought in heart. I wish she knew.

"Oh. That's good to know. But am sorry am not the one. I have never been to the moon nor the sun before. So I don’t look like any of them. If you don't mind I have some research to do" Asante replied sarcastically making his lines of no effect and sounded as if she was about to leave.

"One more minute my princess. I think you are right. You have never been to the sun or the moon before.” Gideon said to catch her attention.

“I just felt that now. You are even too precious to be the one doing the moving. I think it’s them that have been to you. It's so obvious with the radiance shown by your smile" Gideon said holding her left hands this time around to hinder her from going.

Asante felt this lines in the uppermost and lowest parts of her veins and arteries. Her heart began to beat faster. She has never heard something like this since she dumped Abraham in year one. Perhaps it’s because she never gave any other boy a chance to say this to her. She had been aggressive to them all along.

For the space of that three years, every other boy that spoke to her seems to have the face or voice of Abraham. She saw and heard him in each of their faces and voices. She had still not gotten herself for over two years now. And the more this happened, the more reasons she thought the life of celibacy was probably what fitted her.

Gideon's face and voice was however different. Perhaps because of his facial charm. He was just too handsome. But yet she was scared of going through all that she went through with the shame from Bernard and the disappointment from Abraham. She didn't want more heart ache much more of a heart break.

"Well, am gonna give it to you - you really have guts. If it were before, and a guy held my hand or even tried to touch me. I would have slapped the hell out of him." Asante said withdrawing her hands from him with anger.

"Meanwhile thank you for your words. Once more, the Sun, the moon, and I have never meant before. The earlier you realize that, the better for you. Think about something else next time. That’s, if you ever see me though." Asante said leaving him behind as she went into the library.

Gideon then smiled as he knew he had played the first-half well. "Am sure, she will give me more time to talk next time" He said within himself as he smiled. The conversation may not have ended well, but it sure started well.

Just then Asante looked back from the entrance of the library to have another gaze of this Handsome-Black-Boy she had just meant.

Just then, Gideon looked at her direction too. Their eyes meant. Believe me, it was love at first sight.

But, will those eyes ever meet again?Or is there even anything like love at first sight? If yes, does it lasts? Asante was just about to be in trouble unknowingly.
