SORRY IT'S BEEN A WHILE, BEEN REALLY OCCUPIED WITH MANNYYY THINGS. THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING. HERE IS THE LONG AWAITED EPISODE.

  KENNIE

“How do you feel man? You are finally getting married” Paul says behind me.

I turned to look at him, grinning at me like an excited cat. Is he the groom?
I sighed deeply.

“You don’t look so happy” he said, moving towards me.

“Is anything the matter?” he asked

“Nothing” I replied “I’m not just really feeling this, that’s all”

“That’s what happens when you are overexcited” Peter said, stepping out of the dressing room.

He looks so cool in that tuxedo.

“Like when a car’s speed exceeds it speedometer” he added, fumbling with the hand button of his shirt.

“Don’t worry,” he said, laying a hand on my shoulder “everything will go on well”
I give a small smile.

  I pray so.

TWO YEARS AGO – IN THE THEATRE

Machines start to beep and everyone looked up at a certain monitor.

A female nurse’s hand starts to shake and the male doctor grabbed it tightly, squeezing it.

“Her vitals are very weak” a female doctor said, standing by the monitor

“We’ll continue with what we were doing” Dr . Henry said.

Putting forward his hands, he asked “Scissors”

“Tyler, get in the car right now” I screamed.

Oh, these little ones just know the right buttons to press to get one to blow his top.

“Where is Bev?” I asked my little boy.
Tyler, dressed in the same attire as his dad, is looking quite grown-up for his age.

“Bev?” he asked

“I thought I left her here” he pointed to the entrance.
Oh no!

I put my right hand on my hip, looking frustrated.

I feel a cold breath on my neck and turn back, unknowingly into the embrace of my husband.

“Calm down baby, okay?”

“Alright” I replied, getting out of his embrace

“Bev, she probably thinks we are playing hide and seek right now

. She’s just going to…” I say and he interrupts me with a kiss on my cheek.

“Get in the car with Tyler. I’ll go get her” he said and entered the house.
I enter the car with Tyler trailing guiltily behind me

“Sorry mommy” he said

“It’s alright baby” I replied and he smiles, revealing cute dimples.
Oh, how I love my son!

Brent comes out, with Bev sitting on his neck, holding his head with a pout.
She’s probably angry right now that her father ruined her game. All she thinks about is food, sleep and play. Little thing.

He places her on my lap and I belt us two to the seat. She refuses to smile unlike normally, so I tickle her and her dimples showed, as well as her gap tooth.

Beverly, my beautiful baby, is just a little over a year. I don’t know who she resembles most because people say she looks like us two very much.

Somehow, I think she looks more like Tyler.

Exactly two years ago, we were all in front of the theatre, pooling strength from God and warming one another up. It is not an experience I pray to have again.

I feel a hand on my lap and look up to see my husband sparing glances at me.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked, sparing another quick glance at me.

“Nothing much, just old times” I answer, looking up directly at him with a smile.

TWO YEARS AGO – IN THE THEATRE

The machine starts to bring more repeated sounds.

The female nurse starts to shake much more.

The zigzag lines on the monitor start becoming straight.

  Dr.

. Doris raised her head and the surgical instrument fell from her hand.

The sound reverberated in the room and apart from that, only the sound of the machine could be heard.

“Dr. Doris” Dr. Henry called out “calm down”

The doctor took the scissors, used it and returned it.

The lines on the monitor go straight and a female nurse broke into sobs.

“Take her out” Dr. Henry said and the male doctor takes her hand in his as he took her out of the room.

VICTORIA

“What if I forgot the bag?” Jonathan asked me

“Well, just thank God you didn’t” I replied “I would pull off the hair on your skin, one by one”

“Ooh” he swallowed a bit fearfully “thank God I didn’t then”

“Yeah, did you see the physiotherapist?” I asked

“I did, though I got there late”

“Okay” I said, putting my elbow on the car door.

Two years ago, I almost lost my husband. Two years ago, Jonathan was in a coma.

I looked at him, he looked at me and our eye met. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

Two years ago, I met some amazing people that I can never forget. A life changing meeting.
My smile wanes and I started to play with my fingers.

“What are you thinking about?” Jonathan asks and I turn to look at him.

“Just two years ago”

“Hmm” Jonathan expresses “What a year!”
