She’s so round now . We all thought pregnancy would soften her but we were proved wrong. She got worse, adding other ways.
“What’s wrong with this man? He looks really sleepy” Peter said from behind me but I pretended not to hear.
“Didn’t I tell you all yesternight?” Paul asked.
“What?” Brent and Ray asked simultaneously, walking in.
“When did you guys get here?” Peter asked
“Just some moments ago” Ray replied.
“Just look at Ken” Paul said, facepalmng
“Yes, what’s wrong with him?” Ray asked
“Didn’t I tell you guys this would happen after praying the whole night?” Paul asked
“As if you didn’t pray” Brent answered, sitting down.
I chuckled inside. They are just something else.
“I think I know why he’s moody!” Paul shouted, looking excited
“Why?”
“He probably doesn’t know what to do tonight” he replied
“Ohhhh!” they all faceplamed and I groaned inside.

TESSIE
“Tesslie!” somebody shouted my name and I looked in the direction.
“Tesslie!” Tyler repeats, running to me with wide open arms.
How many times will I tell this boy it’s Tessie and not Tesslie?

“You want to use your head to hit my baby?” I asked him sternly.
“So someone cannot hug again because of baby” he mumbled.
“Ehn, what did you say?” I asked sternly and he pbouted still.
“Abeg, no scare my big baby o” Nancy said, pulling Tyler’s head to her body with one hand, and carrying Bever with the other.
“Beaver, Beaver, my baby” I hurried to her and took Beaver fom her.
“Bever, Bever, Bev, woman, not Beaver” Tyler said and facepalmed. Nancy broke into laughter.
“You call me Teslie too” I said, sticking out a tongue.
He turned the other way and left, shaking his head and muttering inaudible words.
“You’ve frustrated the cute boy” Nancy said
“But he loves me the same” I said
She smiled and gave me the look I know so well.
“What?” I asked
“Isn’t tomorrow the EDD?” she asked
“Yeah” I answered
“You should be home, you know”
“I won’t miss this wedding for anything”

TWO YEARS EARLIR
“What happened? Why are you crying?” Kennie rushed to meet the sobbing nurse.
“Nothing” she replied, though her hands were shaking.
“Nurse Emmie, Dr. Carson, what’s up?” Nancy asked fearfully.
The girl burst into another sob.
“Emmeline!” Nancy shouted
“Calm down” Brent said, rubbing her hand.
“What happened, Doctor?” Tessie asked.
“Nurse Maddy, she’s…” Carson said with a shaky voice
“Oh no!” Victoria gasped

“It’s like this wedding will start and finish before the bride comes o” Victoria said in hushed voice to Tessie.
“Abeg let the bride take her time” Sherifat said, from Victoria’s other side.
“By the way, where is Teniola?” Nancy asked “She and Tyler were here now now with Bev”
“What did you expect when you brought them to the beach?” Tessie replied “I’ve asked a security officer to look after them”
“See,” Sherifat said, pointing far away “Teniola is there, playing with Tyler and Arinola is playing with Bev”
“Arin loves babies” Nancy said “We’ll call them after a while”
“Yeah” Victoria replied “When is your EDD, Tessie?”
“Today” Tessie replied
“Ehh,’ V ictoria exclaimed “you should be home o”
“I’m with you people now, I am safe, aren’t I?” Tessie asked
“She won’t listen, will she?” Victoria asked
“No” Nancy replied
“Okay”
A man moves forward wearing a blue suit.
“So, let’s get this wedding started” He said
