“I thought you said your EDD was tomorrow anyway” Nancy asked

“Yeah” Tessie replied, munching on her cookie.

“You just told me it’s today” Victoria said

“Really?” Tessie asked “This cookie is wonderful, my dearies”

“Yeah yeah” Nancy said, then whispered to Victoria “Let’s just leave it as it is, the baby will sha come laslas”

Brent walked over to them.

“I’ve searched for Tyler, I can’t find him” he said.

“He’s with Teniola and Bev is with Arinola” she replied

“Okay, thank you honey” he said
 “But how come you are not going back to the bride? I thought you would”

“No o, I was explaining to you in the car nau”

“Really?” he asked.

“Yeah. Okay, ;et me say it again” she said.

“No o,” Tessie shouted “let me say it jare”

“Oda oda say o, Tessie the talker” Victoria said

“She asked us to leave in the afternoon, that she will come around wih the other goons”

“You mean after you started feeling weak?” Sherifat asked.

“And you insisted on us all leaving together?”

“Whatever! Plus, we are all married and she insists she wants the single ones to tap the wedding anointing” Tessie said

“Oh My God” Brent said, rolling his eyes

“They will never change” he muttered to himself.

“Ken, are you okay?” Tessie asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.

“Yeah, I’m good” he replied and turned his head the other way “You should ask Nancy”

“I’m okay too” Nancy said “You should really ask Vicky”

“But Dr . Carson,” Nancy said “Why aren’t the rest coming out? Surgery is over, isn’t it?”

“About that,” he answered “I really don’t know”

IN THE THEATRE

. Doris called “what now? She’s already gone”

“There are no vital signs again” a nurse said

“Okay” Dr. Henry replied

“Won’t we leave here? I mean, what are we doing? Just staring at her corpse”
“Okay, okay, you guys can leave” he replied

“Sir?” the nurse asked, her voice already shaky

“Yeah, leave” he replied.

OUTSIDE THE THEATRE

_It’s been another day when it feels like faith eludes me,_
_Everything’s been so confusing, fear got the best of me._
_Now I’m lying here worried about tomorrow,_
_‘Cos the weight of everything I don’t know, is so heavy I can’t breathe._
_But the truth remains the same, even when I don’t kow what to say,_
_But what I know…_

“Whose phone is that?” Kennie asked ”I think it’s yours, Victoria”

“Hun, yeah” she picks up her phone, then hisses “6442”

“Can you please play the song for me?” Kennie asked “I really like it”

“Okay” Victoria asked and played the song

_I could throw my fist in the air demanding answers,_
_But in spite of all the questions, I’m still giving you my heart._
_And if it doesn’t turn out how I think it should, it doesn’t change the fact you’re always good_

_And the truth remains the same, even when I don’t know what to say_

“Fatima?” Dr.

  A very thick silence hung in the air.

“Time of death,” she said as tears ran down her cheek “two-fifty…

  They were interrupted by the beeping of machines.

“What is this?” Dr. Doris asked

“Doctor, do you see what I see?” Nurse Fatima asked

“This is…”Dr. Henry asked

“A miracle from heaven!” a doctor replied

“Time of rebirth” Fatima said “Two-fifty-two”

“No no,” I have to go tell Carson and Emmeline

“So, shall we continue?” Dr. Henry asked 

“You don’t seem too fazed” Dr. Doris asked

“Well, I would’ve been if it never happened” he replied.

  OUTSIDE THE THEATRE

“Emmy! Carson! Nurse Nancy!” the doctor shouted as he opened the door

“We know already” Emmeline said, sitted on the floor

“No, you don’t know” he shouted

“Dr. Collins, what is it now?” Nancy asked

“You just guess” he answered

“Collins, you are mad. What is so funny in Nurse Maddy’s death?” Carson asked “Are you a wizard?”

“Abi she woke up ni?” Tessie asked “Like Lazarus?”

“No, not like Lazarus” Collins replied ‘’Lazarus spent four days, some of us here would follow her if she did”

“What are you trying to say?” Kennie asked.

“Tell these people to enter and let us finish up the operation o”

“Ehn?” Victoria said, raising her head.

“We don’t need autopsy, please. Does Dr. enry do autopsies ni?” Carson asked

“Well, her vitals are back, buddy” Collins said

“What?” people asked at diferent times.

“Are you serious?” Nancy asked

“Wait, we were praying without even believing it? Like Peter’s church members” Tessie asked.

“My God!” Nancy said, kneeling on the floor.

“Ehmm” Tessie said “Dr. Carson, Nurse Emmy, Dr. Collins, oya enter, go finish up that surgery and bring out our miracle, please”

“Am I meant to break or dance right now?” Kennie asked

“You can breakdance!” they all replied.

“Broom! Broom!” Paul rushed into the room, bending to check under the bed.

“What are you looking for?” Peter asked

“I was asked to bring the broom, it’s almost time” Paul replied.

“I feel like calling you an idiot, but I won’t” Peter replied.

“You just did” Kennie replied, laughing.

“Ordinary groom, he can’t say correctly” Peter said

“I’m not an ordinary groom o, I’m extraordinary”

“Oh, you mean extra broom?” Pl asked and they all asked

“What happened to you before?” Peter asked

“Two years ago,” Kennie replied “I was thinking about two years ago.”

“I wish I were there” Paul said

“I don’t think you would have witnessed it.” Kennie said, Peter adjusting his tie“You would’ve fainted earlier” 

“Whatever!” Paul said, turning his back to the two

“All set!” Peter said “Now let’s get you married, mister”
