FIONA - Episode 11

 

“You are awake,” Grandma Mia said immediately Fiona came down from her room. “Good morning grandma” Fiona greeted and immediately Jojo, Kisha, and Lola joined them at dinner with all speaking in unison “Good morning grandma”. 
They were all having dinner and smiling at each other when the doorbell rang. “I will get it” Jojo volunteered as she headed for the gate. 

Within a few minutes, she came back with a box . “It is a delivery” she spoke out and they all looked puzzled. “It's for you actually,” she said, handing the white box to Fiona who looked confused. “For me,” Fiona asked and Jojo nodded yes. Fiona checked for the sender's name but there was no name. It was anonymous but a little note had writing that said “I thought they would look good on you for the party. Hope you like them”. Fiona read out the wording on the note but still not figuring out the sander. Kisha suddenly took the note from Fiona and let out “ahh ha, I just knew it”. “Who is it?” Fiona asked. “Well, if the person wasn't going to tell you their name, I am not going to either,” She said with a wide smile on her face that sent Fiona more confusion. “Common open it lets see” Lola immediately grabbed the box from Fiona and began unwrapping it

. “Ohh….. my…. Goddd” this is sooooo... beautiful” Lola said emphasizing each word. Fiona's hands immediately went over her mouth at the sight of the dress. 

It was a white long-sleeved mermaid dress with appliques black lace. It was elegant and fully matching the black heels that came along. Within the box, there was also another box that contained a brand new galaxy S20.  From the look of it, you could tell that the gifts were truly expensive and whosoever got it knew exactly what they were doing. 
“This is so beautiful. I can’t believe you are already leaving us” Grandma Mia said and her eyes filled with tears. “She is not leaving. Like leaving, leaving. She will be coming to visit us, right?. And we can go visit her too” Lola replied. “Don't worry Grandma, I will definitely be coming to visit. And sure, you can all come to visit me anytime any day. You people are my family.” Fiona added. ‘Trust me I am already at your house” Jojo added and they all laughed. 

“If you guys continue talking, we're gonna miss the party” Olivia's voice came from out of the blue. “Olivia” Fiona screamed with excitement. She ran to Olivia and pulled her in a hug. “I have a gift for you” Olivia opened the box. It was another beautiful red short dress with a long black boot. “I thought they would look beautiful for the party” she stated. “Ohh, I Uhm, I already have a dress. Someone bought me this beautiful dress and for a second, though it was you. I mean if not you then who” Fiona was immediately left with the thought of it being from Michel. “Did the person who sent it leave a note or something” Olivia inquired? “No, they did not, but I think I might know” She added nodding her head with a smile on her face as the idea of it being from Michel clouded her thought. 

Things haven't been the same between her and Michel since the day they went exploring the city. Somehow, it feels like a weird spark grew between them but at the same time, Michel has been avoiding her. He leaves before she is awake and returns from work only after they all are asleep. She felt guilty for not being able to tell Michel who tried to kill her because, in reality, she is also in search of answers. They did have an amazing time together so why would he be avoiding her?

“The stylists are here” Lola screamed with excitement after the two women entered the house carrying to baggies with them. The ladies all went to the dressing room in the basement. It was large and had different cloth and shoes all organized based on category. They had varieties of shoes, clothes, and other feminist things.

The ladies dressed up in different dresses that complemented their looks Fiona wore the dress that was supposedly sent by Michel. Her hair was made into a simple style that exposed the curves and length of her thick black hair. Her makeup was made nude as she had demanded. The dress was well fitting and neatly exposed her curves. Kisha wore a short pink cocktail dress that complicated her look and made her into the perfect human barbie. Jojo wore a simple short dress with a mixed yellow African dress. Lola had on a long back mermaid dress with silver heels and jewelry. Olivia had on a short red dress and a long black boot, similar to the one she had bought for Fiona. 
They stayed in the dressing room complementing each other's look while chatting about every other thing.

“I think the audience has started coming,” one Lola informed. The audience was not large as it contained basic members of the Salamis friends and family, most of whom did not even know Fiona but came anyway. “We should be heading to the pool now, people are already coming” Lola added and they all agreed. “I think you should be the last to meet the audience since it's your party. ” Jojo whispered and Fiona replied with a “No way”. 

The ladies headed towards the stairs with Fiona at the end of the group. The audience's attention immediately shifted towards them with a wow. For a while Michel was looking for Fiona among the ladies and soon noticed she was at the end of the group, taking her time to go down the stairs. He couldn't help but stare at her, it felt like a wave of excitement showered him as he got lost in staring at the beautiful Fiona before him. The flashes of camera seemed like a magical ball that complemented both her movement and smile.
 All of a sudden he remembered the picture of happy Fiona with a guy on her IG and a glimpse of pain flashed in his eyes. 

Fiona walked toward Michel upon noticing that he was standing beside Grandma Mia. Grandma pulled her into a hug and whispered, "you look stunning my child". "Thank you grandma" Fiona replied. Lifting her head from hugging grandma, she noticed a Michel frowning as he tried to keep his attention away from her. “Hey Michel, is everything okay,” She asked and he did not reply but nodded instead. He looked at her with what looked like a cold shoulder and turned away, but to Michel, it was much of a pain then coldness. 

“Mr. Attitude. I really pity the poor girl he is going to Marry” Fiona stated. “Yep, I pity you too” Grandma Mia replied without looking at Fiona whose eyes grew wide. 

“Keep lying to yourself that you feel nothing for her and watch other men take the lead” Sam, said to Michel who had moved far away from the audience to the drinks bar. “I told you, she is someone else’s” Michel replied blatantly. “Leave that man, it really doesn't matter. Maybe it does if she is married but how do you know. Did she tell you? “I don’t need a woman. They are all the same” Michel replied in a cold tone. “You can’t dwell on the past. You can either sit here and create non-existing problems in your head or walk to that cute chick and ask her for a date” Sam added. “She is not a chick” Michel blurted. “Well then ask her on a date” Sam added and Michel refused. 
“Ohh haa, it seems like we have a guest” Sam stated as he noticed Fiona approaching them. 

“Hey,” Fiona said to Michel. “You are such a goddess,” Sam said to Fiona and she blushed. 
“Wanna take a walk” She requested. “I was just discussing something very”...  Michel tried to turn her down. “Actually, we were done talking. See you later bro, Sam pads his shoulder before making his way to leave them.
