So zinny just made me remember my first story 'stolen innocence' and i

felt like asking this. Who is more callous, Mr ogoh of stolen

innocence or our dear luscious? I really need to know.

Jake:

My head is throbbing so hard as i blink my heavy eyes open. My brain

remind me of the current situation . My dad killed Hannah, i am now his

hostage and Sarah might also be in trouble. That last thought is

enough to wake me up better. The room i am in is dark that tells me

that night has fallen. My right hand feel heavy and i squint my eyes

to see a chain around my wrist. Its long and it seems to be tied to

something else. I use my hands to feel around and that's when I touch

a warm body. Am not alone. I tap the person.

"hey wake up. Hey"please dont be a dead body.

"hey, can you hear me?"i feel for the person's hand and jerk the body.

"ouch! Stop it. That hurts" the body whimper and i recognise the voice

immediately.

"Sarah?"

"Jake! Oh my God, where are we? Why is it so dark in here? Ouch who

put that wall there?" she keep rambling till i place my hand on her

shoulder

. My eyes are adjusting to the darkness and i can see her

alittle now.

"Stop moving or you might hurt yourself" i say

"dont tell me what to do. Help! Help me please! I dont have any money.

I think you kidnapped the wrong person!" she keep yelling and my

headache threatens to split my brain.

"Stop screaming. Its no use" i say but that only make her screams louder.

"Get me out! Get me out of here! I want out!" she scream louder. I grab

her shoulder to stop her.

"Dont touch me!" she yell and i quickly extract my hand.

"Sarah, calm down. I'll make sure nothing happens to you. Trust me

okay" i say and i hear her scoff.

"I should trust you? That's funny because i dont trust you anymore

after you lied to me."

"What are you talking about? I never lied to you."

"Stop lying to my face you jerk! I dare you talk to that woman about

us? You made a fool out of me" she slam her fist repeatedly against my

chest and she sob out those words that have left me as confused as

ever.

"Gosh, i was crying out my heart to you just last night and today you

got back together with your ex who is also your baby mama. That's not

the worse of it neither is the fact that you called what we had a

little fling. The worse of it all is that you never came when i needed

you. If you had come back to me at home, then i wouldn't be here

chained to you." she continues. I grab her hand then pull her into my

body.

"Listen Sarah. I dont know where or how you got to know about Hannah

and daisy but just know that it isn't how it seems" i tell her while

rocking her shaking body.

"We need to keep that aside and look for a way to get out of this mess

that is my dad. Okay?" i ask.

"Your dad? Why would your dad kidnap the both of us?" she ask then pull

away from me.

"Because he is a monster. Look, i can't explain everything right now

but you have to know that your mom isn't dead and i think my dad is

trying to draw her here with you as bait" i try toExplain.

"What? Why? I dont understand"

"Listen sweet pea, I'll explain later. But first of--"i go to say but

Sarah's hand over my mouth cut me off

"shh. What's that sound?" she ask and that is when i notice the ticking sound.

"wait!." I take her hand off my mouth as she scream.

"what?"

"what's that light?" she ask while pointing towards my back. I follow

the direction of her hand and notice a little red light in the

distance.

"Let's go closer" i say and start moving towards the light until the

chain around my wrist goes taut.

"ouch. Stop moving, i think we are tied together. Its probably

nothing" Sarah say but i shake my head. This is definitely something.

"Its counting down Sarah" say

"What? Its a timer?" Sarah walks over to stand beside me which allows

me to walk closer to the light. I see strange wires connected to a

rectangular machines which the countdown timer is joint to the top. I

have watched enough action movies to know what this is.

"is that -"

"a bomb!" i scream at the same time as Sarah.

"Oh my God Jake we are going to die. Like die die. Like blown into

unaccountable pieces with anything to bury. Death by bombing. God i

always thought I'll die old and happy with my grand children running

around and a dog or maybe two. Right now i dont even have one dog how

will i get two" Sarah ramble. I think she is having a panic attack. I

have to grab her shoulders and shake her before her eyes focus on me.

"We are going to die" she sob out. Her whole body is shaking beside me

and i can't get my mind to work on a plan to get out of here. I take

in a deep breathe then survey the room. There's a small window by the

far corner but its very high. If i could just get us out of this

chains I'll be able to lift Sarah on my shoulders and get her out. The

timer is currently at 9 minutes and 47 secs counting down.

"we just have to get out of this chain" I muse

"how are we going to do that? It can't come off" sarah says while

trying to slip the chain off her hand. Wait! Slip. That's what we have

to do. If we could just make our hand slippery maybe it could slide

off our hands. I just have to find something wet. I look around d dark

room for anything wet but to no avail but then i remember my hand

sanitazer which i always carry with me. I use my free hand to get it

out of my pocket and start pouring the content on my hand.

"even in this situation, you are still being an obnoxious star?" Sarah says

"give me your hand Sarah" i tell her and she reluctantly does. I empty

the bottle on her hand then try to slip the chain out of her wrist.

"oww it hurts" Sarah whine

"Am sorry but we have to get it out quickly. We just have about three

minutes." i keep twisting and pulling on the chain on sarah's wrist and

it seems to be finally coming off slowly. Her wrists are now bloody

but a broken wrist is better than being dead.

"this is going to hurt More but its necessary okay?" i say to Sarah

right before i yank the chain off.

"ouch! I think my wrist is broken" Sarah clutch her wrist in  her other

hand and i can't help the relieve that floods me at her release.

"Now come on Sarah. Get on my shoulders. I need to get you out that

window up there. Come on. There is no time" i crouch on the floor

waiting for her to get on. She starts coming towards me but stop

suddenly.

"Wait, what about you? If i get out, how will you? That timer is

already at 2 and half minute. When will you get out? How will you get

out? That window is too high. I can't just leave you here"

"Sarah, you have to. One of us have to get out. So get on!"

"no no no. Lets try the door. It could work"Sarah moves to the door

and force it open without success but she keep pulling on the handle.

I walk to where she is and grab her hand.

"Sarah" i breath out her name and she turn to hug me fiercely.

"i can't leave you here. No. I can't" she sob out on my neck. I hold her

for a few seconds but i know our time is limited so i pry her away

from me.

"listen Sarah. You have to leave now. The both of us can't die like

this and you won't be able to boost me up so its only sensible that

you be the one to leave.

. We dont have much time but know that i love

you more than my whole life okay sweet pea? Promise me that you will

live your life to the fullest. Never think you are unwanted and dont

mourn my death. Be happy for me okay? And please take care of my

daughter for me please. I love you Sarah" i say before i crush my mouth

to sarah's in a desperate kiss. I fill my senses with her smell, her

taste, her essence. I can't help the tear that fall down my eye. Sarah

stick herself to me and i have to pry her hands from around me before

she let go.

"Jake"she sob out again and i look at the timer. One minute and 59 secs.

Why is it so fast?

"come on Sarah" i grab her hips and hoist her on my shoulders.

"you have to leave Sarah, please" i beg when she just clamp her thighs

against my head refusing to let go.

"i can't" she says

"Think about my daughter. Only you can get out of here and take care

of her so she doesn't end up in an orphanage because her mother just

died. Please" i say and this seems to get to her because she finally

loosen up and go out the open window. I hear the reassuring thump of

her feet landing on the ground and i breath a sigh of relief before

sinking to the ground and watching the timer count down to my death.
