Eve - Episode 31

 

"Why would you neglect your other half? Splitting in two. You knew we needed revenge together.  We were going to ruin this world. Did you forget how they locked us up?" White burst sending flames in Eve's direction with a kick which she easily invaded. 

"Yes we were" 

"Oh, but there is a 'but'" white retorted with another spin kick aiming for her head but Eve blocked it just as easily.

"But I noticed just how beautiful this world is and the people in it" Eve aimed for her stomach with a fist but like Eve white blocked just as easily.

No one was getting a hit in after all they were the same people split in two except one wanted revenge and the other was trying to save it. 

Mumiyo, Ogun and Quam came to a halt fave to face with the giant figures. They could nearly even see or stand their ground with the gust of wind and fire flying in different directions . It took more than bravery to even come a mile close. 

"We have to stop them" Mumiyo raised her voice for the two to hear and Ogun almost burst out laughing. 

"And how do you intend to do that?" In mock humor Ogun replied her

"We could call out their names and tell them to stop. They are destroying the land" Quam interjected and this time Ogun burst out laughing.

. Fine let's see both of you try. We have enough time to make a fool of both yourselves after all there is a barrier." And just like the wind Oya appeared in the scene. 

"It's breaking" Oya''s voice hoarse breathed deeply "it won't hold" Oya looked like she had aged 30 years extra in human days. She was growing grey and her skin looked frail. Now Ogun began to panic. "They would destroy everything and we in it"

"Eve please hear me" Mumiyo began to pray. "You will destroy the world please stop. Please" she was desperate. 

Eve blocked another attack looking for a way to end this. She had heard Mumiyo's plea s and couldn't ignore her cry.

"Won't it be fun with human bodies?" Eve chipped in. If there was one thing they both loved, it was the idea of fun and quickly White smiled picking up on what Eve had said. 

"I know you are trying to stall the end of this pathetic world but battling in human form will indeed be fun" and quickly they both shrunk back into their shells ready to fight again. 

"Shoke? " Quam ran towards her. "No, Eve" he corrected himself smiling as he tasted her name on his lips and it almost felt right. "It's you..."

Eve was so distracted by the prince Quam she didn't see when White attacked stabbing Quam in the stomach hard and fast as blood spilled everywhere at the gapping wound. This was the second time she felt fear. The first, when she was trapped in the void and the second, seeing him bleed in her arms.

Shocked, afraid, not knowing what to do, she held the gaping hole trying to suppress the blood pouring her magic into him but still nothing, he just placed his hands on her face smiling up at her with bloody lips. 

"You taught me love" he coughed hard his eyes glazing over. "I love you E...." and he was gone.

An ear splitting wail shock the world. What was this feeling. Her chest tightened. Her heart pierced with grief.

Suddenly White was on her knees with tears in her eyes unable to comprehend the feeling or what was happening. 

"You loved him?" White croaked her heart bursting with grief after all she was still connected to her. Eve looked back at her. "Love?" That was the first time she said those words and looked back at Quam lifeless in her hands. "Love" the same word she thought she would never know. 

She got up with his body looking at her half. It's time we left. "Now" she said to the new god that joined and just as quick the two were merging.

"What did you do?" White screamed and looked to the god. Erinle held the horn shaped device in their direction merging both together. Eve had planted the idea in his head just incase of a situation like this and had activated it on seeing her second half.

"Well done" she praised. At last they were one as she grew in a height looking down at both the gods and humans. "Alas I know what it means to loose the one you hold dear and I shall leave your world but I'll bless this land as well as curse it" a seal appeared on the floor wrapping every one in it.

"This land will forever prosper. No lack what so ever but if blood is spilt on this land draught will strike and until the one responsible is purged for their crime.

. It will never prosper. Now I will bless the seed" Eve bent forward picking Mumiyo in her hands showing forth to the land. "This is the new seed. The ruler of the land of the gods as would her generation follow. Do not lay a hand on my chosen or your entire generation would end" light burst through Mumiyo as she stared in shocked. "She has shown love, forgiveness, strenght and charm. Mumiyo from now on you will bear 'ayaba ti gbogbo' meaning Queen of all" and both the gods and humans bowed in respect as Eve placed her down.

"Don't leave" Mumiyo begged shamelessly with tears in her eyes on her knees "you are my first true friend" she sobbed but Eve only smiled as she began to fade away "I'll never forget you" 

"Stand, your Kingdom awaits and I would never forget you my dear Mumiyo"

"Noooooooo, that cannot be the end" the children pouted. 

"But it's not"

"It's not?" The children questioned

"Of course not, the story would be told for generations. After all it was my great grand mother who told my grand mother who told my mother and who told me that has let this story of Eve to never be forgotten." She looked to the sky and then to the children who had formed a circle around her. "That's why this land has prospered even though it's hidden away from the world." She smiled warmly at them. "Now go play" she shoo-ed them till they were running and laughing outside.

"When are you going to tell then you are your own great grandmother" a giant figure with a tattoo on his forehead and a bald head approached her.

"When I start ageing"

"But you know that would never happen" he moved her hair behind her ear. "You were blessed directly by Eve Mumiyo or should I call you, ayaba ti gbogbo" Ogun chuckled.
